Act 1: Victory

“Thus it is that in war the victorious strategist only seeks battle after the victory has been won, whereas he who is destined to defeat first fights and afterwards looks for victory.”
Sun Tzu
The scene opens on the beautiful city of Dallas. The sun was starting to come up casting it's warm glow over the city below. The city was starting to come to life once again. People started to move about, heading out to their jobs or coming home from a late night shift, while others went out for their morning jogs, or headed to the airport to catch an early morning flight, or to greet others that were coming home. American flags flew high above the city on the some of the high rises around the city, while others flew outside the hotels, and hospitals. The camera soon focuses on the Omni Hotel downtown Dallas. The lights were still out in most rooms, while others had their drapes open welcoming the bright light of the sun into their rooms, while others still had their drapes closed keeping the sun out at least for a little while longer. A room toward the top with a balcony had the drapes opened a crack, and the sun streamed through just enough casting a gentle light inside. We soon see two figures lying in a king sized bed. Bottles of wine, beer, and champagne sat on the dinning table of the suite, along with what was left of a feast from the night before. A celebration had been occurred the night before and now the room was quiet.
The camera soon focuses on the two that were now sound asleep and we see that it was Night Rider and Denise. Denise's hair framed her beautiful face that still had a few scars from the night before. They would fade before to long and would be back to her normal self, and Night Rider had his arm around her, and was still bandaged from the bruises he had gotten the night before. The Tag Titles hung over the back of two of the chairs, glistening in the little bit of light that was streaming through the window. It had been a hard match, but they had endured, and managed to walk away with what was rightful theirs. The little black kitten was curled up at the end of the bed, purring gently even in it's sleep. Denise's eyes start to flutter and she opens them looking over at the man that she would soon call her husband and smiles softly. She gently kisses him and sits up, wrapping the sheet around her built tanned body. She gets to her feet, with the sheet still wrapped around her showing off her more noticeable features, and pets the kitten at the end of the bed, causing it to wake up. It looks up at her with it's emerald eyes almost glowing in the darkness around them. Little Shadow stands and stretches before Denise picks her up, and opens the shades slowly letting the sun pour into the room. The sun gleams off of the titles and she couldn't help but smile. They had done it. They did what they had set out to do. The titles were now safe in their hands, and they would stay there as long as possible.
Denise: It still seems like it was all a dream.
Voice: It's not... We got them.
Denise turns around and smiles seeing that Night Rider was awake. She moves back to the bed, and sits beside him, with the kitten still in hand, while holding the sheet around her with the other.
Denise: Did I wake you?
Night Rider: No. I've been awake for a while. God you look beautiful.
Denise: No I don't. I'm surprised that after last night I'm not one giant bruise.
Night Rider: You're not, and you always look beautiful to me, no matter what.
Denise: You're to good to me.
Night Rider puts a hand to her face, and smiles. The two of them had found each other in the most unlikely of places, but it was like they were meant to be. In the years that Denise had been alive, and the all of the lovers that she had had, he was the only one besides Jason that truly understood her.
Night Rider: I try to be. That was one hell of a party we threw last night huh?
Denise looks around the room, and smiles and nods, as the kitten hops from Denise's lap, and lays beside her.
Denise: I'd say, but what happened after that was a lot more fun.
Night Rider: I have to agree with you there. So what's on the schedule for today?
Denise: We have to fly out to Colorado today.
Night Rider: Do we have to? I mean we could just stay here, and sleep the day away and head out tomorrow instead...
Denise: You know that we can't. Besides I have a surprise for you when we get there.
Night Rider looks at her, and smiles kissing her gently.
Night Rider: Really? What?
Denise: If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise would it?
Night Rider: No, but at least I would know right?
Denise laughs as she gets up from the bed, and starts opening a large suitcase and pulls out what appears to be a pair of black leather pants, and a deep red and black sheer top. She heads into the bathroom as the sound of water is soon heard starting, and the mist starts to roll out. Night Rider gets out of the bed, and gets to his feet, and gets dressed. He walks into the bathroom through the heavy steam, and makes out Denise behind the frosted glass of the shower door.
Night Rider: I'm going to go out for a bit. I'll be back soon.
Denise: Ok... Be careful.
Night Rider walks out of the bathroom and heads out the door of the suite, leaving Denise alone once again. The hot water fell over her tanned body, and her long hair was slick, falling down her back, and her bright blue eyes were closed in relaxation. The water felt good on her body that had been pushed to the limit the night before. Her muscles were no longer screaming from the pain, and had finally started to relax.
Denise: *Voice Over* Last night was a challenge but we prevailed just like everyone said we would. The other three teams fought until the end, but we were the ones that walked away with another win and the Tag Titles in our hands. This week we face SPAC but they are nothing that we can't handle. Waylon you were once a champion in your own right, but what have you done since? If you have done something then it couldn't have been that important could it? But what really gets me is why come after us? What have we done to you? Don't tell me your still upset from the first time that we met are you? Of course you are. Waylon do you really trust those around you? Can you tell me what do all of you work toward? Maybe you can unlike the others that we have faced over the last few weeks. Most of them have been thrown together and don't trust each other as far as they can throw each other. But that doesn't matter because Night Rider and I are one. The only problem we have is... Oblivion. But he'll see the truth in time.
Denise puts her hands against the warm marble wall of the shower letting the warm water fall over her as the steam rises high above her, and drifts out of the bathroom. The water soon stops, and Denise steps out. Water dripped over her well toned and tanned body as she stands in front of the large vanity mirror, that was now covered in steam. She wipes it down, and sighs, seeing that the bruises had already started to fade from her face, along with the rest of her body. She bends over and her long hair falls into her face, only to be wrapped in the big white fuzzy towel to dry.
Denise: *Voice Over* Waylon tell me how far will you go to win this match? Will you sacrifice one of them to the Shadows? Or will you do everything that you can to stop us? So far we've been unstoppable and this week won't be any different. I know you're thinking that you're not afraid of us but I know that deep down that you shake and quiver every time that you see us, knowing what we can do to those that stand in our way. We will not stop until we get what we want... No matter what it takes. The face of the WCF is changing, and we are the reason for it. Anyone that stands in the way of change either gets left behind or they start believing in it... Tell me Waylon what will your choice be?
Denise wraps another towel around her body and heads out into the room, and starts to get dressed. The black leather pants cling to her legs, showing off her ass, but she didn't care. They weren't for show. The low cut top grazed over her ample breasts as she pulls it down, after she tossed the towel onto the bed. She sits at the vanity and applies a little bit of makeup as she hears the door open. She turns and there stood Night Rider with a dozen white roses, and a box of chocolates.
Denise: What's all this?
Night Rider: Just a little bit of something for you.
Denise: You didn't have to do that.
Night Rider: I know, but I wanted to.
Denise smiles and gets to her feet, and kisses him gently setting the roses and chocolates on the table, as the kitten moves around her feet. Denise picks her up, and sets her on one of the chairs at the table.
Denise: Let me finish getting ready and we'll go downstairs and get something to eat.
Night Rider: Sounds good.
Denise finishes applying her makeup, and soon slips on a pair of thigh high boots, and her long trench coat before they head out of the room, heading for the elevator. Her high heeled boots click on the marble floor as they walk and Night Rider couldn't help but smile as he looked at her. She was perfect in every sense of the word. She had beauty, she could fight, and could feel the love they shared every time that he looked at her. Denise looks over and smiles back.
Denise: What?
Night Rider: Nothing. Have I told you how much I love you yet today?
Denise: Not yet...
Night Rider: I love you Denise.
Denise: I love you too.
The two of them kiss in the middle of the hallway, as the elevator door opens at the end of the hallway. One of the maids looks at them and shakes her head, as she starts opening doors and applying her trade. They break the kiss and continue down the hallway. Night Rider presses the button and the doors slide open and they step inside. Denise presses the button for the lobby, and the doors slowly close behind them, and starts to go down.
Denise: *Voice Over* Chelsea, you and I are the only two women in this whole match, but that doesn't matter. Both of us have proven ourselves time and time again in the middle of that ring, and this time won't be any different will it? I've never had the chance to face you, but there is always a first time for everything isn't there? This match is going to be one for the ages. SPAC and The Shadows of Darkness will face off just to see who truly is the better group in the WCF if nothing else. Nothing is truly at stake here, and we both know it, but yet you are still willing to fight against us. But at what cost Chelsea? The last few tag teams that Night Rider and I have met up have found out that we are not an easy target like all of you think. We are willing to go as far as we need to just to win this match over you, and show the rest of the locker room and the world why we should be feared. We are not the joke like all of you think. We are not playing games any more and are willing to go as far as we have to win this match.
The two of them lean against the back wall of the car, watching the numbers go down, until they reach the lobby. The doors soon open and they step out into the lobby, and start heading for the front door. A few people notice them and take pictures as they pass by. They head out into the early morning, feeling the cool morning air around them, as they walk along.
Denise: You know we really have to pick a date...
Night Rider: I know, but do you really want to have a big wedding?
Denise: Not really. My family has been dead for centuries, and I really don't have one, except for Sam, Marqius, and Nick.
Night Rider: Who's Nick?
Denise: He's the only mortal besides Marquis that knows what I am.
Night Rider: I know too remember?
Denise smiles and wraps her arm around Night Rider's arm as they continue to walk.
Denise: I know. Besides you, they are the only two. Nick found out by accident. I crashed my bike around a tree, and well... They thought I was dead. They took me to the morgue and I woke up in a body bag.
Night Rider: Damn.
Denise: Yeah, it was a nice bike too.
The two of them continue to walk along passing by shops that were still closed at least for a few more hours.
Denise: *Voice Over* Chelsea I can't wait for this match. It's not because I want to fight it's the fact that I want to beat the holy hell out of all of you. This is not going to be a pleasant match, but one that will be filled with broken bones, blood sweat and tears by the time everything is said and done. I'm not going to hold back on any of you, because I know none of you will hold back on us. We all want that win and will do anything to get it won't we Chelsea?
Denise smiles to herself, as the two of them stop in front of a cafe that was busy already this morning. The smell that came from it was heavenly and drifted on the air around them.
Denise: That smells so good.
Night Rider: C'mon. Let's go inside.
Denise: All right.
They walk inside and and they stand in line behind the usual college students, and business people heading off for their morning jobs.
Denise: *Voice Over* Benny, you are the one that I have seen around her more than anyone else... Tell me what do you really want from all of this or rather out of this match? Do you want to show us that SPAC is superior to everyone else or do you just want to give the fans a show? Of course you it doesn't matter what you are trying to prove because it's going to end when you step into the ring with us. Over the last few weeks both of have managed to win our matches, but we are now the new Tag Team Champions. I know you've had them along with a few other titles since you've been here, but you haven't had any in a while have you Benny?
The young woman behind the counter smiles as Denise and Night Rider put their order in. Denise points to one of the small cakes in the glass in front of her. The two of them get their orders and sit down at the outdoor cafe.
Night Rider: Are you ready for our match this week?
Denise: I think so. I mean after the match that we had last night I think we can handle this. I'm just not sure where the Monster stands just yet.
Night Rider: None of us do. Vengeance has been grilling him for the last few days and still nothing.
Denise: I'm sure it won't be long. You know that he has problems, but I'm sure that by the time we break him he'll be willing to listen.
Night Rider: Hopefully it won't interfere with our match this week.
Denise: Well make sure that he doesn't.
The two of them finish their breakfast and head out into the morning once again. The air was starting to warm up, and the sun was starting to rise higher in the sky as they headed back to the hotel.
Denise: *Voice Over* Benny tell me what was the last real important thing that you did? I mean I don't remember hearing of anything that you've done lately to make me want to remember you or anything that you've done. This Sunday when you step into the middle of that ring, tell me what will you do to stop us? How far will you go to prove that you're not some washed up old fool that is just trying to keep up with the younger generations?
Denise smiles to herself as they reach the hotel and head back inside. The two of them head back to the elevator and Denise presses the button, and leans against the wall.
Denise: *Voice Over* Sunday night we will face off against SPAC and I have to say that I'm not impressed by any of you. I know what you're going to say and I have to say that I really don't care what you think or what you think you're going to be able to do to stop us. When all is said done you will be in the middle of the ring, broken, beaten, bruised, and bloodied. Night Rider, Oblivion and myself are not going to play games this week. We want this win more than anything and we will do whatever it takes to get it. Bring everything that you have into the middle of that ring and see if you can stop us. I just hope you're ready for the beating you will receive. The Death Bringer comes and she comes for thee. See you soon. Oh and good luck this week... You're going to need it.
Denise just smirks as the doors open, and they step inside. The doors close behind them and the numbers start going up as the scene fades to black.
The camera soon focuses on the two that were now sound asleep and we see that it was Night Rider and Denise. Denise's hair framed her beautiful face that still had a few scars from the night before.
