The scene opens up backstage of the PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina host of this week's edition of Slam. We see Jayden Thunder through a secluded part of the building seemingly getting away from the other wrestlers, agents, trainers etc. who are all getting ready for the show tonight. He's wearing his usual ring gear and hoodie already ready to go. Once he gets to a spot he deems as the right one he begins stretching.
While standing, Thunder spreads his legs apart and touches his right toe for 10 seconds. He repeats with the left toe and finally in between his legs.
He then crosses his left foot over his right foot and touches his toes. After 10 seconds he switches feet and repeats.
Jayden Thunder: We've all heard the stories time and time again. Wrestling is a very intense and physically demanding sport. Working the neck, shoulders, and abdomen a lot. During my time in this industry, I have acquired very many skills. One of which is how to effectively stretch before matches. While I'll admit it does look funny it actually has helped me over the years with fewer injuries then the guys who don't realize that you have to go to take the time and train for this profession.
Thunder stands back up and puts his right arm across his chest and stretches. He then repeats with left arm.
Jayden Thunder: Wrestling is a very tough sport. It requires, in order of importance: endurance, intelligence, technique and power. That's why I'm in the gym 3-5 times a week. That's why I take the time before my matches to stretch so I don't get hurt and have to spend time at home away from doing the very thing I love the most, wrestling.
Thunder sits on the floor with both legs straight out in front of him. He takes his right leg and bends at the knee and then his left leg bending at the knee. He then leads forward and touches his feet with his forehead and does a butterfly stretch.
Jayden Thunder: Tonight marks my official single's debut here in Wrestling Championship Federation. I joined the company over a month ago and have competed in two battle royals and two tag matches. Tonight is the first night where everyone will get a taste of what I can do on my own. Sure my record so far isn't the greatest, but the thing is, as I get older I don't care about losses anymore.
Thunder stands back up again and performs a tripod stance, posting up on his toes and balances on his head (no hands!).
Jayden Thunder: We all take losses and it's about getting up and coming back. And that's what I do. And that's what seperates me from most in the locker room. Most notably my opponent tonight, the resident party boy...Zack Wild. You see Zack I've been watching you. You came into the company not long after me, we made our debut at One in the Battle Royal, I went on to be successful in that while you ended up on the outside looking in and that's the difference between me and you is you are too carefree, this isn't a party.
Thunder lies back down on the floor a performs a bridge stance, doing a tripod but on his back. After 10 seconds Thunder sits back up and sits Indian style resting.
Jayden Thunder: All you are worried about is drinking, partying, and having a good time. And that's your mistake. You don't take the proper time to train. All you are doing is punishing your body with the alcohol and the liquor. So tonight in that ring, I'm going to use that to my advantage. Sadly for you only one of us gets to have a successful singles debut match. And that'll be me. But that's not news for you, you already know this. Your mind's too damaged to realize it.
When we step into that ring and that bell rings. All the fun and games end. I'm more prepared and focused than you are. I'm the better man. This is my livelihood. I'm going to break you down and I'm going to take you out. You're right there is going to be a beating, but it won't be you beating me, it's me beating you for the one, two, three. And after the referee makes the count and calls for the bell you can do what you do best. You can go have that party with your new buddy "The Original Gangster" and as for me, I'll be going straight to the gym, training, preparing myself for next week.
Thunder stands up, looks into the camera, and then walks off as the screen fades to black.
