With the date fast approaching, WCF.com has gotten word that Odin Balfores Contract is set to expire in the beginning of May and the WCF office is hesitant if not just uninterested in resigning balfore for ANY length of time. His Contract disputes on Twitter with WCF CEO Jonny Fly are well documented and are a strong indication that so such contractual dealings will be made. When reached for comment WCF CEO had this to say:
" I'm done with him." - WCF CEO
Word around the grapevine is that the vast majority of talent isnt happy with Odins conduct as of late, essentially holding WCF hostage for a larger pay increase, far beyond the given 15%. It is also noted that with a 2.8 rating and WCF expansion, that a pay raise for Odin would cause serious harm to the company, if not sink it. Even with WCF making the switch off of Prime time and going to exclusive programming, the cost in savings in regards to Odins Contact would be minimal at best. WCF.com got in contact with Odin Balfore to get his thoughts on the matter.
" WCF has been around 13 years pulling public access and branching out to regional areas. I've been here for two years and have the star power to attract a global audience. Its a f*cking joke that Fly wants to pull off of TV and where the money is being made and go to net flicks. I'm not sure if thats true or not but it better not be. I've been here for two years and havent been booked properly. Although I'm sure I'll take the heat for the ratings, Look at the people who are carrying the ball. I bounced WCF back from going under single handedly before and now they don't want to invest in their future. F*cking sad. "

When asked about the 2.8 jump, responded with this:
" There is over 12 million people in pen state. Hell you can pull a 1 point just with local programing. A 2.8 nationally is abysmal. I'm not sure about the PPV numbers but clearly even with that 'jump', WCF programming still isnt doing well at all. Could be the booking or could be the management, most likely its both. "
We asked odin about his 60% increase verse Eric Price and Odins refusal for the match, essentially getting everything he wanted but still turned it down.
" My contract is not a gimmick. If WCF wants to turn this ship around and sail for paradise, it has to invest and they refuse. WCF is banking on a steady 2.8? I know Flys been around a while so why he feels thats ok is beyond me. EP and Twilight arnt getting the job done, simple fact. Don't book me to try and boost the ratings and tempt yourself with the favor of booking wrong and your ratings plummet. Fans arnt tuning it to see EP win or lose so why is he still champion? No ones tuning in to see Twilight win or lose, why is she being booked to headline? If either were as popular we wouldnt be having this discussion, don't don't let anyone fool you. If WCF wants to expand and do something more then wrestling in Reading, they gotta book. EP and Twilight just arnt it. "
When asked about what WCF thinks about his actions, Odin replied:
" I know everyone hates me. I don't give a sh*t. WCF needs to quit being blind and wake up to the fact that as much as I'm hated, that equals money. Much more money then EP and Twilight and keeping me in mid card as to not upset them because i quote ' had my time' is f*cking bullshit. And if no one likes it, they should all be cut. Resign Balfore or enjoy your meager 2.8 and EP pee pants and Twilight who arnt drawing you a dime past broke even. Its that simple "
So there you have it. A clear line in the sand has been draw and right now we know where both parties stand. Odin on one side, WCF on the other and no one is giving in any time soon. Could this be the end of Odin Balfore in WCF? Most would hope so.
