The scene opens to the US Airways Center in Phoenix, Arizona as I enter through the arena doors dressed in a pair of black boots, a pair of black leather trousers, a black Punisher shirt, a black leather coat and a pair of black leather gloves. I make my way down the corridor to my locker room and enter it, closing the door behind me.
“Tonight is the night Matthew…tonight is the night that I take over for one night only and make everyone who has wronged you and your family suffer!”
“Yes it is…once they have suffered the pain and punishment they all deserve…they will forever regret the moment they messed with The Punisher!”
“Why are you setting me free for just one night Matthew? I have heard what Lilith has been saying…maybe she’s right about allowing me to take over for eternity…”
“You’re wrong…I love my wife and my children…and I’ll be damned if I allow this woman to try and change that!”
“Very well…but remember this Matthew…I will never disappear for good…I will always be here…locked away and hidden in your psyche…don’t ever forget that.”
Suddenly I snap back into reality as I hear a knock at the door, I walk over to the door and open it to find WCF Interviewer, Hank Brown stood there with a cameraman behind him.
“Matt! You made it…”
“What do you want Hank?”
“A quick interview…if that’s okay?”
“Why not…come on in…”
I allow Hank and the cameraman into my locker room and I close the door behind me before taking a seat as Hank and the cameraman get set up. The camera begins rolling and Hank begins the interview.
“Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to this WCF.com Exclusive with me, Hank Brown and my very special guest at this time is none other than, ‘The Punisher’ Matthew Robinson. My first question Matthew is simply this, after what has happened in your life over the past few weeks, what kind of mental state are you in?”
“I’m in a dark place Hank…but that can only mean that every single person who steps into that ring with me on Sunday at War…will suffer pain and punishment…”
“It has come to my attention that you seem to be having a war of words with the recently returned Lilith, in her latest promo she was seen entering the arena pushing a buggy, one can only assume that she’s trying to get into your head with you recently having your second child, care to comment?”
“She’s trying to get into my head yes…but she’s ultimately failing…I know that my daughter is safe because she along with my wife have been discharged from hospital and are currently being looked after by an old friend of mine, and they’re somewhere that nobody in this company will ever know about.”
“After comments made via Twitter by Logan a few weeks back, you issued a challenge to him that he is yet to accept, what are your thoughts on that?”
“Logan has made it clear that because I’m just a mere rookie, he doesn’t want to waste his time on me…fair enough…but to me that tells me that he’s afraid of me…if the two of us end up in the ring together tonight…I will show him that I am worthy of facing him…and if after that he still fails to accept my challenge…well then I’ll just have to find him and get my revenge…and I WILL get my revenge!”
“Speaking of revenge, I’m sure you will be hoping that you get a chance to fight Sarah Twilight and Lionheart in the War match tonight…am I right in that assumption?”
“Of course you are…they’re the two people responsible for giving my wife unnecessary stress and caused her to give birth to our daughter two months premature…they’re the reason why my wife and daughter very nearly lost their lives. If I get my hands on those two tonight, they can kiss goodbye to their chances of winning…and they can kiss goodbye to their wrestling careers PERIOD!”
“There will be a chance that you will end up having to face your friend and fellow tag team partner Seifer Black Armstrong…and there’s a chance you will have to face the man who saved your wife from Lionheart, Eric Price…what are your thoughts on that?”
“Seifer and I have had many battles against one another over the years…we both know the score with this match…it’s every man for himself and it is for the World Heavyweight Championship…if the time comes that we do have to fight one another…that’s exactly what we shall do. As for Eric, I owe him for what he did when he saved Stacy from Lionheart…but with that said…just like with Seifer…if the two of us find ourselves in the ring at the same time…we will fight one another without hesitation…”
“My final question is this, your wife Stacy is no stranger to in ring competition, having being a wrestler herself, is there any possibility that she may end up becoming an in ring competitor when she has fully recovered?”
“I have no idea, she hasn’t mentioned anything, but I know my wife and she’s like me when it comes to wanting revenge, so in all honesty, it wouldn’t surprise me if she wanted to become an in ring competitor so she could get her hands on the likes of Sarah Twilight, Lionheart, Logan and Lilith…”
“Well Matt, thanks for your time…and good luck tonight…”
“Thanks Hank…I’ll catch you later…”
I stand to my feet and make my way over to the door; I open it and exit my locker room as the scene fades.
