What can you do with the internet? A rumor had floated that a Wrestling Championship Federation video game was available for download. Days later, the video game was found on an internet forum, speculating that it's true. It is simply a modified version of WWF WrestleMania the Arcade Game, where the background, character roster and music were simply edited and changed. Instead of digitized sprites, characters were simply simillar to a Street Fighter look, but are originally created. The character roster has been listed below:
-Gravedigger
-Brad Kane
-Corey Black
-Logan
-Skyler Striker
-Jay Price
-Doc Henry
-Oblivion
Soundtrack involves all entrance themes, including the Slam theme. However, commentary has been cut out. Three modes were feautered: WCF World Championship, United States Championship and Tag Team Championship (for 2 players only in arcade mode, 4 players in VS mode). The ring simply represents all past arenas, from XIII to Explodion to War to Timebomb. This game is playable on the PC and Mac OS. Unlike the original game created by Acclaim, characters such as Brad Kane and Corey Black can change into their alter-egos such as Reckless Jack and Creeping Death, but this is only achieved after winning the game once as them.
WCF have yet to take action on this news as this could suspect a lawsuit.

Having just learned of this situation you can all be assured that I will do everything in my power to get this unauthorized and illegal game taken off of the market.
No WCF wrestler should have their name or likeness used without their permission and we will be looking into taking every possible action to ensure that future instances do not occur.

After WCF had took legal action, the game had finally been taken down, though this had given negative feedback.
Before the game had been taken down, reviews for this modified game were positive. IGN had stated that 'the character sprites were well animated and the gameplay was fast paced and fluid.' and that 'another sequel was expected with more characters'. Gamespot had also praised the game for its variety of costumes and characters. Also a heavy metal soundtrack in the game which adds more intensity.
After taking the game down, fans have began to release the game through e-mail sending. Others began to criticize the actions the WCF management have made against this cult following.
WCF management have yet to respond to this new piece of news.

An update has changed in the game. Characters, their models and arenas have been altered, but soundtrack has been changed as well.
The characters have been changed to these names:
-The Mortician (originally Gravedigger)
-Justice Jones (originally Brad Kane)
-Hellcrawler (originally Corey Black)
-Canadian Wolverine (originally Logan)
-Air Attack Weasel (originally Skyler Striker)
-Joey Kickass (originally Jay Price)
-Six Shooter (originally Doc Henry)
-Nightmare King (originally Oblivion)
The WCF arena is changed to the Awesome Wrestling Alliance arena. A new game mode has been updated called 'Battle Royal', where current members of the game's roster and several unnamed and unplayable ones (which resemble almost all members of the roster. From Cryboy McEmo to Eric Price to Seth Lerch (now known as Sethcretary)) face each other in a 30-man battle royal, which had garnered attention from WCF fans alike.
