Act 1: Victory and a new title

The scene opens on the arena just after the show had ended. The city was dark and the lights from the lights below cast their glow to the sky, and to the streets. Stars were hidden behind the heavy clouds that hung over the city, and the moon peeked out casting it's glow to the ground, only to be hidden once again. We soon see a figure standing on top of the arena looking down at the parking lot as it cleared out once again. As the camera focuses in we see Denise standing there with the People's Title hanging off of her shoulder. Her bright blue eyes seem to focus on one car. She watches Sarah get into the limo that was waiting for her and pulls off into the night. She had made a show for the following week that no one would forget and no one knew who was going to face who. And there was a chance that her title could be up for grabs. She looks out over the city, letting the wind move through her long hair wondering if he was out there somewhere looking at the same sky she was. At least thy could share something together even if they weren't together. Night Rider had contacted her in a few weeks, and she was starting to get worried. She lets the gold of the belt slip through her fingers knowing that she had finally won another title and was a champion for the people. She sighs, and closes her eyes.
Voice: I thought I would find you up here.
Denise's eyes get wide as she turns around seeing Night Rider standing behind her. She runs to him and he grabs her picking her up and she clings to him as he spins her around. She kisses him, and Night Rider is taken back but smiles as he sets Denise back down.
Denise: I've missed you! I can't believe you're back. I was worried about you!
Night Rider: I told you I would be all right, and that I would come back to you.
Denise: I know, but you worried me when you didn't even send word to me about where you were. Don't ever do that again. Not on your own at least.
Night Rider smiles and they head toward the door that would lead them down to the main part of the arena. Denise hoists the title up on her shoulder, and smiles softly as the light catches it.
Night Rider: Congrats by the way. I did manage to see that match and I don't think I could have been more proud of you as I was that night.
Denise: Thank you. I worked my ass off just to get where I did. But I couldn't have done it without you. But this week I'm not sure what to expect.
He nods, as they start down the long staircase. Denise couldn't believe it. He had come back to her in one piece and looked just as she remembered.
Night Rider: I heard about the matches this week. Everything is random, and you'll have no idea who you're facing until you get out there...
Denise: Yeah I know. I've never felt so blind going into a match. I don't know what to expect or anything. How do you prepare for something like this?
Night Rider: The same way you always do. You just don't know who you're opponent is.
Denise looks over at him and smiles softly. He was right, but it still wasn't going to be easy. She had faced a lot of the roster in the WCF but there had been new additions over the last few weeks.
Denise: You're right. I have to predict what I'm in for I guess. I've faced just about everyone on the roster. Even a couple of the new guys last week. It shouldn't be to hard to figure this one out.
Night Rider: That's my girl.
Denise blushes slightly, and looks at him. Their simple friendship had gotten a little more serious then she thought, but it didn't matter.
Denise: You're girl? I like it. Why don't we go back to my hotel room, and have a little bit of time to catch up?
Night Rider takes her by the hand and the two of them continue down the long flight of stairs, until the reach the main floor of the arena. They head for the front doors and slip off into the night, as the scene fades to black.
The scene reopens on the Marriott hotel in Topeka Kansas. The room was plain white, and the carpet was dark. The large bed sat in the middle of the room across from the large bay window that over looked the city. The room was dark and the curtains were drawn, and the only light that could be seen was a shimmer of light that came from the small slit in the curtains, that creeped along the floor. The camera goes over the bed, and we see Denise lying beside Night Rider. Her raven hair was framed around her face beautifully and her pale skin seemed to almost glow in the darkness of the room. She starts to stir and opens her dark eyes. She looks over and smiles to herself, as she grabs a black robe that sat beside the bed. She stretches and slips into the sheer silk robe before she moves to the window. She slides the drapes open slightly, and looks down at the city as it starts to come to life.
Denise: This week everyone is at a disadvantage. No one knows who they are facing, and that isn't easy, but it can be worked through if one wants something bad enough. I don't know who I'm facing this week so this goes out to anyone that is stupid enough to get into that ring against me. I'm the latest People's Champion, and I know there is a really good chance that it's on the line, but let me make this clear as I possibly can. I'm not going to give up that title unless you pry it from my cold dead hands, and the match isn't going to be won that easy. I will fight, and do whatever I have to do to win this match. With no holds bared I have to admit it's a lot easier to get away with anything that you can think of. I'm not going to hold back, I'm not going to throw punches, I'm not going to back down from anyone.
Denise turns back slightly and sees Night Rider lying so peacefully lost in a deep sleep. She smiles softly and sits down on one of the chairs by the window.
Denise: Over the last few weeks I've been distracted... Worried is a better word I guess. But now that Night Rider is back, I'm not going to have worries while I'm in the ring. No matter who steps into that ring with me, will get the beat down of a life time. I won't stop until I have another win under me. So tell me who's going to step up, and face me? Who's willing to put their body on the line?
Her dark eyes sparkle in the dim light, and she smiles looking over at the title that was draped over one of the chairs. It had been a fight just getting the People's Championship but she had done it.
Denise: I wonder who they'll toss against me this week? I mean it could be Oblivion, or maybe Bobby Cario. Hell I wouldn't be surprised if they threw Logan out there against me. I would love to see him squirm in the middle of that ring, and make sure that I walked away the winner this time. Then again they could toss me against Chelsea Black Armstrong! Of course like I said before, it really doesn't matter who I face this week, because I'll be ready for anyone. The Deathbringer comes and she comes for thee! See you soon.
Denise gets up from she sits and moves back to the bed, as her phone rings. She lets it go to voice mail, and slides back into the bed beside Night Rider. Her eyes start to close once again, and the scene fades to black.
