OFF CAMERA
The scene opens as I am sitting here in my hotel room at the Renaissance Providence Downtown Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island dressed in a plain black shirt, a pair of tight fitting blue denim jeans and a pair of black leather boots. I’m holding my cell phone to my ear as I’m waiting for my best friend, Sylvia, who is currently helping Matt look after the kids back in Florida whilst I’m here on WCF business, eventually after a few rings, she answers.
“Hi Stace…everything okay?”
I smirk a little before crossing my legs and respond.
“Yeah I’m fine, just missing my family, how are they doing?”
I stroke my free hand through my dyed red hair, which I’m getting rid of soon thankfully. My wandering mind is soon diverted when Sylvia states.
“Yeah they’re fine, Chelsea’s taking a nap, Matt’s resting and I’m sitting on the floor watching Nick play with his toys…”
I smile a little before saying to her.
“Well I just wanted to quickly check up on everything before I go for my appointment.”
I uncross my legs and Sylvia says to me.
“Appointment?”
I smirk as I get to my feet and walk over to the bed and pick up my black leather jacket before saying to her.
“Relax, it’s my final tattoo removal appointment, been having them for a good few months now…pretty much the only tattoo’s I’m keeping are the ones of my kid’s names. Reason why I’ve been getting them removed is because most of the things I’ve done to myself with my looks, my hair colour, my fake tan and of course the tattoo’s was because I thought Matt would like that. Now I’m thinking more about myself, a new year, a new opportunity for me to shine in a new wrestling company, so I’m getting a new look as well.”
I rest my phone between my cheek and my right shoulder and put my left arm through the sleeve of my jacket before taking hold of the phone with my left hand and put my right arm through the other sleeve as Sylvia says.
“Fair enough, why not…you know Matt will love you regardless of what you look like…”
I smile and nod before taking my car keys and the room key off of the table and place them into my pocket before stating.
“Yeah exactly, I guess I felt like I always had to do the things I did but now…I feel like a new woman…I’ve even decided to drop my wrestling nickname and change the names of a couple of my moves because I want to start off completely fresh. Anyway, I better get going…I’ll see you later…”
I hang up my phone and then exit my hotel room as the scene fades.

The scene re-opens the following day to the Dunkin Donuts Center as I swiftly enter through the arena doors dressed in the same clothes I was wearing yesterday, and head straight towards the interview room. I take hold of the door handle and open it to find Hank Brown sitting there waiting for me, he looks up at me and looks confused as I close the door behind me and he says.
“Stacy? Is that you?”
I chuckle a little as I sit down on the opposite side of the table, resting back and propping my legs up onto the table, crossing them. I look at him and his baffled expression before saying.
“Yes it is Hank…this is the new me…it was time for a change…”
I continue to look at his baffled expression as he states.
“But…you look so different…it’s like you’re a different woman entirely…”
I smirk and fold my arms before responding with.
“Yeah well Hank, I feel like a new woman…matter of fact…now I feel like myself. But anyway, I’m here for this interview, and when you introduce me, don’t call me the Queen of Punishment…it’s just plain Stacy Robinson now…”
Hank nods before he signals to the cameraman in the corner, who I didn’t even notice was in here until now, to begin recording and Hank looks into the camera and makes his typical introduction.
“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to this WCF.com Exclusive with me, Hank Brown and joining me at this time…is Stacy Robinson. Thanks for joining me Stacy…”
I stroke my hand through my long freshly dyed pitch black hair before replying.
“Thanks Hank, it’s good to be here as usual…”
Hank then reaches into his pocket and takes out his small notepad he writes questions on and gets to the right page and places it onto the table before first asking me.
“I would like to start off with a question I have just thought of if I may, and that question is simply, what made you decide to make all these many changes to yourself?”
I smirk, nodding at him before stating.
“Good question Hank, basically what you see here is the real me…the dyed red hair…the tattoo’s…the fake tan was all because I felt that’s what Matt wanted me to look like. I know he’s not the kind of man who cares about what I look like, but I personally felt I needed to look that way to make him happy. Recently I’ve been doing a lot of thinking and thought to myself that if I really wanted to be taken seriously in this company and achieve things on my own, I had to be myself and rid myself of any attachment to my husband in terms of work. So this pasty skin coloured, black haired, tattoo free woman you see before you is the real Stacy Robinson…and I am no longer the Queen of Punishment either…just plain old Stacy Robinson.”
Hank nods before checking his notepad and asking his next question.
“Well before the Christmas and New Year break, at WCF’s final Pay-Per-View event of the year, WCF’s biggest Pay-Per-View of the year, One…you shocked the entire WCF Universe and Benjamin Atreyu when you answered his open challenge. You came up short in the end, but you gave him one Hell of a fight, your thoughts?”
I smile thinking about the moment I walked out onto that stage before answering.
“Well first of all, the feeling I got when I answered his challenge and saw his reaction and listened to the reaction from the fans was amazing. Benjamin Atreyu is one of the best wrestlers this company has ever seen, and whether people want to admit it or not, I proved something out there that night, I proved I could hang with the best this company has to offer…and I will continue to do so.”
Hank again nods and glances down at his notepad again and then asking.
“Well this past Wednesday Night we saw you take part in a twelve person elimination Battle Royal with the final two left receiving shots at the Internet Champion, Zombie McMorris and the People’s Champion, Night Rider. You weren’t able to be one of the final two, but you did manage to get the elimination of the match in Freddy Whoa’s opinion when you eliminated Serial Thrilla with a tilt-a-whirl headscissors…your thoughts?”
I slowly nod, again thinking about my response before stating.
“It’s all well and good that Freddy Whoa considered my elimination to be the elimination of the match…and that does make me proud don’t get me wrong…but that match wasn’t going to be won with the most impressive elimination. I’m disappointed that I wasn’t able to get this year started the way I wanted to start it…maybe I focused too much on beating the Hell out of Lilith and didn’t focus on actually winning the match itself…it was my own fault why I lost and I admit that. And even though I’m not a fan of either Lilith or Jayson Price, I wish them the best of luck in their upcoming title matches.”
Yet again, Hank nods before checking his notepad a third time and asks me.
“Well my final question for you is this…on Sunday at the first 2014 edition of Slam, you’re against Benjamin Atreyu in a rematch from One, a rematch that you requested via Twitter and that he accepted shortly after you had issued it, why did you issue the challenge and what can we expect from you on Sunday?”
I take my feet off the table and rest them on the floor before sitting forward looking at Hank and I say to him.
“Hank, I asked for this rematch against Benjamin because I know I can beat him…and even though he doesn’t think the same way…I respect him because unlike some other people I have challenged in the past…he actually had the balls to accept my challenge. As for what you can expect from me? A new Stacy Robinson…a tougher Stacy Robinson…a more determined Stacy Robinson! At One I came real close to defeating Benjamin Atreyu…but this Sunday at Slam…I won’t come close to beating him…I WILL beat him! So Benjamin…I hope your listening…because your final penance is coming.”
Hank then turns to the camera with a smile on his face and closes the interview by saying.
“Well ladies and gentlemen…thanks for joining us on this WCF.com Exclusive…I’ve been Hank Brown…thanks for watching and goodnight!”
The camera slowly pans away from us as the scene fades.
