He finally did it.
Mike Ragnal finally won the Television Championship in WCF. And now, he couldn't be any happier.
In all actuality, though, he has yet to even wear the belt around his waist. But as his siblings saw the belt around Sasha's waist with awe in their expressions, he at least knew it was somewhere saf and protective.
As both Joe and Linda looked at the belt in their back room, Linda was the first to say something.
"Wow...that's nice looking."
"Thanks, Lin," Sasha replied. "I can't believe that it's happening...but we're finally getting married."
"Yeah, damn, that's just...damn." Were the only words Joe could find to describe this right now.
"Easy, Joe, ya don't want those brain cells working to hard." Mike joked.
As Joe flipped Mike the finger, Linda asked the engaged couple, "So...when's the wedding?
Mike and Sasha just turned to one another, as if they were trying to ask one another telepathically. Soon, Mike wrapped his arm around the Aussie girl, as she nuzzled her head into his neck.
"To be honest..." He said, "We haven't picked out a date yet."
"Dude, seriously?" Asked Joe.
"Well, yeah, I mean...it's not like we can just up and marry in a few weeks, right?"
Joe looked up in the ceiling, possibly remembering the last five or so episodes from the last season of Scrubs where Elliot tried to plan her wedding with Keith in two months, while Linda looked out the corner of her eyes, imagining how jealous she is that her younger brother is getting married before her.
"Well, not like you HAVE to..." Joe said, finally out of his daze. "But...you may wanna schedule it soon. After all, while that might be an engagement ring for you and Sasha here, it's still a wrestling championship belt."
"Joe's right...for once..." Linda said, finding that whole bit to be just weird. "So the best you can do is either hold the wedding before your next Television title match, or keep defending until you lose the title, THEN have the wedding."
Mike and Sasha looked down at the ground, thinking which idea would be best to do.
"Well...we'll think about it." Said the TV champion.
"Alright, cool." Linda said, shrugging her shoulders. "Meanwhile, Sasha, why don't we head downtown? There's a bridal shower going on."
"A weird coincidence, but I don't see why not." Sasha said, giggling as she got up the couch. She turned back to Mike and they both smooch on the cheek, and then Sasha and Linda head out of the room. Mike, watching his fiancee leave, smiled, as Joe moved next to him, as if for help or...something.
"So hey, bro," he said, "You know how you're apart of that Index Three, right?"
"Yeah."
"And you
re with Skyler Striker in that team, right?"
"Yeah."
"Well, you know how I've got that match against him over in GWC, right?"
"Dude, for that LAST time, I'm not going to give you any strategies on how to win against Striker."
"DAMMIT!"
Mike chuckled as he shook his head in an "You'll never get it, will you?" sort of way as he turned the TV on for something to watch.
And all the time, he could only think of himself as the luckiest man on earth.
