On Camera
The scene opens on the backstage area of the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee, Red and myself have just arrived at the arena dressed in my usual gear jeans, black military spec boots, a black hoodie underneath a black Harley-Davidson Men's Evolution Waterproof Leather Jacket with my Saints of Anarchy cut over the top, but with the weather outside I also have on a black scarf and a black beanie hat. Red is dressed in her usual attire which consists of a pair of tight black and leather trousers, black leather knee high boots, a red and black leather jacket with her short red cloak over the top with the hood up and a red leather half mask masking her identity. We're making our way through the backstage area heading for my locker room when we get stopped by a middle aged man dressed in a cheap suit carrying a microphone in his hand and he has a WCF camera crew in tow.
Interviewer: Mister Michaels can we get a few words from you?
I can't help but smirk.
Chase: The last time I was called Mister Michaels was when I was in front of a judge back in California. You can call me Chase.
Interviewer: Okay Chase can I get a few words from you in regards to your match this week and also some of the backstage going ons in WCF?
Chase: Sure.
Interviewer: So Chase this week you're taking on Johnny Deep in a singles match live on Slam...
Chase: Ah you mean the male stripper slash male porno actor?
Saint: Yes, last week he had an important and impressive win over Roach, Arin Hanson and Corvo Attano...
Chase: That he did... But you see the difference between that match and his match this week is me... You see it's no secret that I haven't had run here in WCF, I mean I've lost more matches than I won... There's no way to sugar coat that, I've been told by people to keep my head up cause the one of positives is that I've been competitive in those matches, I haven't had bad matches cause well I don't ever have bad matches, its just my opponents have had better matches... But to me that's like getting a medal for coming last... Last week at Payback pay per view I lost to Sarah Twilight and her pet bitch Lilith... Most people would say that was due to fact that I was teamed with a man I didn't like or trust Seifer Black... But you see I'm not most people I lost, that is all that really matters... Sure we both had a good showing but we failed to be victorious... But you see Seifer and myself weren't the only ones to fail in that match, cause going into it Twilight's pet bitch said on twitter that she was going to destroy the NWA trash and then said that she was going to leave us bloodied but yet after that match I brushed myself off and walked myself to the back... I wasn't helped to the back by officials or stretchered off to awaiting ambulance... So the way I see it Twilight's pet bitch was full of hot air... You see what Lilith and even the mighty queen of WCF Sarah Twilight failed to realise is that I'm hard man to keep down and even harder to kill or destroy... Many people have tried and all have failed... I've been beaten down by the best but every time I got back to my feet... And unlike some here in WCF I didn't cry and bitch about it... Blah Blah Blah He stabbed me... Whine Whine Whine... I beat him down with a chair... Blah Whine

I shake my head in disappointment.
Chase: But that's enough about Calibitch... This week I'm facing Johnny Deep... A man that is pretty confident he's going to beat me this week... But what he fails to realise is that I'm not Roach, nor am I Arin Hanson or Corvo Attano... I'm Chase Michaels, The Lone Wolf... The man that is going to walk out of Slam with a win... Why... Cause I suck up to management... Nope... Because I'm some veteran's bitch... Nope... Because I'm a self absorbed prick with a Superiority Complex that thinks just because I'm in the main event that I'm better than everyone... Nope...
I look at Red.
Chase: Okay there is a argument that I'm a self absorbed prick but that depends who you ask... You see everything I have... From my time in WWA, my time in NWA... Even my time in WCF... Everything I have I've earned... I haven't come in running my mouth to get put into Main Events... I haven't sucked up to anyone... Why cause quite simply it isn't me... Everything I have I've earned... The good and also the bad... I've earned it by busting my arse in the middle of that ring... Whether I was in the opening match or in the mid card or even in the main event... It doesn't matter to me cause I go out to that ring and bust my arse... People have often complained that to me that I see wrestling as just a job... A way to earn a few bucks... Sure that's true... Anyone that says there in this business for the fans or because the live and breath professional wrestling... Is full of bullshit... If they're in it for the fans or for the love of sport slash business... Why is it they still collect a pay check.. If they were really in it for the fans or for the passion they have for the business surely they wouldn't need to get paid to wrestle... They wouldn't need to be paid to appear on some radio show or at some press event... They might say they did as they have to earn a wage to pay their bills... Well then why come out with all that bullshit... Just admit it as much as you love this business and as much as you love the fans, you wrestle to pay the bills... You're in this business to pay your bills...

Chase: You're probably wondering what has brought this all on... You asked me about Johnny Deep and I go off on a rant... It's simple I'm tired of all the bullshit that goes on in this business... I'm tired of all the people who claim to be fighting for a revolution... Fighting for a better tomorrow... If they were fighting for a better tomorrow then this is the wrong industry to be fighting it in... To me people who claim to be part of a new revolution are spitting in the faces of all the men and woman that are actually out there trying to fight for a better tomorrow... From our service men and women to the emergency workers to those charity workers trying to help the needy... This is the wrestling business as much as it may seem compared to the real world we're here to entertain the masses not change the world... Many people are talking about standing up for themselves, fighting the system... When really they aren't fighting for change but because they want to be part of the system... People like Caliban and Lupus... They claim that they're fighting the system fighting for power to change the system... When it's simple they're not... They're fighting to become part of the system and to claim that power for themselves so that they can do what it is they're rebelling or speaking out against...

Then make sure that no one shall possess power.” It was a quote by a man called Mikhail Bakunin... You see leading the life I lead outside of WCF... I've realised that most people only think they want freedom. In truth they crave for social order, rigid laws and materialism. The only freedom most people really want, is the freedom to become comfortable... My father used to also always tell me Anarchism stands for liberation of the human mind from the dominion of religion; the liberation of the human body from the dominion of property; liberation from shackles and restraint of government. It stands for social order based on the free grouping of individuals... It was a quote from Emma Goldman... Most people believe in the fairytale of freedom but I've come to realise like so many others that only true freedom requires pain and sacrifice ... Like anything in life to be truly free you have to earn it... You have to suffer through the pitfalls, the beatings, the things that make you sick to your stomach...
I pause for a moment.
Chase: People will be wondering what all this has to do with my match with Deep or even WCF itself... It's simple I want Johnny and everyone else in WCF to realise that despite all the crap that I'm forced to deal with in WCF I will continue to endure... I will continue to endure the beatings, I will continue to endure all the crap people say to me and say behind my back... Cause unlike them I don't want power, I don't want fame... All I want is to be free to be who I am, to live the way that I want to live... To be with the people that I want to be with... So when Deep steps in the ring with me... I want him to know what exactly drives me to do the things I do... Why no matter how many beatings I suffer I will always fight to get back to my feet... Cause I believe in myself... I believe in the things that I believe in... I want him to know exactly the type of man I am... That is why I'm the Lone Wolf... And I don't care who it is that steps in the ring with me... Whether it's Twilight, Jack Happy, Lilith or some two cent porno star... To me they're just the next thing to overcome... So if you think I'm ever going to roll over and play dead to you or anyone then...
I look direct into the camera with a cold stare.
