After nearly a year of infighting, yelling, screaming, titles on the line, companies in the middle, it had finally come down to one brutal match at One, an Ultra Ten match, the first match of its kind between the current owner of WCF Sarah Twilight and former owner of WCF Eric Price. But this match was much more than just about company ownership, it was about a bitter rivalry that became more personal than either of the participants would ever care to admit or realize however it had all finally come to a point where neither could stand the other. This is not about titles, this is not about company ownership, this is simply about two people who hate each other and want to each other no longer exist.
Wednesday 12/18 – The Certainty of Destruction
Scene I: So it’s finally happening – 11 AM – Eric Price’s Office in Los Angeles, CA
*Eric Price is shown standing at his office window, staring out at the city below him, dressed in a well pressed black suit with a white collar, blue shirt, blue tie, as he is quite pensive about what is coming this Sunday.*
Eric Price: Look Rachel, I know you’re not happy that I’m doing this but it’s a decision I made in good consciousness and what’s more, it was your sister’s idea rather than mine. She wants to set out to make our lives miserable, I’m going to show her that she can’t just make you or I do whatever she wants; we are not going to bow down to her ever!
*Rachel is shown sitting in Eric’s large executive leather chair leaning back wearing form-fitting blue jeans and a black crop top as her feet are on top of Eric’s desk. Eric simply looks at her for a moment as he speaks and she retorts back*
Rachel Twilight-Price: I know it was her idea but don’t you see she’s just trying to get you right where she wants you. She’s using you. I understand you’re still furious over what happened at our wedding, I’m still crushed as well because … I never thought …
*Rachel starts tearing up*
Rachel Twilight-Price: I never thought my own sister Sarah would turn her back on me.
*Eric walks over to Rachel and quickly hugs her*
Eric Price: I … I know, you loved her and we both thought she loved you but I never thought we would have seen that.
*Eric looks at Rachel straight in the eyes*
Eric Price: Look at me Rachel … look at me! I promise you that I will make her pay for what she did to you. I know it’s not easy for you to bear witness but at the same time, I cannot forgive what she did to us. You know …
*Eric gets up and starts pacing around the office*
Eric Price: I always knew she was not a good person but I never thought … I never thought she would stoop this low. I always believed she had a rock, she had at least one shred of goodness and decency because she always loved and protected you but after what happened, I don’t know. As far as I’m concerned, she’s heartless, she’s soulless and quite frankly, she deserves everything bad that happens to her.
*Rachel looks up at Eric*
Rachel Twilight-Price: ERIC?!
*Eric looks at her and raises his eyebrows*
Eric Price: I know … I know you still love her but … you are just too good of a person sometimes Rachel. Your caring nature I think gets the best of you. Then again, if everyone were like you, the world would be a much better place.
*Rachel half-cracks a smile at that statement still saddened over recent events*
Eric Price: At least you’re feeling better though, I know it hasn’t been easy but we have to deal with this and move on with our lives. I’ll tell you what, let’s go get some lunch. Down at the corner, there’s a small deli that’s really good.
*The scene fades to black as Eric and Rachel prepare to leave for some lunch*
Scene II: A Surprise Call – 11:30 AM – The Delicatessen Place in Los Angeles, CA
*Eric and Rachel are shown sitting at a small table in a place called “The Delicatessen Place” eating some sandwiches for lunch, which they are both enjoying as they discuss over plans of what they are doing for their honeymoon and the future*
Eric Price: You know Rachel, we never did get to take that honeymoon I planned out for us. I’ll tell you what, you pick out the place and I’ll make the arrangements!
Rachel Twilight-Price: Okay … you know, I never really had big plans for it but I guess it should be fun.
*Eric seems dumbfounded by Rachel’s lack of enthusiasm*
Eric Price: You don’t seem that excited Rachel, what’s up?
Rachel Twilight-Price: I just … it’s like this cloud hanging over me. I can’t get over what Sarah did to me. It’s not … she always promised me ever since we were kids that she would always take care of me yet when I try to live my own life, she turns on me. I … I just don’t know what to think, maybe this is all a mistake.
Eric Price: I don’t think so. You know why she’s so against us being married, it’s because of me. It’s not that you’re making your own life, I don’t think that’s what bothers her, in fact I’m sure it’s just because you picked me of all people to marry. I guess in her mind I don’t measure up or something but really, it’s not her decision to make is it?
Rachel Twilight-Price: That’s true but … it just hurts.
Eric Price: I know, I know … but we have to understand that no matter how it goes, it’s your sister’s hang up, not ours. We have to just accept the fact that she will never like our union.
*Eric’s cell phone rings and he picks it up, putting it on speaker as he’s eating*
Eric Price (on speaker): Yeah?
Sarah Twilight (on speaker): Asshole!
Eric Price (on speaker): What the hell do you want?
Sarah Twilight (on speaker): Damn it asshole, give back those awards, they aren’t yours.
*Eric smirks*
Eric Price (on speaker): This is what you’re calling me about? Awards? How about “hi, how are you? How’s that beautiful wife of yours doing?”
Sarah Twilight (on speaker): I don’t give a fuck about that treacherous bitch!
*Rachel looks saddened by that statement as Eric just shakes head*
Eric Price (on speaker): You know … it’s sad that you can’t accept the fact that your sister decided to make her own life. It shows just how weak and pathetic you really are. The only treacherous bitch I saw was you two weeks ago when you decided to lie and attack us from behind. You’re lucky I haven’t pressed charges against you. Rachel is the only reason that hasn’t happened. She still has a shred of hope that you care about her and in a way, I kinda hope it would happen especially with Christmas around the corner.
Sarah Twilight (on speaker): This isn’t some Miracle on 34th Street special asshole, this is real life. The reason you haven’t pressed charges is because you have no case. The only reason you married Rachel is to get to me and you know it.
*Eric is infuriated over that statement*
Eric Price (on speaker): Are you that self-absorbed that you think the whole world and its actions revolve around you? I married Rachel because she loves me and I love her. She made me and still makes me very happy and makes my life whole. You however, you seem to have lost your humanity at some point and now are reduced to thinking you are the center of attention.
Sarah Twilight (on speaker): I don’t need anyone.
Rachel Twilight-Price (on speaker): It doesn’t seem like it Sarah. You know, I always forgave you for everything you did because you were my big sister. I’ve covered for you for years and years, always trying to justify to both the world and myself what you did as being for the best but looking at it realistically, I realize that everything you’ve done, you’ve done for no one but yourself.
Sarah Twilight (on speaker): Hey asshole, you tell that bitch of yours to calm down before I have to maim her again.
*Eric looks totally enraged as Rachel nearly is in tears over that last statement by Sarah*
Eric Price (on speaker): I tell you what Sarah, congratulations, you have what you want. You are now truly what you’ve always said you were, you’re completely and totally alone, and at least before someone cared about you but now … no one is there to give a damn about you. I tried to care about you and you rejected me and stabbed me in the back, Rachel cared about you all her life and always loved and devoted herself to you as her hero, her big sister that you were but you stabbed her in the back. So go ahead, be a lonely, miserable piece of garbage who only has one person in her life … herself!
*Eric hangs up the phone in anger as Rachel is crying in anger over what just transpired*
Eric Price: Rachel?
Rachel Twilight-Price: I’m fine, I’m fine. I … you know what, I loved her and I was thinking of inviting her for Christmas with us but forget it. She seems to want nothing to do with us. I … let’s just not talk about her anymore, she’s nothing but bad news for us.
Eric Price: True. I’ll go drop you off at the house and then run an errand.
Rachel Twilight-Price: Where you going?
Eric Price: I have to go clear my head for a bit, I’ll drop you off first so you can relax and then I have some thinking to do. So I’ll probably just head out to the beach for a bit.
Rachel Twilight-Price: That’s fine, I think I should relax anyway. I … I’ll plan our honeymoon yes, you’re right, it’s time I start living my own life!
Eric Price: That’s the spirit!
*The scene fades to black as Eric and Rachel take their sandwiches and leave the small delicatessen.*
Scene III: The Demons of the Past – 4:00 PM – Ventura Rocky Beach in Ventura, CA
*Eric is shown sitting on the hood of his car, parked right next to the beach as the sun is getting ready to set, his sportcoat off, his tie loosened as he lies with his sunglasses on simply thinking of what is to come and what has happened thus far*
Eric Price: You know … I’ve done almost everything there is to do in WCF. I’ve won many titles, won many awards, many accolades yet in the midst of all that, I’ve had to deal with the Sarah Twilight problem for a long, long time. In a way, I suppose it’s a problem of my own creation because honestly, like it or not, I made you what you are today in WCF Sarah Twilight. Without me, you would be nothing but some lowly mid-carder with no relevance. Yet I saw talent in you, raw talent and I took it and ran with it. I should have known the whole thing was a mistake to begin with considering how arrogant and evil you were from the beginning but I felt that business could supersede any personal conflicts or grievances we may have had against one another.
*Eric smirks a bit*
Eric Price: Women have an advantage you see, they can blind us with love but that’s why we have common sense to guide us properly … poor guide is what it is, common sense, logic … they’re all liars in these situations. Your machinated return, your machinated push to the top, those were all my creation, not yours. Without me, people wouldn’t have given a damn about you … love me or hate me, the fact is Sarah is that every good hero needs a good villain and I played that role to a T and you gave the people the hero they sought after. We certainly did pull the wool over everyone didn’t we? But somewhere along the way Sarah, at some point you decided that you were going to start calling your own shots and pulling your own strings. A smart businessman would cut his losses at that point and turn a bad asset loose. I however made a mistake.
*Eric envisions a scene in his mind where he grabs the face of Sarah Twilight and puts it in water drowning her*
Eric Price: Yes, I made the mistake … I made the mistake of mixing business with pleasure and I started to actually personally care about you. As time wore on, I saw you less as a business asset and more as an object of personal affection and hell, I’d blame you for that but women have that effect on men and I was especially susceptible to your wares. I blame no one but myself for that because I allowed myself to become weak and pathetic to a woman who clearly is nothing but an abusive attention whore. I even pledged what I thought was my love for you and yes … I did love you Sarah Twilight but it seems you just have an aversion to that word so you turned your back on me for it and stabbed me when I didn’t see it coming. Because of that betrayal, you ended up owning the company … again, my fault for allowing it to happen.
*Eric smirks a bit*
Eric Price: The funny thing is you still seem to believe this is all about you and that I somehow got together with Rachel to spite you; that shows just how pathetic and sad you really are. First off, Rachel came to me first because she felt horrible over what you did to me at the altar and we started conversing with one another, she consoled me in one of my darkest moments. I … I never admitted to this but after the incident occurred … I … I …
*Eric flashes back in his mind to a scene on 9/17/13, two days after the wedding incident where Sarah betrayed Eric. Eric is shown in his home disheveled grabbing a bottle of pills and thinking of just taking it all along with a bottle of vodka that he is opening. Before he is able to ingest either, he hears the phone ring and he picks it up and on the other side is Rachel Twilight.*
Eric Price: That was the first night we spoke because believe it or not, I was ready to commit suicide, I’d lost my company, my fiancée, everything and I was downright depressed but she helped me put myself back together, she helped me realize that it wasn’t the end of the world. Fact is she was there for me, which is more than I could ever say for you. So if anyone extended the olive branch of caring, it was Rachel, not me. My relationship with her had nothing to do with you, in fact when we started dating, we had to do it in secret and we both thought quite a bit about how to break the news to you and how you would take it. I didn’t want to hurt you that way and Rachel certainly didn’t want to hurt you either but the heart wants what it wants … oh wait that’s right Sarah … you have no heart, no soul, you would know nothing of these concepts.
*Eric then imagines the scene again in his mind where he takes Sarah Twilight’s head and he continues to drown it in water*
Eric Price: Funny thing is that Rachel even tried to convince me of what a good person you could be and she being your sister, I thought it was possible you could have some redeeming qualities and I even largely forgave you for your betrayal and just decided to move on with my life. But obviously you couldn’t let it go and then you did the most heinous thing I’ve ever seen. You assault your own sister and let loose your dog … that being Lilith on her and myself during our wedding. You even lied to us to try and get it done, it shows just how sick and twisted and pathetic you really are that you had to resort to such tactics. And despite all that … DESPITE IT ALL … Rachel still thought you were a good person deep inside and thought you had some redeeming qualities but today, I think she’s finally starting to realize what we’ve all come to realize about you and that is that you’re nothing but the scum of the Earth that needs to be cleaned off.
*Eric gets up from the hood of his car and looks out toward the setting sun on the beach*
Eric Price: One is fast approaching and I cannot wait because this is not about a lovers’ quarrel, this is not about a title, this is not even about proving who is the better competitor, this is simply about hurting you and the fact is I am going to hurt you. I’m going to hurt you not only for everything you’ve done to me but for hurting Rachel as well because she never did anything wrong to deserve it! I told you at the beginning of all of this that this is a personal vendetta and indeed it is. You decided to make it very personal and at One, everyone’s going to see just what I’m capable of when you push me too far. See you at One Sarah.
*Eric envisions the same scene where he is drowning Sarah Twilight in a vat of water and finishing the job as she can no longer breathe and her limp body is left with her head in the water, motionless. Eric then smirks and walks away as the scene switches back to show Eric standing by his car smirking as the scene fades to black*
