"Following the hellacious TLC Match between Jay Price and Eric Price at Revenge, we can officially confirm that Jay Price was rushed to the nearby Bellevue Hospital. Early reports are still coming in and nothing has been confirmed by the hospital, but the early word is that Price's shoulder was badly separated and that he may have suffered a concussion. With his history of neck and head injuries, one can only speculate on the impact this will have on the career of Price. As always we will continue to bring you information on this story as it becomes readily available to us."

@ EricPrice
I'd like to take this opportunity and I will do so once again on Slam this Sunday to congratulate Jay Price on putting up a hell of a fight at Revenge. I know it was painful and bloody but it was one of the best matches I've had in recent memory. Jay ... I wish you all the best and hope you get better soon and are back competing as soon as you are able. Know that despite our animosity, I respect you and your job here in EPPW is secure. #GetWellSoonJayPrice #EricPriceIsFairLeadership

via EPPW.com"In an update on the current condition of former EPPW United States Champion Jay Price, EPPW.com has learned that earlier today the doctors at Bellevue Hospital held a short press conference for members of the media where they discussed his injuries and set out a timetable for his return. We apologize for the lateness of this report, however EPPW was apparently left off the invite list by accident. Below you'll find video from the press conference." - - - - - - - - - - We open with a shot of the inside of a small conference room that is currently jam packed with reporters and cameramen. At the front of the room is a small table where two men in white doctor coats are seated, currently in the midst of a deep conversation with each other. As the clock strikes 12pm, the last few members of the press scurry into the conference room, the last pulling the door shut behind them. The first of the doctors clears his throat and then pulls the nearby microphone closer to him. Dr. Timothy Brown: "Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, my name is Dr. Timothy Brown, and I am the lead Orthopedic Surgeon currently attending to EPPW wrestler Jayson Allen Price, also known as Jay Price. With me today for this press conference is Dr. Robert Hall, our resident neurosurgeon. We have prepared a statement on the condition of Mr. Price and then we will be ending this press conference without taking any questions."Dr. Brown pauses to take a drink of water before continuing. He then raises up a small remote and points it at the projector hanging from the ceiling, flipping it on. An image from the Revenge PPV appears on the white wall behind the doctors: Jay Price crawling from the splintered remains of two tables following a fall off of a ladder, his left arm appearing limp at his side. Dr. Timothy Brown: "For those that were not aware of the events that transpired last night, Mr. Price took part in a match of extreme brutality. At one point during this match, Mr. Price and a fellow wrestler were atop of a ladder that was near the edge of the wrestling ring when it tipped over, sending both men crashing through a pair of tables that were set up outside of the ring. When Mr. Price landed on these tables and subsequently fell through them, he did so in a rather awkward manner in which the majority of his weight landed on his left shoulder."Dr. Brown clicks the remote again and we get a close-up of Price at the moment of impact. A third picture is then shown and we see clearly that Price landed on the shoulder. Dr. Timothy Brown: "It was at this point that, in my professional opinion, Mr. Price suffered a mere dislocation of the shoulder. Now this is merely speculation, due to the fact that the match was allowed to continue despite the obvious injury. Further damage was then caused throughout the remainder of the match including..."Dr. Brown begins to cycle through a series of images. Dr. Brown: "Repeated blows to the shoulder area..."Click. Dr. Brown: "...blunt force trauma administered with a foreign object..."Click. Dr. Brown: "...yet another awkward landing following a fall from the top rope..."Click. Dr. Brown: "...and finally, a second fall off a ladder that concluded with the patient being put through a table."Dr. Brown leaves up the image of Price laying in the midst of a splintered table as he pauses to take a drink of water. Dr. Brown: "Due to the continued assault to the patient's shoulder, the severity of the injury was greatly increased and it is my unfortunate duty to report that at this time Mr. Price has a Class Five Shoulder Separation and a small hairline fracture in the clavicle."There is a murmur in the crowd as reporters begin to scribble down things in their notepads. Dr. Brown: "Now for those unsure of the different classifications of shoulder separations, I have a diagram here illustrating what Mr. Price's shoulder currently looks like."Dr. Brown: "What we're dealing with here is the patient's trapezial and deltoid fascia have stripped off of the acromion as well as the clavicle. With an injury of this nature the only course of action that we can take is surgery to repair the damaged areas and then reattach them."Reporter: "Excuse me doctor, but what sort of recovery period are we looking at here?"Dr. Brown: "Sir, I'll ask you to keep your questions for the end of the press conference. We're currently working with Mr. Price on setting up a date for surgery as soon as possible. Once completed, we will be looking at a recovery period of eight to twelve weeks, followed by a minimum of eight weeks of physical therapy, although with the profession of the patient being as extreme as it is, I will be recommending he go for a period of twelve weeks."Dr. Brown pauses to allow the reporters to catch up with his notes. Dr. Brown: "So in answer to the question that was directed to me, I currently estimate Mr. Price's recovery period to last no less than sixteen weeks, with the possibility of up to six months."There's a bit of a commotion as hands are raised in the crowd. Dr. Brown: "However, that is merely my portion of this press conference. I will now turn it over to my colleague, Dr. Robert Hall."Dr. Brown slides the microphone over to Dr. Hall as the cameras in the room switch to him. Dr. Hall: "As many or at least some of you know, Mr. Price suffered a fractured cervical vertebrae, two herniated disks and a severely pulled neck muscle in January of 2010. Two years later, Mr. Price again suffered a fractured cervical vertebrae, three separate herniated disks and a small crack in his skull. I was not directly involved with the treatment of either incident, however after looking over the patient's medical history and the notes from the doctors treating patient, I've determined that the patient should have been told to quit his profession while he still had the ability to walk."There's a loud murmur from the crowd as again hands shoot up. Dr. Hall: "Forgive me if I'm coming off as being a bit crass, however to me it's clear that the patient's health has been mishandled by doctors that did not have his best interests at heart. Now then, after examining the patient, I have determined that Mr. Price suffered a stinger and a concussion following the two separate falls off of the ladder and through tables. These injuries, while no laughing matter, would normally not raise too many red flags, however as a medical professional I cannot ignore the fact that this is Mr. Price's fourth concussion since he began his professional wrestling career. With this is mind, coupled with the repeated trauma endured by his head, neck and spine, I've determined that following Mr. Price's recovery from the surgery on his shoulder, he will not be cleared to resume wrestling. I cannot in good faith allow him to continue to risk his well being."More hands shoot up in the crowd as Dr. Hall surveys the room. Dr. Hall: "I understand that there may be some negative reactions to my decision, however I must insist that this is in his best interests. Thank you."Dr. Hall pushes his chair away from the table and walks away as Dr. Brown pulls the microphone back toward him. Dr. Brown: "Thank you all for your time, please drive home safely."Dr. Brown stands up from the table and walks off leaving behind a confused group of reporters. - - - - - - - - - - "As it stands the only definite timetable we were able to find out from that press conference is sixteen to twenty weeks, which includes both recover from surgery and therapy on the damaged ligaments and muscle. However it seems as if the neurosurgeon is refusing to clear Jay to return to the ring after the recovery time due to his past history of neck and spine injuries and the concussion he suffered at Revenge, the fourth of his career. We will continue to bring you more information as it becomes available to us."

via EPPW.com "Following the bombshell dropped by doctors that Jay Price is facing up to six months of recovery time for his shoulder injury along with the uncertainty of whether not his most recent concussion will keep him out of the ring for good, we can now confirm that the lead Orthopedic Surgeon at Bellevue Hospital, Dr. Timothy Brown, has scheduled for Jay to go under the knife tomorrow at 1pm. The surgery should last no more than two hours if everything goes as it should and Jay should be able to leave the hospital to return to his home in Philadelphia as long as Dr. Robert Hall, the Neurosurgeon that is holding Jay's career in his hands, determines he's clear of all post-concussion symptoms. Ahead of tomorrow's surgery, Jay finally broke his silence with a single post to his Twitter account." Jay Price ?@realjayprice I've always lived a life of no regrets and at a time like this many wonder if I am ready to apologize for it. Keep on dreaming. #OnMyTerms

via EPPW.com"Three days after the scheduled surgery on the left shoulder of Jay Price, EPPW.com has finally gotten the latest words from the injured former United States Champion." Jay Price ?@realjayprice To quote the immortal Queen "Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?" "Those close to Price who have visited him both at the hospital and at home since the surgery have noted that his demeanor seems optimistic yet knowing. As it has been reported, Price is facing at least six months of recovery and rehabilitation before his shoulder will be back to 100%. Following that his career is still in jeopardy as the lead neurosurgeon working his case has stated that he will not allow Price to resume wrestling after sustaining his fourth concussion in less than four years on top of his previous neck injuries."

XIII.com
In light of recent reports, Corey Black has a statement regarding Jay Price's match at XIII.
"It's funny, you know. I give the guy this high profile match.. I guess you're just going to have to trust me on that, but I give him this match without even asking. Out of the goodness of my heart, I grant Jay Price a match at XIII. I don't do that for everyone, obviously, but here he is, injured. That doesn't bother me. Jay Price WILL fight at XIII, broken arm, broken leg, broken frickin' neck, I don't care. His manhood will be in question until he comes forth and says he has the nuts to go to Minneapolis and fight in what could very well be the best match of the night."

@realjayprice
My manhood is in question? I'm not going to risk destroying my shoulder for some cheap throwaway match in your little Minnesota bingo hall. You might not realize it since you've got your head buried in IWF's crotch, but I actually had something going on here and I intend on resuming it ASAP.

Jay Price ?@realjayprice Despite whatever rumors may be circulating throughout the internet dirt sheets, I will not be appearing at CD's XIII PPV. I understand his feelings about not wanting to cancel his co-main event, but I'm not risking my body for a throwaway match against whatever nobody he dug up from the past. I will, however, be appearing this Sunday night at Slam to address some business, so if Black wants to address me personally rather than from behind a keyboard, he's more than welcome.

Jay Price ?@realjayprice For those questioning my no show at Slam after promising to show up and talk about my injury, I was detained at the airport after security found my pain pills. Apparently having your prescription and a doctor's note, along with the hideous scars of surgery, isn't enough to save you from the TSA. #StillFeelingViolated
