Location: GEW Arena, 8 days before Shoot to Thrill WCF Edition
"The reason WCF would affiliate itself with such filth is beyond me."
Visual feed follows, and viewers find themselves at the viewpoint of a chosen follower of Oblivion. Unlike last week, though, our "cameraman" is wearing glasses with the camera installed into the centerpiece. Such covert tactics could only mean one thing; this man was a spy for Oblivion. That mattered little though; this spy wasn't infiltrating an important location. He was merely at a GEW show.
"Then why are you here, if we're such filth."
Those words were spoken by the man seated to the left of the spy. Camera view shifts as the spy turns towards the man who questioned him. This man, his appearance unimportant, wore not overalls, but a GEW merchandise shirt with Kid Phantasm on the front of it. The viewers might have "popped" at this sight, but the spy's reaction was that of contempt.
"I have a job to do, whether or not I enjoy it."
The spy brings forward his "job" into the camera view; a clipboard. Viewers should be able to realize what this man's job was. Well, unless those viewers were from Louisiana. Because this man facing the spy couldn't figure it out.
"What job is that?"
"I'm a wrestling scout, you nitwit."
It seems this GEW fan didn't know what nitwit meant, because he merely ignored that statement.
"Wrestling scout? If you a scout, ya must know who Kid Phantasm is."
A bad question for the spy. Inside, he was seething; in the sermons from the Great Lord, all members of Pantheon were hated like no other hate. But his beliefs couldn't be revealed in a place like this; he'd be like a Jew at a Nazi convention. Better be neutral in this instance. So he merely shrugs, shifting the camera up and down once with his movements.
"I've seen a few of his matches, yes. Last I heard of him, he was in Japan somewhere."
"Where eva he is now, it don't matter. Next week, he'll be back in GEW. I'm sure of it."
The spy knew this of course; only an idiot would have any doubt that Phantasm would return to the GEW ring for the supershow next week. But to learn a little more from this man, if that was possible, the spy continued his conversation with this man. The matches up this point were excruciating painful to watch, so this maybe be more entertaining.
"Why do you think Phantasm would return to this ring after making a bigger name in better companies?"
"Ain't no better federation than GEW. Ya actually think WCF would send their best wrestlers here if this place won't good?"
"They're sending a few wrestlers, sure, but they are not the best. You honestly think the 8th Wonder is the best WCF has to offer?"
"Well, naw. Corey Black and that hot Sarah Twilight gonna be here, though. Can ya get better than that?"
"Nathan von Liebert was not booked. I just got better."
The moment of truth; the spy was going to learn what this GEW man thought of his elder.
"That bastard? Next time he and Phantasm faces off, Kid gonna demolish him."
The spy couldn't help but chuckle at this. Not because of the ridiculous prediction, but because the man said bastard. The man was probably a literal one himself. The spy is prepared to retort when his conversation partner turns to the ring in total shock. The camera shifts back to the camera too, and this time the viewers probably do pop. Because standing in the ring was Nightmare and Kid Phantasm in the flesh.
"I've got to go."
The spy stands, tucking his clipboard under arm, reaching into his pocket as he exits the aisle; No one notices his exit; two of the most popular wrestlers ever to step into that ring. He pulls his cellphone out, typing a quick message with the keyboard, and sending it to the number given to him in case this occurred. His master had expected this to happen; his intelligence was impressive. The spy was merely the messenger. And his message had been sent. His mission was complete.
The Elements are coming, the Elements are coming!
~Paul
The reply was swift, forcing Paul to wait only moments. The message was clear.
Your warning is heeded. Pass along the word. For next week, they must be prepared for the shot heard 'round the world.
