A few days ago, with anticipation of the first 2013 edition of XIII near it's peak, WCF/EPPW Wrestler and People's Champion FPV posted an unannounced and unexpected AMA on Reddit. AMA's (shorthand for Ask Me Anything) are where members of Reddit post questions they would like whoever is doing the AMA to answer. They are typically used by celebrities to either promote a recent project or to just interact with their fans, however, they usually announce it ahead of time. It seems that FPV was acting on his own accord posting the AMA. Another interesting thing about his post was on the board he posted on...r/Christianity, the resident board for Christians to come and talk about their faith. Excerpts from the AMA are posted below.
I am Frank Patrick Venable, current wrestler for the WCF (cause fuck that EPPW noise.) AMA!
FPV: Good day to you folks here at r/Christianity, in case you are not familiar with who I am, let me bring you up to speed. 2X WCF Tag Team Champion, 2X WCF US Champion, 2X and Current WCF People's champion, 1x WCF World Champion. I think that's everything, so correct me if I'm wrong. So yeah, this Friday I will wrestling against one Steeltoe Joe, or as I've come to call him, the Boudle-Christ (think anti-christ just more jackassy.) It'll be an Unholy Baptism match, so...yah! AMA!
rtdangler: Holy Cow, since when did this guy show up?!
--->FPV: Since about five minutes ago!
lil'jimmyismyhero: Well this is certainly a surprise. I guess I gotta ask the obvious question...why post this in r/Christianity and not just go to r/AMA, you'd probably get a whole lot more exposure there.
--->FPV: First off, love the username. Secondly, you're right, I'd probably of gotten more people on r/AMA, but I decided to come here because I believe with the whole Joe situation at the moment, that it just made since. That and I didn't want you guys to get the wrong message, I'm not against Christianity, I'm just against the Christianity Joe preaches.
TheyCallMeSpartacus: Mr. Venable, do you consider yourself religious at all? Not just Christianity, but ANY religion?
--->FPV: That's a good question. I guess my response is that I don't follow up on it much (I don't go to church) but I also don't mind it. I suppose I just like to mix and match all the different viewpoints and such into something that's my own. Sorry about the weird response, not used to talking bout religion like this, heh.
ForeverFaithful: Just what exactly is an Unholy Baptism match? It sounds...dangerous.
--->FPV: Basically the point of it is to shove the face of your opponent into a nearby pool of water for ten seconds. Simple.
------>ForeverFaithful: Lemme guess, you tried to convince them to fill the pool with something like Bleach, right?
--------->FPV: Pretty much, yeah.
Disciple#2055: I apologize if I may seem blockheaded (Idon't watch wrestling) but why exactly do you describe Mr. Joseph with such disparage?
--->FPV: Let me tell you all the ways with which this man makes my blood boil. This man was one I once called my friend, a good one at that! He acted like how I believed every good Christian did. And then, all of a fucking sudden (pardon my french) he just pulled a complete Westboro Baptist, y'know what I'm saying? He just...changed, man. It's like how people describe their old neighbor right after he commits some terrible crime "He just seemed so nice. What happened?" That's pretty much how I was for a long time after Joe betrayed me. I've had people betray me before, but with Joe it just kind of stung a bit more because he was literally the last person I'd ever expect to call my enemy.
So I decided after a while of watching him just destroy the old image I had of him (he was becoming very disrespectful towards the fans, something he picked up with his new "friend" Eric Price no doubt) I just decided I had had enough. I was going to bring this man DOWN. I know Christ taught to love thy enemy and such, but after dealing with Joe...that just isn't an option at this point. If I were a serious Christian, I would be completely offended by the downright sham Joe goes about portraying every week on Slam. Joe is a PARODY of what many people consider Christians, and I KNOW that that isn't true, because I've known a good bit of people in my life who were the GOOD Christians that Jesus no doubt had hoped you would be. But Joe...I don't say these words lightly, and if you don't understand what the word means, you can go ahead an google it, but here it is...I believe with every bone in my body that Steeltoe Joe makes the Jesus Christ you all know and love look like a boudle. And I know you guys don't believe that, do you?
------>timmy3:16: wow, this joe guy sounds like a total douche
--------->FPV: You have NO IDEA, Timmy. No idea at all.
JesusFreak: If you could wrestle any historical figure, who would it be?
--->FPV: Hmmm...I suppose that Teddy Roosevelt would put up a REALLY Good fight. Otherwise...I'd say Napolean. Because he's just like Joe, a tiny pathetic excuse for a man with an ego the size of Jerusalem.
#1Bouudle: what does logans DIK TASTE LIKE HOMO
--->FPV: Like the tears of your English teacher.
WaitingOnASaviour: Do you think that this Joe guy can possibly be saved? In any way?
--->FPV: You want my honest answer? No. Not at fucking all. He is beyond saving at this point. And it's all his fault. Quote me on that.
It is at this point when FPV logged off of Reddit, ending the AMA.
