Jayson Price recently spoke with the Philadelphia Inquirer to promote this weekend's WCF Slam live from Sydney, Australia. Here are a few of the highlights:
On WCF's current International Tour:
"It's never a bad thing when you get to travel the globe and perform in front of crowds. And that's just the crazy, drunken sex in public places. Don't get me started on wrestling in front of foreign crowds."
On walking out on Steve Orbit at Slam:
"It was nothing more than me giving Steve what he wanted. Apparently he was a bit pissed about what happened the previous week when I tagged myself in and got the pin. He thought I was trying to steal the spotlight from what had been a great match when I was merely trying to help. So last week when I saw him getting pissed off all over again, I decided to let him have the spotlight all to himself and let him finish things on his own. And just like I knew he would, he won the match and kept our winning streak going."
On the Tag Team Title Match this Sunday:
"Now that I let Steve get his chance to shine, I see he and I once again being on the same page and taking the fight right at Team Science. We're going to leave Sydney with the title belts and then some time down the road Steve and I are going to put on a five star classic with Corey Black and Jonny Fly."
On the World Title match at Blast:
"The last time I faced a World Champion in Tokyo, Japan, I dropped Jonny Fly with a Pricebuster onto a sink. At Blast, the rules might be different but the result is going to be the same."
On Pantheon's success:
"So often you see stables start up and then collapse, but Pantheon is a whole different type of group. We don't have an agenda, we're not trying to bring down the Authority or take over the company, we're just five guys that are great friends. The fact that we're five of the most talented and established wrestlers in WCF history just makes us a lightning rod for criticism from everyone else. As for our success, anyone who doubted that we'd be as successful as we are, both individually and as a group, was blinded by their own shortcomings."
On his ONE dream match:
"Jayson Price versus Bobby Cairo in a sixty minute Iron Man Match. He may be a dirty old fuck that I've lost a bit of respect for, but Cairo is still one of the greatest to ever lace up a pair of boots in WCF. He and I could tear down the fucking house for an hour straight and the crowd would orgasm when it ended."
On who he sees as being the next big name in WCF:
"I don't know how long it's going to take him, but Remus Micayle is going to be gunning for the World Title at some point. Granted, I've said the same thing about guys in the past, like John Gable and Morientes for example, and it never happened, but Micayle will get there."
On Shannan Lerch and his current love life:
"I haven't heard from Shannan since the last time we saw her in WCF. I still don't understand why she hasn't been brought back yet, she's 10 times better at announcing than Zach Davis or Erin Robbins. Don't think I want her back because I want to rekindle our relationship though. I learned my lesson about dating women that work in this business and I'm not making that mistake twice. Wrestling bitches are fucking crazy."
