Last week, Thunder lost one of his three titles at the hands of the team of J.J. Biggs and Danny Vice, who go by the name of Disorder By Design. Now with one show left before Thunder and Skyler Striker have another opportunity to win the titles. But there are more teams to contend with this time.
The scene opens just inside the arena that holds the next edition of WCF Sunday Slam. WCF interviewer Hank Brown is standing at the door, microphone in hand.
Hank: As we all know, there is a huge match tonight on Slam. The main event has four tag teams competing to win the WCF Tag Team Titles. But of course, there are other huge matches as well. I plan to fulfill my job as backstage interviewer and will speak to the next wrestler who walks through this door about their match.
Hank stands in silence for a few moments. Then the sound of a car outside can be heard.
Hank: It sounds as though someone may be arriving at this moment.
Sure enough, someone has arrived. It is Thunder, the WCF People’s and Television Champion. He is wearing a suit and has a black gym bag flung over his shoulder. Through the open door, the limo that drove Thunder to the arena can be seen driving away. Hank attempts to interview Thunder.
Hank: Thunder, I was hoping I could just ask you a few questions about your match.
Thunder simply ignores him and walks down the hall as Hank speaks. Hank does not seemed fazed by this he continues to follow Thunder down the hall. Eventually, the obviously irritated Thunder turns around to Hank.
Thunder: Why in the hell are you following me little man?
Hank: Well, I just wanted to—
Hank is interrupted rather quickly by Thunder.
Thunder: Don’t you know I’ve got a huge match tonight? It’s a match for the WCF Tag Team Titles. Understand that?
Hank: Actually, I did want to talk to you about—
Once again, Hank is interrupted.
Thunder: Do you understand the significance of that? Or are you just stupid?
Hank opens his mouth to speak, but this time is stopped before he can even get a word out.
Thunder: Did I tell you to respond?
Hank: Well, you did ask a question.
Thunder: It’s called a rhetorical question you idiot.
Hank: Well, as I was saying before, I would really appreciate it if—
Thunder: I’ve had about enough of you, little man. I know what you want and I don’t have the time for it. You want an interview don’t you?
Hank: Actually, yes.
Thunder: Well you are not getting one. I’ve got bigger fish to fry than making a soundbite for some TV segment.
This time Hank speaks in a banner that is almost begging.
Hank: Please sir. I really need this.
Thunder rolls his eyes.
Thunder: Will you leave me alone if I do it?
Hank: Of course.
Thunder: Fine. Let’s get this over with. You get two questions.
Hank: Thank you very much. You don’t know how much—
Thunder: I don’t really care about that. Just ask the questions quickly before I change my mind.
Hank: Last week you and Skyler Striker lost the Tag Team Titles to Disorder By Design. What do you plan to do differently this week?
Thunder: I don’t need to change anything. You know why? Last week was a fluke victory, plain and simple. If I’ve said it once I’ve said it a thousand times. Danny Vice and JJ Biggs are as overrated as wrestlers can be. Danny is nothing but a whiny little emo kid who can’t handle a loss. He’s shown that by what he’s done to Skyler Striker in the past. Skyler will take him out tonight like he’s done so many times before. And then there’s “The Greatest” JJ Biggs. As I’ve said before, that nickname is the greatest use of hyperbole I’ve ever seen. JJ Biggs and Danny Vice are not what their cracked up to be. They got lucky last week, but it won’t happen again.
Hank: There are also two other teams in this week’s match. What factor will they play?
Thunder: Are you serious? The answer is none. Don’t get me wrong, the other wrestlers in this match are amazing competitors. But there is no way the teams can coexist. Everyone knows that. Reckless Jack and Seth Lerch are one team. Everyone knows these two hate each other as much as humanly possible. More than likely they will come to blows, but there is no way there will be any teamwork.
Jack of Blades and Logan may appear to amicable, but really, this match doesn’t matter to them. They are one week away from a World Title Match on WCF’s biggest show. Think they’re concerned about working together to win the Tag Team Titles? No way.
There are my answers to your two questions. I’m done with you now, little man.
Hank: Thank you very much for the interview, Thunder.
Thunder didn’t hear Hank at all. He walked away as soon as he was finished speaking. Hank then walks back towards the steel door.
Hank: Obviously, Thunder is confident that he and Skyler Striker will walk out of this week’s Slam as Tag Team Champions. Will they? Find out later tonight. This is Hank Brown signing off.
