Scoutmaster Stuart Slane is cooling his heels in the FedFex Forums Trainer's Room, which WCF has taken over during their broadcast of the February 3 edition of Sunday Night Slam. He is still in his sweat soaked ring gear, and his head is swathed in bandages. An ice pack rests atop his skull, held in place by more dressing. He speaks:
"Tonight's main event convinced me more than ever that the Pantheon Administration needs to go. They are abusing their authority in order to make themselves the focal point of the Wrestling Championship Federation, despite not a single one of them holding a title. They book matches to deliberately handicap their opponents- witness how Genesis was used by them as a distraction, a buffer, and ultimately a sacrifice, in order to deny me a victory that was rightfully mine. I'm tired of Jonny Fly and his stooges strutting around the WCF like they're the cocks of the walk, their smug faces lit up with so much glee because, once again, they've put one over on Scoutmaster Stuart Slane and the rest of Right America."
Stuart leans over to pick up something off camera. He drags back the United States Championship Belt, which he affixes to his shoulder.
"This ends now. Pantheon wants to bigfoot me? Fine. Two can play at that game, and I assure everyone listening my size fifteen boot is more than up to the task. Jonny Fly, this message is explicitly for you. It's come to my attention that I am to face your homunculus Jay Price at Payback for my US Title. This is despite having already defended my championship twice in the past three weeks, and, despite him being an undeserving wretch who should have his title shot STRIPPED for the liberties he took in the ring tonight."
Scoutmaster gestures to his swaddled melon for effect.
"So this is what you are going to do, Mister Fly. You are going to cancel my match with Jay Price at Payback. The little goon can sit and stew a little bit longer. A wait will be a learning experience for him. For all of Pantheon really. It will be a reminder that you don't control everything in the Wrestling Championship Federation, and that there can be severe consequences if you take others for granted."
"You have until next week's episode of Slam to cancel the match, Mister Fly. Fail to meet that deadline, and watch me destroy your fledgling empire as easily as one presses a button."
Stuart holds up his left forefinger, and slowly, ominously, repeatedly crooks it.
And, scene.
