{The scene opens up with Makayla Cooper, standing behind a counter that mirrors a school cafeteria. She has her hair tied back and a stained white apron over her clothes. A man shuffles up to her and she brings up a ladle and fills a bowl with soup. The man smiles at her and then moves along. Makayla looks up, noticing the camera crew and gives them a smile}
Makayla: I see you found me. Good sleuthing skills. I suppose you're probably wondering why I'm here. Well, it has a lot to do with something my Daddy instilled in me when I was a child. Part of being thankful for what we have to giving to those that don't have the same luxuries. So every year around Thanksgiving, we would volunteer in a soup kitchen, helping to warm the bellies of those that are in need.
{She fills another bowl. Gives the man a smile and continues to speak as she stirs the soup}
Makayla: Every weekend I find a shelter where they need people. I volunteer my time. I do this right up until Christmas. I would do it all the time but my schedule is very demanding but I always make sure that around the holidays, when the volume is heavier... that I arrange my time so that I can bring some light to another person's day.
{She leans back and catches the attention of another worker. The woman comes over}
Makayla: I'm going to take a 15 minute break if that's okay.
Supervisor: Oh yes, of course.
{Mack takes off the apron as another volunteer takes her place. She allows the crew to follow her to the back of the building. she takes a seat on an empty crate that according to the words on the side, contained vegetables that were used in the soup. She looks up at the camera}
Makayla: So I guess you really want to know about my match this week. A tag match against George and Kevin with this guy named Jason Weslow. I'm not quite sure what to think about Jason...at times I think he's a stand up guy but then there are other times when it seems like he might be a tad on the arrogant side...however.. he is not my opponent so I don't care what his character flaws are as long as on Sunday, he's got my back like on Slam last week when we were thrown together at the whim of the tyrant named Sarah Twilight.
{She looks up when a cat scurries across the alley, issuing hisses as a big orange tom follows suit. she smirks, laughs a little and returns back to the camera}
Makayla: Wow, that wasn't fortuitous at all...considering that's kinda how I feel about George's little stalker thing he's got going on. I really don't know how many times I can say that I'm not interested. I'm sure that he's a *she coughs* great *cough* guy... sorry that was really hard to choke out...but I'm not interested someone's whose intelligence is less than the vegetables that used to occupy this crate. I haven't heard much from his counterpart Kevin, but together they seem to be a regular Laverne and Shirley. Bosom buddies. whatever you wanna call it. All I know is that I've been watching. I know what it's going to take to win this match and on top of that I have a partner who has demonstrated that his ability is far more superior to most in this fed, let alone These two fools. If they somehow think that this is an opportunity to 'nerd smash' me then they will be very disappointed because the only one getting 'smashed' is them.
{She takes a deep breath and looks back toward the entrance of he building where there seems to be some commotion.}
Makayla: looks like the dinner rush has filed in so I'll wrap this up real quick. I think that this Sunday my goal of helping the needy continues. I'm going to help those two NERDS make contact with the matt and stay there. They can bring their very best lame insults or their very worse pick up lines but the result will end up the same.... BAZINGA!
{She smiles, getting up from the crate and walking toward the entrance. She turns with a concentrated look on her face and she pumps her index finger at the camera as if she's trying to remember something that she meant to say. When it comes to her, her whole face lights up}
Makayla: I have something special planned for those two at the end. Just wait and see.
{She waves before entering the soup kitchen once more, closing the heavy metal door behind her. In the background the sound of the cat growling is heard once more. The camera pans over as the big orange tom is slinking away with the hair on it's back raised and it's tail large with fright. Seconds later the female cat comes out and struts away, animal body language for victory}
