Lets start this with an address on my current status with WCF, it was with long thought and deliberation that I took my desire for some time off from the ring to the WCF board, I have been granted that time to ask some questions of myself that need answering. Part of the deal that was struck allowing me to do this was that I stayed active in a minor capacity in the company due to my ability to stir up shit on things like social media. So I decided that I would bring the radio show back and see how it goes, the comments section will stay inactive but you can hit me up on Twitter with any comments on the show, thanks
I am going to start tonight with something I feel is relevant to where we are in places like America and the UK right now, what is happening in Ferguson is 2 parts tragedy one part pandemonium for the sake of it and unfortunately these things don't do anything to bring about change. I haven't talked about this much because really the whole thing was a pile of stupidity with a very VERY light scattering of good intentions, in 2011 I was working the independent scene in London England, the shows were great and lots of fun but during my time there, the day before I was due to leave to be exact and fly home to Ireland I think it was in August a police shooting sparked protests in the streets from the people, you start to see where I'm going with this? The whole thing started as a great movement and frankly I was happy enough to be inconvenienced for a couple of extra days with my special friend I had in London at that time. But by the end of day 2 it became apparent that all the protests where was a spark to set off a crime wave that had been waiting since the missed opportunity that was the Student riots a year before. See scumbags will take any opportunity to do damage, the student riots they took to the streets with the real protestors simple to cause insanity, in the mass riots in 2011 they decided they were going to take whatever the fuck they wanted and that would be the end of it. I remember watching this one video where 2 huge guys help someone down and injured up, he thanks them and they act all for the cause buddy buddy but while one is looking him over the other guy is going through his backpack stealing his stuff and wallet they then walk away with him just standing there bleeding and alone. Now right now the Ferguson situation is still on the side of what's right as far as I can see but as it continues the reports of looting grow and in the end that will be what Ferguson may be remembered for if the people aren't careful. If they want to bring about change they need to reign in their more volatile protesters, a protest is not about personal gain, a protest is not about the chaos or the gratuitous violence, a protest is about forcing things to get done, Ukraine at the start before outsiders took advantage of it would of been a grand victory for the people. The violence was massive but at the same time the people where only there for the people, that is what ferguson needs to be or it will end up being another London and the protestors of the world really don't need that, the song I am about to play I have added the video into the description below, it's one of the best representations of what happened in 2011
