This just in, WCF has been informed that they have found a mysterious tape recorder outside the door of attack victim, and Genesis stable member, Roy Speede. Officials searched the tape for finger prints of who might have committed the attack, yet the recorder came back negative of finger prints or any DNA samples. After the evaluation, officials played what was recorded.

Roy Speede, the victim of said attack, had made an appearance on the most recent edition of Slam, during which his ribs were taped heavily. However, he claimed a training accident as the cause, and failed to issue any sort of comment on the attack at the Pay-Per-View. However, WCF Reporters caught up with Mister Speede after Slam, where his thoughts on the attack, and subsequently the recording that had been played and released to the public, were asked.
Roy Speede: "Honestly, I think I get what's going on. It's just business, just like it's always been, and someone has it out for the top dogs in this company. I'm not talking about those pompous oafs who sit behind their desks and run the company as a group called Pantheon, and I'm not talking about the 'gracious' World Champ, Eric Price. People have grown to realize that Genesis is here to stay, and that we're not going to be taken down very easily. We've expanded, and now our ranks include Tek and Steeltoe Joe, and with Franky returning to the fold, we're seven wrestlers strong, and people realize we're a threat to anyone and everyone in the entire company."
Later on in the interview, he addressed the issue further.
Roy Speede: "Going back to the thought that I was the first one attacked, it shows a few things. One, it's either someone who's become a rival of mine over the years or someone who realizes that I'm only a short time away from becoming the biggest name in the company. Two, when I am cleared to compete again, I will have a new mission set in front of me as opposed to worrying about getting back the Hardcore Title that's rightfully mine, thus sparing Doc Henry, Nathan Von Liebert, and whomever else sets foot in my way of that belt for the time being. Three, someone is looking to get their ass kicked, and they've found just the person to do it. And Four, somebody is going to get lit the hell up. And it won't be pretty."
In closing, he had this to say...
Roy Speede: "Let it be whoever it is that attacked me; I don't care. It could be Jesus Christ for all I care; all I know, is that I shall yet find my revenge, and when I find out who attacked me, that person is going to get LIT UP."
