I've been here four months now, and while I'm putting a lot more effort into my promos than when I started, I know there's still a lot of room for improvement. I figured I'd ask you fine people if you have any particular criticisms of Dune's promos or him as a character. Too lengthy? Too boring? Not enough humor? Too much this not enough that? etc etc... Obviously constructive criticism is preferred over lambasting, but whatever works.

Change nothing, you're one my favourites doing what you do.
Absolutely no need for comedy, would a man with Dune's history and personality be cracking jokes or in ridiculous 'comedy' scenarios? Fuck no.
Only thing I'd say is you could maybe knock off one scene per week or just reduce length by like 1500ish words, but if its needed to tell the story like it has been recently it ain't a problem!

I say get involved in the show more segment wise. All we know about dune is what happens in your rps. There's gotta be a whole level of character development in shows as well in my opinion. Dont change your rp style at all. Just keep growing and evolving as you go as you have been

Yeah my promos have been a bit lengthy of late. Kind of started after I faced ICE and he put out like 5k more than I had and whipped me. I'll try to keep it a bit more succinct...probably not going to be the case for the title match though. |

On a quick revisit to this and heading into our big week, Justin is a fuckin beast of a writer and creative force.
He's the man in this federation for a reason, has everything you could ask for in a writer and RPer, to tell a really great story between wrestlers in a competitive setting like this needs some talent a half. Anyone who ever gets the chance to work with Dune in any form, do it. The only guy barring Occulo to be 'on my wavelength' with things, if you find someone like that for a feud it's a god send. Anyway...

The level of storytelling and the overall depth over the span of 3 promos is a feat in itself. Keep it up, like you need me to tell you that shit.

Anyway... Future Hall of Famer. There's not really a criticism for Dune obviously. I do have one general tip to just continue on your skill and character and what not. I know for me, you guys are fucking awesome and I've been put in matches where I've gone "Okay what can I learn from facing this guy?" With guys like ZMAC or Flash, you two helped me so fucking much with shooting. While I still don't consider myself that great at shooting, you've helped. Guys like Howie or Crow helped me in general with how to be a better face. Of course others have provided lessons. That's my main tip, just look to take a lesson from whoever you face or collab with and it will make you that much better. |
