Act 1: Victory at any cost

therefore all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets."

"It is forbidden to kill;
therefore all murderers are punished unless they kill in large numbers and to the sound of trumpets."
Voltaire
The scene opens on the lush green rolling hills of Ireland. The sun was high in the sky, and seemed to cause everything to shimmer in the late afternoon. Sheep roamed in the vast fields, and horses thundered across the rolling hills with the wind whipping through their long manes. The lush green trees still held their color, and gently swayed in the light breeze that moved around them. The bright colored flowers were still in bloom and full of life. Ruins of castles littered the scenery and were places of legend filled with ghosts and other creatures of lore. The camera pans over what appears to be a rather large estate in the middle of a vast field. Trees surrounded the main house, and lined the heavily wooded area. On the other side were large hillsides, and only connected by what appeared to be left of two stone bridges. Large holes littered the vast yard and a few blood stains seemed to have soaked into the ground. One of the buildings was being renovated and fixed after what could have been a storm or something worse. We soon see a car moving up the long road, and heading toward the main house. A young woman with red hair, and bright green eyes stands outside with a rather large rifle in hand, as the car stops and we soon see Denise behind the stearing wheel. The red haired woman smiles as Denise opens the door, and steps out.
Woman: Denise? What in hell are you doing here?
Denise: I could ask the same about you Avery. I thought you were traveling the world.
Avery: I am, but we decided to take a break before we head back to the states.
Denise: We? Are you finally involved with someone?
Avery shakes her head, and smiles softly. She had been traveling the world with a group of people that were in search of something that was important to the client they had, but for now they were enjoying the time off.
Avery: No. I'm with a few others that have decided to help a dying man fulfill his wish. I can't really say any more though. It's all hush hush.
Voice: That's bullshit!
The two of them turn around and a young dark haired man comes toward them. Avery sighs, as Denise leans against the car.
Avery: What do you know Marty? We only told you a part of it.
Denise: Do I even want to know?
Marty: You should get her to tell you the story of where they've been. Plus what happened here.
Denise: What did happen here?
Avery: Uninvited guests. They thought they could take us out, but they got a very rude awakening.
Marty: Yeah. We managed to hold them off, and lost one member of the family. They lost a lot more...
Denise smiles and they start heading toward the main house. It loomed out from the trees that surrounded it but still had a feeling of quaintness about it as the door was opened. The fireplace was alive with red, and orange flames, and a rather large shield and sword sat above it, and had been polished until it was bright by loving hands. Animal heads littered the walls, as well as family pictures along with antique weapons.
Denise: I see nothing has changed since I've been here last.
Avery: Not at all. Except for the holes in the lawn, and the bridges that are in pieces now.
Voice: We didn't have much of a choice did we?
Avery: Not really Shaun, If we hadn't blown the bridges we would have more of those bastards to contend with.
Shaun: If it wasn't for you and your friends we would have been really up a shit creek then wouldn't we?
Avery smiles as she slumps down on the long leather couch. Denise sits in on of the high backed red crushed velvet chairs, and leans back. It was soft, and felt good just to relax for a while.
Denise: Why did they attack you?
Shaun: They were after baby Avery and her friends, because of the information that they had. If you ask me it's all a bunch of bullshit anyway.
Marty: No one is asking you.
Shaun: Fuck you!
Marty: Fuck you!
The two of them start to shove each other, and then begin a brawl right in the middle of the living room. Avery and Denise get up, and head for the door. The two of them head outside, and start walking the grounds.
Avery: So what brings you here Denise?
Denise: I had to get away for a bit to clear my head. Plus I have this match coming up, and...
Avery: Right, we have money on that one.
Denise: You've been watching?
Avery: They have... I've been trying to keep up.
Denise: So you know what's going on then? The thing is I don't know what to do about this match.
Avery stops in her tracks, and then looks back at Denise.
Avery: You know how to fight! You know how to kick people's asses? So what's the problem?
Denise: I'm not sure. But I know that the ones that stand in my way are going to feel my foot up their asses. It's just if it comes down...
Avery: I getcha! You're worried if it comes down to you and your friend that you won't be able to do what needs to be done right?
Denise nods, as she stops and leans against one of the many trees that surrounded the house.
Denise: Yeah. I mean I know one of us will have to go after it, and I plan on doing what I have to do.
Avery: But...
Denise: Both Night Rider and I want this more than anyone else. I don't want to hurt him.
Avery smiles and leans against the tree beside Denise.
Avery: I think I get it. You like him.
Denise: Not in that way. Only as a friend Avery! It's just we haven't had a good winning streak lately, and if it comes down to the two of us...
Avery: Denise look at me. You know he would do anything to get his hands on that title. What are you willing to do to get ahead of everyone else?
Denise: Anything that I have to.
Avery: Damn right you would! Besides if he really is your friend he'll be happy for you if you win right?
Denise: I guess you're right.
Avery sighs, and hits her arm lightly.
Avery: There isn't any guessing about it. It's either you know or you don't. Listen why don't you go to the stables and get one of the horses, and take a ride. It'll help clear your head a bit more.
Denise: You're right. I need to do something to clear my head, and that sounds like a really good idea.
Avery walks back toward the house, as Denise wanders to the stables. The sounds of horses filled the stables as Denise moved along the row of stalls that held different horses. She comes to one that is solid black except for a small patch of white on the chest. Denise pets it on the nose and it neighs quietly, and nudges her. Denise smiles and leads it out of the stall and places a saddle on it's back and leads it outside. Denise hops up onto the creatures back and is soon putting it into a full canter.
Denise: (Voice Over) I don't even know where to start this time around. Everyone has been thrown into this match and I have to say that it isn't going to be easy. It's a war of sorts and there can only be one winner. It's funny when I really think about it, and look around these beautiful fields. This country is still ripped apart by war that wages on between it's own people. The IRA and the southern part of Ireland will always battle. It doesn't matter what it's over there will always be war of some kind in all parts of the world. But even before the war between the IRA and the rest of Ireland, there were wars of Revolution between the Brits and the Normans. Bruce the Conquer came to these shores a long time ago and brought the people to their knees, only to be over thrown once again by the people of Ireland.
Denise moves through the lush rolling hills and soon comes across one of the many ruins that littered the country side. She dismounts and lets the horse graze on the grass as she explores.
Denise: The only two that I'm really out to get is Oblivion and Ana. Ana you know why I'm out to get you, and I plan on doing whatever I have to do to bring your little ass down, and get what I truly deserve. The bounty on your head still hasn't been claimed and I plan on getting it after this match. I know it's an over the top match, and I plan on tossing you out, along with anyone else that stands in my way. I know that you can't be please for what happened after our match last week, and I have to say that I was surprised that your little friends decided to turn on you. It was a wonderful sight if nothing else. This week it's everyone for themselves and that is why I know you will stop at nothing to make sure that I go down as well. But when all is said and done I will be the last one standing, and with the Title in my hand. Tell me Ana what will you do to stop me? How far will you go to get your hands on that little gold bauble? I'm going to do whatever it takes to get my hands on what truly belongs to me.
Denise enters the remains of the church and looks up the clear blue sky and sighs. The time for the match was drawing closer and she had just a few days to train for this massive match, and hope that she would last just long enough to get to the last two.
Denise: Oblivion I still can't figure out why you did what you did to Night Rider and myself. I thought we were friends, and that I could actually trust you. The two of us conquered others that had stood before us and yet you turn against me. We could have conquered the WCF if you would have stayed with us Oblivion but yet you walked away after destroying us. I hope you know what you've done will bring you to an end, and kill any chance of you getting to the end of this match, and getting your hands on that title. To anyone else that is going to be in this match all I have to say is that I'm not going to back down from anything that any of you have to throw at me. I've faced most of you, and I have beaten some of you more than once, and I don't plan on losing this match. If any of you are smart you won't show up for this match, and realize that I'm really better then all of you. The Death Bringer comes and she comes for you. See you soon.
Denise walks up the stone steps that wound up toward what was left of one of the towers. As she reaches the top she looks out over the vast fields that stretched out before her. This match wasn't going to be easy but she would do whatever had to be done to get that title. She stares off to the horizon with her long hair blowing in the wind, as the scene fades to black.
Woman: Denise? What in hell are you doing here?
Denise: I could ask the same about you Avery. I thought you were traveling the world.
Avery: I am, but we decided to take a break before we head back to the states.
