First of all, congratulations on making it this far into the year! We've had a ton of stuff happen from ONE to Ascention de Mayo, and much more to come! As part of the Weekly awards, I decided to look over everything, crunch some numbers, and point out some of the bigger stars of the first half of 2015. At the end, a few observations made and conclusions drawn heading into the next half of the yea. In particular, for Ultimate Showdown. I hope you all enjoy, and may the second half of the 2015 year in the WCF smiles upon you!

Wrestler of the Half: Alex Richards
Team of the Half: Defilers of Logic
After the half-way point of the year, I've done a little numbers crunching and made a few observations...
At the halfway point, Alex Richards leads all wrestlers with the weekly nods for Wrestler of the Week, at 3 total. This is despite missing the first month or two. Excellent work!
Following behind is Kaz Mazy, with 2 and a Half (The half gained from recognition as part of a team...) nods, and Jay Omega, also with 2 and a Half nods, despite missing significant time during the half year. Again, excellent job to the both of you!
Five teams, (Three tag teams and Two Trios teams) managed to garner at least 1 nod as Wrestler of the Week, with one team managing to pull off two nods. The Defilers of Logic have 2 nods total, with Two and a Half Black Men, Poondock Saints, Chrono-Rippers, and The Pack gaining 1 nod, each. Good work by these teams to get noticed in such an environment where teams often can get overlooked!
Favored Matches: Poondock Saints vs. Vapor Kings AND Bobby Cairo vs. Natural "ICE" Beckman
Most Solid Wrestlers: Dune/ICE
Most Solid Teams: Poondock Saints/Defilers of Logic
Poondock Saints vs. Vapor Kings (Two nods): Though the end result was the same at both, where in the first the Poondocks managed to capture gold against their then-hated enemies. So good, it was ran again about a month and a half later, where despite their best efforts, the Vapor Kings were once again snubbed by the Poondock Saints. Though they are allies for now, who knows what will transpire in the next six months. Perhaps this is another match-up that may happen one more time before the close of the year.
Bobby Cairo vs. Natural "ICE" Beckman (Two nods): And there's also the dance with the two of them, plus dance partner Jay Omega to round out a Triple Threat that was insane! Pretty much any match that has these two is pretty much money, even though ICE holds the edge over Cairo in victories between the two men. Though ICE has taken some time off, should he return, it will be no surprise to me if these two get back into the ring again before the year is over.
Most Solid Team goes out to the Poondock Saints, who snagged gold back at the beginning of the year, and have not let go! They've been in several high-profile matches against the Vapor Kings, Chrono-Rippers, and the Hotdog Kings. Does anybody have what it takes to topple them in a big match? Also note is the Defilers of Logic, who were almost unknown going into Trios, before ascending to the Final and defeating Two and a Half Black Men, a team consisting of multi-time World Champions. Way to defy, or should I say DEFILE, logic, by becoming the inaugural Trios Champions and the 2015 Trios Tournament Winners! Congratulations go to both teams, and may they continue their winning ways under pressure!
Most Solid Wrestler goes to two guys, who know how to turn it on and perform when it counts the most. Natural ICE Beckman, while spending most of the quarter regaining the title, did so and then some, as he sports a winning record in big matches of the past six months. This also extends to Dune, who also found himself in several close matches, and managed to pull out the big victories when they mattered the most. Excellent work at maintaining the ability to win under pressure!!!
Roleplayer of the Half: Natural "ICE" Beckman
This category was spread out quite even overall. Surprisingly enough, only two members of the fed have even managed to get a nod more than once. Those nods went to Natural "ICE" Beckman, for 4 roleplays overall. Its no surprise, since he lost his title early on in the year, and was hell-bent on getting it back, and did just that. Dan Van Slade had three nods in a VERY short period of time, only to disappear after only two months or so in the WCF.
With rumors circulating that ICE may take some time off, and the possibility of DVS returning grows slimmer by the minute, this may be the chance for someone to snap off a few RP's and run away with this before these guys catch their breath! Good luck, because it takes a LOT to get noticed for RP of the Week! And for those who have been blessed with a nod (11 handlers were given a nod, each), good work, and continue said work!
Final Observations & Conclusions:
With some rumors floating around that ICE has taken some time off after Dune's big World Title win, this creates a power vacuum that needs to quickly be filled. Gonzo Murdock is the current Number 1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Title. But after a rough start to the year, can Gonzo recover from those stumbles that has most the WCF doubtful? Bobby Cairo may be a better challenger, considering his alignment. But is Bobby Cairo really ready to take on Dune, after facing such a daunting opponent in ICE for the last eight months? Is anybody else ready to step up?
Jonny Fly has also returned to the scene, and will probably want to establish himself once again in the World Title picture. However, this is not the WCF he entered back in 2012. Will Jonny Fly be able to continue his success? Many think he will be able to, but some do have doubts, after a virtually unknown team defeated his team, which also consisted of Steve Orbit and Corey Black. But another question lingers, as to who will Jonny Fly ally himself with during this duration? PANTHEON?
The US Title has some spark in it! Mikey eXtreme wins the title from Kaz Mazy, who demands a rematch! Occulo, who never got a rematch after losing the US Title, also demands a rematch! Meanwhile, Danny Anderson defeats Occulo, and in the process, earns himself a shot at the United States Title! With Occulo defeated by Danny, I could justify making Occulo earn another shot. Danny took yours away. Sorry! Meanwhile, Kaz never even had a successful defense of the title, and is lobbying for a rematch. Hmm... So where's all the controversy? Either way, the US Title is now getting the attention it should have had at the beginning of the year.
The Hardcore Title is no longer vacant, thanks to Marc Mayhem's defeat over Mod Deuce. With Deuce's departure, who is to step in front of Marc Mayhem first? So far, it looks like Torture is going to break out his tights and save them from the moth balls! But is it a legitimate return and challenge? Probably not, but who knows? There is a good opportunity for someone to come in here and make a ton of noise for the Division before Ultimate Showdown. Or will Marc Mayhem prove to be a tough champion, and represent the division once the time comes?
The Television Title has been a difficult piece of Gold to hold on to traditionally, but this year, only three, that's right, THREE wrestlers have held the title all year long. Joey Flash rang in the New Year a champion, and took that to March, where Grime relieved him of the title after 13 successful title defenses in a row! Grime managed to hold on to the strap for a month and some change, before Thomas Uriel Bates relieved him of the title. Thus far, Thomas has been able to retain through Trios, but will he be able to maintain his hold now that he has only one person coming after him with no partners? Many say that his reign will probably mirror Joey Flash's reign, except Howard Black, who's gunning HARD for that title.
The Internet is locked down with Alex Richards dominating any and all comers. This is shades of Jayson Price from last year, when you couldn't pry the belt off of him with a crowbar and a jackhammer. Ironically enough, about the only people considered able to dethrone him are potentially either Jayson Price (should he recover and return to action) or Zombie McMorris. And rumors are circulating that Zombie McMorris may be targeting Alex Richards in the near future, in an effort to secure his entry into Ultimate Showdown. Will Richards retain and head into Ultimate Showdown the Internet Champion? Either way, all three of these guys should probably be competing in another division. But the allure of Ultimate Showdown...
Scarecrow has the People's Title, albeit for how long? There have been plenty of votes that have come close, and all have ended in his favor. How long will the luck run? Is there anybody who has just enough to edge him out? Scarecrow should probably be aiming at other belts, as he's proven that he really can hang with the vast majority of the WCF. But here's where it gets precarious for him. Hold on to the People's Title until Ultimate Showdown? Or risk a bigger prize and walking away with nothing at all? Scarecrow may not get to ponder this for long, as he defends at least once more before going into the Ultimate Showdown.
With a decent number of wrestlers under the 225 pound weight limit, the Cruiserweight Title, currently held by a comatose Jayson Price, could be the ticket for yet another wrestler, albeit one a little lighter in the pants than most. But the question is, will this title buy someone admission into to the Ultimate Showdown? And for that matter, will the Trios Titles bring in the members of Defilers of Logic? Or whoever else may topple them between now and then?
Defilers of Logic did just that, and walked away with the Trios Championship gold! However, despite their convincing win, some have started to make noise about coming after the Defilers of Logic, with Imperium members already wanting a measure of redemption and revenge against the underdog team. The Defilers of Logic have stated that they fear nobody, and after this event, why should they? Perhaps if the Trios does indeed guarantee entry into the Ultimate Showdown, I wouldn't be surprised to see Imperium challenge the Defilers of Logic for those titles. The question now remains which three from Imperium will make the challenge?
Imperium could be just that team, considering that Bobby Cairo and Kaz Mazy, the current Tag Team Champs, are part of the same team. As mentioned before, there has been no teams in the WCF that have been able to topple the Tag Team Champions, to include the Chrono-Rippers, The Hot Dog Kings, and the Vapor Kings. Again, the question must be asked, is there a team out there that stands a chance at taking the belts off of the Poondock Saints: Team Imperium? The DRG and the Sentinels both think that its possible, especially after what transpired during Trios.
The roster is currently at 45 members, much larger than at the beginning of the year, when we were floating around 30 members. With constant expansion and with a few personnel moving off the active roster, who will be next to ascend into the title pictures of the WCF? Is it you! Or you? Maybe so! Either way, you have six months to make an impact bigger than the one you have now! And for you new guys, doesn't "now" sound better than "later"? Well, work hard enough, and you may be the next big shot on the Half-Year Report! But until then...
Everyone keep up the excellent work, and I'll see you inside of the ring!
