I don't know if this will be a minority opinion, but I have never really liked the idea of Money in the bank. Don't get me wrong, it adds suspense and tension to every title match, like will this be the swerve? But that's kind of the problem, isn't it? Whenever you have a big championship match, it makes it impossible to focus on said championship match cause you're always saying "Will this be the month Seth catches him? I mean Lesnar is facing Cena sure, but what if Seth Rollins cashes in!?" It's a major major distraction that makes it next to impossible to make title matches the main attraction of any card, because the audience is always waiting for a swerve.
The logistics of pulling off an E-fed MitB also seem remarkably unfair unless you basically guarantee the champion a one-on-one rematch. Because all one would have to do is wait till something real inhibits the champion's RP and pounce, which would essentially just lead to a rematch anyway. It's also kind of unfair to the winner of the case because everyone will say, and fairly, that he never deserved to be champion and that he's not a good RPer, especially if the cash-in-er loses that rematch. It would be detrimental to everyone's reputation in that scenario, in exchange for essentially a spot in the record books (not to cheapen the world championship by any means with that statement, but most people don't want an asterisk next to their name.)
Plus, speaking as a character who plays a babyface, I hate the way babyfaces use the case to basically pick the bones of a wounded champion. They essentially act in a cowardly way to steal the world title, but get a free pass because "unexpected!" There has only been one person who has successfully given the champion a warning as to when he will use it, and then used it, and that's RVD. Everyone else has been very much "I'm going to lie, sneak, and take advantage of a situation for my own good" which come on, is a heel tactic, even against a heel champion.
I have always liked Taboo Tuesday though, just so long as there's a stipulation in place that the people who don't get the votes get put in a match of some kind too, so there's always a reason to RP and you don't get left sitting out after putting in hours of work.
