We passed upon the stairs,
We spoke of was and when
Although I wasnt there
He said I was his friend
Which came as a surprise
I spoke into his eyes -- I thought you died alone
A long long time ago
Oh no, not me,
We never lost control,
Youre face to face,
With the man who sold the world
I laughed and shook his hand,
I made my way back home,
I searched for form and land,
Years and years I roamed,
I gazed a gazely stare,
We walked a million hills -- I must have died alone,
A long long time ago.
Who knows, not me,
I never lost control,
Youre face, to face,
With the man who sold the world.
Joe Smith: It's okay Logan, it was just luck. You know that.
The scene awakens inside Logan's house where he sits alone on his comfortable couch, Joe Smith sits on the couch across the room to the left. Logan's eyes are glued to the television.
Joe Smith: This isn't good for you.
Playing on the television is Logan in his earlier years of his prime, looking like a dominate force to be reckoned with in the ring. He's unstoppable on the television, young, full of energy, and faster than a mouse.
Joe Smith: Logan!
Logan removes his daze from the television for two seconds to give his attention to Joe.
Logan: What..?
Joe Smith: You're fighting Jack of Blades for the title in less than two weeks, get yourself together.
Logan: What else do you, or the Wrestling Championship Federation expect from me? Huh? I'm past my prime, let's face it, my time was long ago, and I just can't keep up with these guys anymore. A brand spanking new WCF superstar bested me last week, I may have been hit with a chair, but four years ago I ate chair shots for breakfast. Now, I just can't take the punishment I use too.. I also tire quicker. I can't keep giving WCF my best anymore, Joe, it's just eating years away from my life.
Logan looks back to the T.V. where it shows him standing victorious with the WCF title above his head, winning WCF's "War III" in 2002.
Joe Smith: Eh, that may be true.. but you've still got some fight left in you. I know you do, Logan. In two weeks show Jack of Blades, WCF, and everyone else that you've got one more world title run left. That the legacy of treachery is not completely dead.
Logan stares at Joe for a few seconds, his speech moving him a little.
Logan: Thanks, Joe.
Logan sighs.
Logan: I'll do my best.
The scene fades.
