Jonny Fly to Meet with WCF Board of Directors
By: Scoops Callahan
When reached by telephone this morning, WCF's administrative secretary, Seth Cretary, informed me that Jonny Fly will be meeting today with the WCF Board of Directors. The topic of discussion at the meeting is said to be a course of action for the company to take in wake of Eric Price's actions at Slam. Price, the WCF World Champion, had his contract expire overnight and was able to escape the Dunkin' Donuts Center without forfeiting his belt over to company personnel.
Fly is said to be "beyond pissed" at the situation and is looking for a quick resolution. Sources close to the WCF Owner have reported that nothing is off-limits right now, including all methods of legal and even non-legal actions to retrieve the companies top prize. One item that may be discussed at the meeting; officially stripping Eric Price of the title. As an aside, Fly is noted to hold grudges and willing to go to extreme lengths to make examples out of individuals. This situation is far from resolved.
Fly spent last night at a Providence, Rhode Island hospital at the bedside of former WCF Champion and Pantheon stable-mate Jeff Purse before heading back to Reading this morning for his meeting. Purse was run down by a car in the parking lot as he was on the verge of a rematch against Eric Price. WCF and Providence officials are looking into the incident. As of this point, nobody knows for sure who was responsible.
