The fresh winds of the WCF Classic have opened up a world of possibilities. Change is in the air, progress is tantamount to a rising tide in an eastern village. Some of us will be pulled under, only the elite specimens among us shall survive. Bobby Cairo has seen it all before, been there, done that, in one ear and out the other. Cairo fancies himself a man of valor and virtue. Along with his friends Bolts Quackenbush, Biohazard and Nick Katsopolis, Cairo has been travelling the country spreading his message of principled conservative leadership. Cairo is not running for office and he's not running from anything. Cairo was there on the 18th of March, 2007. He competed in the War match and outlasted 20 other superstars. The only man that Cairo couldn't beat was his opponent in the first round of the WCF Classic, Skyler Striker. While Cairo has expanded his horizons into the world of social and political activism, he's never forgotten that night. Cairo was so close to earning the automatic WCF World Title shot. He came within an eyelash of winning the most grueling match in all of professional wrestling. Cairo was denied of achieving his goal, but he did not relent.
Cairo went onto capture the WCF Television Title and eventually earned his long-awaited World Title shot. Once again Cairo would be matched up against his nemesis Skyler Striker. Once again Cairo would fall short of his goal. Cairo was so desperate for another title shot that he resorted to kidnapping Striker's daughter in hopes of extorting a rematch. However, Cairo's efforts would be sidelined after dropping the Television Title to another longtime rival and Striker ally, Mike Ragnal. Cairo believed his failures to be a conspiracy of fate, though in the following months he would accept that he was not mentally prepared to become World Champion. After some soul-searching Cairo realized that his purpose in life was greater than anything to be accomplished inside of a wrestling ring. Cairo knew that he could use his power and influence to affect positive change in the world. This is why Cairo formed The Sound Of Crickets, or T.S.O.C. for short. The name was taken as a tribute to Buddy Holly, but the goal would encompass far more.
Everywhere Cairo looked he saw corruption. Politicians working for special interests, wrestling bookers giving favors to their buddies, socialist schoolteachers poisoning the minds of America's youth. All the while America's working class was being marginalized by corporate interests. Make no mistake, Cairo is an international business mogul, but he has never supported unfair business or trade practices. Cairo has been outspoken in his criticism of everyone from President Bush and Pope Benedict XVI to Al Sharpton and even GWC owner Danny Vice. Previously, Cairo only cared about regaining the WCF World Title, regardless of the costs. A far more enlightened Cairo has re-dedicated his life to the preservation of traditional American values and the defense of liberty and justice for all peoples.
Some have suggested that Cairo will or should run for the presidency of the United States. Cairo has rebuffed those arguments with a very basic platform. Cairo believes that "We, the people" can enact far greater change than any politician. As such Cairo has been working at a community level to improve the living conditions in low income neighborhoods. Cairo considers this not only his civic duty, but his responsibility as a citizen of the United States. If a country is to be judged by how it treats its worst-off citizens, then Cairo believes that we can all lend a helping hand. Sure contributing money is important, but contributing time and a little bit of elbow grease is every bit as important. Cairo's T.S.O.C. has worked towards achieving these goals and has encouraged others to join them. T.S.O.C. has gained thousands of supporters around the world. Many of those supporters have expressed their allegiance with mass demonstrations against corrupt government interests.
All of these facts beg the question; if Cairo has such a full plate with his crusade to save the world then why would he return to WCF? The fact is that Cairo has a hunger for competition and a passion for the sport that simply cannot be quashed. Cairo has reprioritized his life, but that doesn't mean that his love of wrestling and desire to be World Champion has gone away. Cairo's dear friend and fellow T.S.O.C. member Biohazard has also entered the WCF Classic. The possibility of facing his friend certainly amuses Cairo, though he is not looking past the challenge in front of him. Cairo knows that Skyler Striker is the toughest opponent that he has ever faced inside the ring. Regardless of the outcome of this hard-fought match, Cairo knows that a much more dangerous opponent looms on the horizon. It goes by many names. Among its various aliases are "apathy", "hate" and "greed". Though Cairo is passionate in his pursuit to win the WCF Classic, a greater fire burns inside of him. Cairo encourages all of us to remember those less fortunate this holiday season. And while you're remembering, maybe you can lend a helping hand, the once nefarious Cairo will be.
