JJ Biggs, Jake Hudson, and Kyle Johnson are all standing in the wrestling ring which is in the center of, "Jake's Gym." It's around seven in the morning and the facility is currently closed, which explains why there are only those three individuals in the entire building. JJ Biggs, coming off of his victory against the Sick Individuals, finds himself in a pickle as Ace, his partner, wrestled his last match at School of Pain. He's seems to be in a good mood, however, as he's wearing a WCF T-shirt and a pair of blue jeans. Jake Hudson, wearing a red jogging suit, is standing next to Kyle Johnson.
JJ Biggs: You need a name.
Kyle Johnson: What do you mean?
JJ Biggs: If you want to become a wrestler, you're going to need a name.
Kyle Johnson: Why can't I keep my real name? You did.
JJ Biggs: My real name has a, I don't know, it just has a wrestling type of feeling, you know? Kyle Johnson; that's just too dull. You need something that's going to get noticed, something that you can go by from the beginning of your career until the end of it.
Kyle Johnson: Do you have any ideas?
JJ Biggs: Nope. Do you have an idea, Jake?
Jake Hudson: How about Vendetta? I've always thought it was a good name for a wrestler.
JJ Biggs: Vendetta...I like it. Kyle, when you become a contracted wrestler, you're going to go by that name.
Kyle Johnson: All right. Does that mean that I can become your tag partner?
JJ Biggs: Why do you keep asking me that?
Kyle Johnson: Because you still need a partner and I want to become a wrestler. I've been training in this place for the past two months and I feel that I've developed nicely. Besides, you and Jake have both said that I have potential.
Jake Hudson: We did, yes, but potential doesn't mean you're going to immediately step into a wrestling ring and kick some ass. You may feel good, look good, and all of that shit but when you step into the wrestling ring, when all of the eyes in the building are on you, I have a feeling you'll choke and cost JJ Biggs the match and that would cost you two the tag titles.
Kyle Johnson: I know I can do it. Why can't I just get the opportunity?
JJ Biggs: I'll think about it, all right?
Kyle Johnson: Fine.
Jake Hudson: JJ and I are going to go to my office and take care of a few things. Just stay here and do some push-ups or something.
Kyle, without saying anything back, drops down to his chest and begins to do the push-ups. Jake Hudson and JJ Biggs exit the wrestling ring and they make their way to Jake's office. Once inside, Jake takes a seat behind his desk and JJ takes a seat in front of it.
Jake Hudson: Are you going to let the kid be your partner? I feel that it may be too early.
JJ Biggs: I don't know what I'm going to do, Jake. I could let the kid be my partner, see if he can do anything, or I could choose a partner from Team of Treachery.
Jake Hudson: Yeah. Either way, you need to focus on your match this week, JJ. I know you want to find a partner and all, but this week you have a partner. You and Logan are going to be taking on Reckless Jack and Outcast.
JJ Biggs: I know, I know. Outcast and Reckless Jack are former WCF World Champions, but as am I and Logan. I've managed to defeat Reckless Jack in all but one of our encounters and Bobby Cairo defeated Outcast, which means I have the ability to defeat him, as well, since I defeated Cairo for the WCF World Title in the first place.
Jake Hudson: That doesn't mean anything, JJ. Nothing, and I mean nothing that has happened in the past has any meaning once that bell rings at Slam. Sure, you've beaten Reckless Jack before, but anything can happen in that ring. Hell, you two could face each other ten more times before you retire and he could win all of them. Same with Outcast, how can you say you have the ability to beat him? Maybe when Cairo defeated him, he didn't have his "A" game. Maybe Outcast is going to use this match in an attempt to bounce back to the top of the company. Wrestling is unpredictable, so you don't need to waste your time trying to predict it.
JJ Biggs: Good call. I've been training an awful lot these past couple of days preparing for this match. You honestly think I don't know it's going to be a challenge? I'm well aware. However, I'm one of the top competitors in this company. Hell, might as well say the entire industry. I've proven I can beat the best and the worst. Reckless Jack, no matter what kind of inspirational shit you throw at me Jake, he's still one of the worst competitors to ever grace the squared-circle. He is a former WCF Champion, is that supposed to make him good? Absolutely not. I mean, geez, Chino almost became Champ at School of Pain. What does that tell you?
Jake Hudson: Indeed. What about Outcast?
JJ Biggs: I feel that I can take care of him myself. But, I don't need to carry this match. I have a respectable partner in my corner. Logan can carry more than his own weight which is why him and I are going to come out victorious.
Jake Hudson: Yep. I wonder how many Kyle has done so far?
JJ Biggs and Jake Hudson are both looking out of Jake's office window at Kyle Johnson, who's still doing push-ups in the center of the wrestling ring. Jake shakes his head as he looks back over at Biggs.
Jake Hudson: He really wants to be your partner.
JJ Biggs: I know...
