Flashing red and blue lights flood the night sky as WFFA Channel 8 News reporter David Robertson stands in front of the camera with microphone in hand. Several Dallas Police, Paramedics, and Fire Fighters can be seen in the background.
David Robertson: Breaking news from Leonard Street, Dallas near Hotel Zaza. Three men attempted to mug a highly successful businessman as he went for a stroll around the hotel. The man they attempted to mug? President and CEO of Golanv Enterprises; Alexander James. Some of our viewers may remember Alexander James as former professional wrestler who went by the ring name “The Crow” Eric Draven.
In addition to a professional wrestling career, Alexander James is a former US Army Green Beret and world renowned martial artist. Here to tell us what he saw, local taxi driver Rahul Tambe.
A middle aged Hindu Indian man steps into view of the camera as David Robertson holds the microphone up to him. He speaks with a thick Indian accent.
Rahul Tambe: Bad men came up and talked to him for a moment, then attacked. The rich man, he move like lightning. It was amazing! Like watching movie. All three bad men...
Rahul slaps his hands.
Rahul Tambe: Out like that. I never seen such things.
David Robertson takes back the microphone and the camera focuses back to him.
David Robertson: Two of the would be attackers are on their way to the hospital with what appears to be broken bones. The third attacker fled and is suspected to be injured as well. Police are on the look out for the man, described as roughly six feet tall, average build, and no hair.
Alexander James was in town to attend the upcoming professional wrestling event, WCF Timebomb, at the American Airlines Center on Sunday, February 22nd. His nephew, Thomas Bates, is scheduled for a match facing off against Gemini Battle and Mr. Amazing. If he’s anything like his uncle, this reporter has little doubt as to the winner of that match. Amy, back to you.
The scene is instantly replaced to a young black woman sitting behind a desk at the WFFA Newsroom.
Amy: Thank you Dave. As mentioned, the Wrestling Championship Federation will be coming to the American Airlines Center in Dallas for their upcoming pay-per-view, Timebomb, this Sunday. WFFA will be sending a crew to report on the event, and will also attempt to get an update on this incident. This has been Amy Cohen with WFFA Channel 8 News, goodnight.
