[As the scene fades in, we see a young-ish man with a receeding hairline wearing a vintage sportcoat. Behind him is a wall-sized banner reading 'GLOBAL EXTREME WRESTLING'... the microphone in his hand reads 'GEW'. We are obviously in the GEW Arena's press booth... and this man would be none other than the Voice of GEW, Mr. Boomer Brown.]
Boomer Brown: Hello everyone out there in the WCF Universe... for those of you who aren't acquainted with me, I'm the Voice of Global Extreme Wrestling, Boomer Brown. And I am coming to you from the GEW Arena in muggy Marrero, Louisiana, just a few short miles from downtown New Orleans!
[Cut to an aerial shot of the nighttime New Orleans skyline. After a second, we cut back to Boomer in his booth.]
Boomer Brown: First, I'd like to give a tremendous thanks to WCF's CEO Mr. Seth Lerch for bailing GEW out a few months ago, and sending down visiting WCF superstars - you have kept the GEW Arena sold out, sir, and we have had some of the greatest shows in our company's short history because of it! In the last few months we've seen WCF Superstars like Gravedigger, Tommy Kain, Doc Henry, Tek and Steeltoe Joe, Johnny Reb, Steve Orbit, Oblivion, Waylon Cash... and of course our old friends the Unstable Elements! All of them have at one point or another taken the GEW Arena to the extreme, and we've enjoyed every minute of it!
[He smiles a bit, but then the broadcaster's face becomes quite serious.]
Boomer Brown: This week, we here at Global Extreme Wrestling began negotiating a deal with the Wrestling Championship Federation to have a cross-promotional event of a size we've never seen here in GEW... and in the GEW ARENA, no less! GEW fans, WCF fans, we are pleased to make this announcement:
[He coughs briefly, then begins speaking with extreme zeal.]
Boomer Brown: On Sunday, September 16th... live from the 'Arena, Global Extreme Wrestling and the Wrestling Championship Federation will present SHOOT TO THRILL 2012!
Boomer Brown: WOW! Really?
[The hand makes a 'thumbs up' gesture, then leaves view.]
Boomer Brown: Holy cow, alright! We are also pleased to announce the first two matches for the event, still three weeks away- first, this is one that should interest die-hard GEW fans and WCF fans alike! Two men who've both visited the GEW Arena... two men who have both teamed with GEW fan favorites the Mothership Connection... at Shoot to Thrill 2012 we will see a one on one wrestling contest between "The Mack" Steve Orbit and Waylon Cash! Cash has made two devastating appearances in the GEW Arena on his way to winning the WCF World Title... Steve Orbit put on a wrestling clinic for us in his visit last month, and he's held gold for almost his entire WCF career! They're two of WCF's fastest rising stars, and on Sunday September 16th we'll see them square off in the GEW Arena!
Boomer Brown: This one is a match every wrestling fan on planet Earth should want to tune in for, fans- one on one in the GEW Arena, it's the monstrous Oblivion taking on WCF Hall of Famer Corey Black! Two legends of the ring fighting? Anybody can put that match on- Seth Lerch and Ricky Richards have gotten together to put two of the most brutal human beings to ever set foot in the WCF together in a match, then put it in the GEW Arena! That's a f****** accomplishment! Pantheon vs. Church of Dark Saints? Sure, whatever- this is two legends of blood-letting in the kind of place where that sort of thing happens!
Boomer Brown: Also, our friend over at the WCF, Renegade Reporter Lucien Hicks, has reported that the Unstable Elements, Kid Phantasm and Nightmare, have recently reunited in WCF and will be here in GEW for Shoot to Thrill 2012!
We do hope you'll tune in for GEW's first major cross-promotional event. We're not your everyday wrestling, but we hope you'll find a place in your heart... for a little bit of extreme.
