They had made their plans. He wasn't happy with it but he had no other choice. With her still being too weak from the sedative that was used when they were taken there was no way she could go with him. He couldn't even work the chains loose that held her. He would escape and come back later with some help to get her out. He hated having to leave her. He would rather take her with him now but they had no ideal who was behind everything. The only way to safely get her out and get whoever was behind it was to do it this way.
He waited until the time was right. Glancing around he noticed that the shadowy figure in charge of watching them had fallen asleep in his chair. Night Rider was finally able to get the ropes loose enough to slide on hand out. After using it to get his other hand free he removed the rest of the ropes. After kissing her tenderly he made his way through the building. It looked like an abandoned warehouse that had been empty for quite some time.
He saw a door near the back that was out of the guards sight. After making his way back there he tried the handle and was relieved to find that it was unlocked. He turned the handle and stepped outside. It was dark out, He had no ideal what time it was or how long they had been there. He noticed the woods in the distance and made his way towards the cover they would provide. After only taking a couple of steps he heard someone behind him. He turned in time to catch another one of the guards coming around the building. Before the guy had a chance to react Night Rider was on him. He grabbed the guy by the neck so he couldn't scream out and held him up in the air until the very life drained out of him. Night Rider dropped the empty shell to the ground and continued on his way.
He reached the woods and followed an old trail through them to the other side. He stood behind the shelter of the trees and checked out the area. Off in the distance he could see a farmhouse with a light in the window. He walked slowly towards the building, Taking cover along the way to keep from being seen. Walking around the back of the farmhouse he noticed an older model truck parked there. He climbed inside and grabbed the ignition wires. After hot wiring the vehicle and getting it to start he pulled out of the driveway and took off. He drove for a few miles before reaching a main road. He turned onto the road and headed towards a lighted area up ahead towards what he hoped was a town. He didn't even see the vehicle pull out in front of him. He swerved trying to avoid it. One of the tires on the truck blew, The next thing he knew the truck slammed into a tree. His head hit the windshield and the lights went out.
He didn't know how long he had been there or how long he had been out. He opened his eyes, Seeing nothing but white all around him. His head hurt like hell. He could feel it throbbing like a bomb about to explode. He heard a voice near him but couldn't make out who was speaking.
Nurse
Doctor, I think he's coming around. I'll check his vitals again.
He felt a thermometer go into his mouth as something tightened up on his arm. Someone else was shining a light into his eyes and checking out the bandages on his head. He felt groggy and drifted back to sleep. When he woke up again the room was empty. He sat up in bed and pulled the iv out of his arm. After removing the wires for the monitors he grabbed his clothes out of the closet. He changed out of the hospital gown he was wearing and walked out.
Night Rider hailed a taxi and had it take him to the nearest hotel. After checking in he went to the closest store to pick up some supplies. After returning he grabbed a phone and dialed Hank Brown's number.
Hank Brown
Hello? Who is this?
Night Rider
Hank, It's Night Rider. Listen up, I need you to meet me at the Burger Bar across the street from the Courtyard Hotel. I need you to get here as quick as you can.
Hank Brown
Night Rider, Where have you been? Is this about your upcoming match?
Night Rider
What match?
Hank Brown
You and Denise D'Evil will be involved in a triple threat tag team match against Biowalker and The Diaz Brothers.
Night Rider
That's just great. Denise and I were kidnapped. I escaped and I need to go back and get her.
Hank Brown
I'll be there in about twenty minutes.
He hung up the phone and waited. In the meantime he checked the supplies he had picked up to make sure everything was ready. He just hoped he could get back to her in time.
He sat at a table in the back. The room was dimly lit with about 10 tables in the middle and 10 booths along each side. The bar sat in front of them with the kitchen area behind it. His waitress brought the Jack and Coke he had ordered and walked away. He took a drink and sat his glass back down. Hank Brown needed to hurry the hell up. He hated having to call him in the first place but he knew that Hank could be trusted and the word was that he knew how to get things. Things he would need.
His thoughts turned to their match. He hoped he would be able to get her in time. They were one cohesive unit in the ring and when they were on no one could touch them. Especially BioWalker and the Diaz Brothers. The Diaz Brothers were going to be disappointed when they lose their first match together. They were going to find out what a real ass whooping was all about. BioWalker was nothing but a walking disaster and would pose about as much of a test to them as a fly would to a frog. Neither one of them stood much of a chance at lasting very long. It was going to be funny watching their losses add up and seeing how long it takes until they are nothing but a memory. They just didn't have the talent to hang with the best.
Hank Brown
There you are, I couldn't hardly see it is so dark in here. What's this about you and D'Evil being kidnapped? I thought that was just a gag or something. What can I do to help?
Night Rider
I need the use of your vehicle so I can go back out to get her. I need a sniper rifle, A couple hand guns with some balls, And plenty of ammo.
Hank Brown
What, Are you just going to go charging in there shooting the place up? Then she gets hit by a stray bullet or they kill her.
Night Rider
Just trust me on this, I know what I am doing. I will take out whoever I can from a distance as they come out and then go in and get the rest. Then I will bring her back here where she is safe. I really need to get going because I don't know how long they will be there. They could move her any time and I wouldn't know where she was at.
Hank Brown
You will find what you need in the back of the Suburban. Just be careful and get her back here.
Night Rider
I will do just that. Here's the pass for my hotel room. Wait for me there.
He handed Hank his pass and grabbed the keys to the Suburban. He downed what was left of his drink and walked out. After checking the back he got in and headed down the highway. Before long he reached the spot where the truck had hit the tree. He could see the gash in the tree where it had been struck but the truck was gone. He passed the gravel drive that led to the farmhouse. He then passed the old warehouse. On the other side there was another gravel drive that led around the building he pulled in and parked the Suburban beyond the treeline out of sight. He watched the place for what seemed like forever and still didn't see any movement. There were no vehicles in sight but they could be hidden as well. He made his way up to the building and eased around it. When he made it to the door he was dismayed to find it wide open.
He stepped inside. He could see where they had been tied together and where her chains had been connected. Other than that and the three chairs sitting around an old table the place was empty. He hung his head and fought back the tears. He had to find her, Somehow, Someway. He just HAD to! Where could they have taken her? One way or another he would find out.
