The scene fades in on a very shaky picture. It seems that the current promo is being done on a handheld camera, and by the quality of picture it seems that camera is not the finest of today’s technology. In the picture is the backside of Danny Vice, running up a large cement driveway that is lined with two rows of beautiful redwood trees. Approximately 100 yards ahead, at the top of this inverted and winded driveway is a large rod-iron gate. The gate seems to open outward, with a single monogram of the letter “T” directly in the center. Just to the left of the gate is a single guard station with a man in a security uniform inside. He has already taken a step out of his station, his hand extended with his palm facing the running Vagrant, shouting something inaudibly at Danny as he approaches the gate. Danny turns and speaks to the camera…
Danny Vice: Jimmy, come on! The Vagrant must show the people who their illustrious champion truly is. Quickly before this ruffian attempts to stop our advancement.
Jimmy Vice: I…am…coming….Danny.
He shouts directly into the camera which he is holding, trying to keep up with his older brother. Danny gets to the gate before turning around and continuing his dialogue to the people.
Danny Vice: Today, your glorious and divine leader, The Vagrant, brings you to the forefront of enemy lines to reveal the deception brought to you by your so-called “People’s Champion”, Thunder.
Security Guard: This is private property sir. You may not film here.
Danny completely ignores the security guard, who sends in a security code into his two-way, most likely to report the disturbance at the front gate.
Danny Vice: Now this man claims he does not worry. That his heart is content and at peace.
The security guard walks up to Danny and places his hand upon his shoulder in an attempt to move him from the front of the mansion’s entrance.
Security Guard: If you will not move on your own I will be forced to use necessary force to remove you fr…
Mid-sentence Danny slaps the man’s hand off of his shoulder.
Danny Vice: The Vagrant suggests you do not interrupt his transmission. (again at the camera) Now…this man Thunder, you blindly follow as your champion without knowing his true nature and status. Of course a man who sits in…
Security Guard: That’s it!
The large rod-iron fence begins to open as two additional security golf carts drive up to the front of the property, each containing two guards. These four men seem larger in stature than both Danny and the original guard, as they all exit their golf carts.
Jimmy Vice: We’re just shooting a video for the WCF.
Security Guard: Yes, and Mr. Thunder has specifically said to not be disturbed by anyone.
Another Guard: And I’ve heard him talk about you WCF guys before. He says you’re nothing to sweat over. That most of you lack talent and all you are trying to do is make a name off of him.
Security Guard: Since he is the first man to ever hold three titles there at once.
Jimmy Vice: Ya, he is a great wrestler, there’s no doubt, but this is Danny Vice. The Vagrant!
The security guards look at each other blankly, seeming to not recognize the name Danny Vice. One even shrugs his shoulders and lets out a small chuckle.
Danny Vice (under his breath): Not this again…
Security Guard: Regardless, it’s time to get out of here…
The security guard reaches again for Danny but is instead met with a swift Outcast to the side of the head, knocking him out instantly. Jimmy places the camera on the ground and rushes to his brother’s side, but it turns on its side, showing a sideways picture of legs moving. The sounds seem to be of fists against bone and flesh, as two guards take a tumble to the ground. Seconds later one guard is slammed down by Jimmy, using his Edge of Night powerbomb, and a second hits the cement ferociously from Danny’s Rejection. Both brothers brush themselves off, as Jimmy walks over and grabs the camera to shoot Danny again, who looks relatively the same as before with the exception of a few beads of sweat forming on his forehead.
Danny Vice: As The Vagrant was saying. This man does not worry because he sits in a lavish and gaudy home. He is not of the people, yet you all blindly watch him. He is content and at peace because nothing in his life has ever been truly worthwhile. No troubles and struggles to overcome. Never been put to the absolute limit and forced to dig down and find out what sort of man he truly is. Well, this Sunday on Slam, The Vagrant will take him to the deepest and darkest place he has ever been. Force Thunder to reach deep into the pit of his shallow and insignificant existence. And when he gets down there, when the pain is pulsating, the blood has saturated his skin, he will find that he has nothing there but emptiness. The Vagrant will expose him for the true fraud that he is, and all of you worthless and meaningless fans will be there to watch. Now cut the camera, Jimmy and let’s leave these chumps.
Danny turns around and spits on the “T” in the center of the fence before the camera cuts out and the transmission turns to fuzzy “white snow”.
