Cameras Fade In:
Scene opens back up to "Sweet" Willy Carter telling good ol' Chuck Watson the story of Johnny Craven and his "they" that he talks about. Carter and Watson are both still on top of the same building, enjoying their beers.
"Sweet" Willy Carter: Anyways....if you read the history that WCF has on Johnny Craven, then you'd know that he was jumped by a gang of ruthless bikers and then left for dead. Afterwards, he took to hiding...
As "Sweet" Willy Carter is telling Chuck Watson the story, a video is shown, giving visual aid to everything that Carter is telling Watson.
Chuck Watson: What exactly was it that he was hiding from? Yo momma? (laughs) Man I'm sorry...keep going.
"Sweet" Willy Carter: I don't really know what or who he was hiding from....whether it was from the public or his own demons....I really don't know...but what I do know is that he eventually came out from hiding.
Chuck Watson: How'd he get a hold of the bike?
"Sweet" Willy Carter: Wait a minute jackass...you're gettin too far ahead of me. Now...as I said before, he took to hiding. From what I had heard, he was haunted by his visions and flashbacks of what happened when he was mugged...and that's what I think he was truly hiding from...he feared it could happen again. I do know that during his time of concealment from society, he was often times in and out of mental facilities. I've seen copies of the records of his visits. According to the records, while he was in the facilities....he began to have real bad anger problems. They would treat him and then release him quickly, for fear for the safety of the other patients. They eventually quit allowing him to come back because his anger was too much for just about anyone to handle.
Chuck Watson: Shouldn't have pissed him off so much...damn orderlies.
"Sweet" Willy Carter: Anywho...as his history states...his anger fueled his yearn and passion for revenge...revenge at the bikers who jumped him...revenge at his childhood...possibly revenge against the world. You see...all his life, he was basically looked at as an outcast....why, I don't know...but that's just how it was...and to an extent, still is. When his parents learned of his mugging, they knew that it was going to be a lot of money to get him out of the hospital. They feared that his mugging would eventually lead to him getting into more trouble, and cost a lot more money to fix, and they didn't think that they had the income to handle that...therefore, in their minds...they thought the best thing for themselves, as well as for Craven, would be to skip town and leave Craven at the hospital, in hopes that someone would take him in. The only thing they left him, before they left, was a bike...the same Harley he rides now.
Chuck Watson: I can't believe his parents would leave him like that....those bastards abandoned him man....sorry assholes!
"Sweet" Willy Carter: OK...calm down man...now where was I? Oh yeah...we were talking about his bike. Once he was released from the hospital, he was left all alone. All he had was his bike...and so, he took to riding. The only thing is....he only rode at night, for some reason......I've never really known why. The only sure thing that is known is that he was dead set on hunting down those bikers who jumped him.
Chuck Watson: How did he get his gang? I mean...who the hell would want to follow a biker who rides at night?
"Sweet" Willy Carter: The Shadow Riders...
Chuck Watson: The who? The Shadow Riders? Oh you have got to be kidding me man....
"Sweet" Willy Carter: The Shadow Riders...or Dark Riders as they are sometimes called....are but mere outcasts like Johnny Craven. They roam the streets at night in search of their unfinished business with the world. They often times consider themselves to be self employed bounty hunters...just what I've heard...I really don't know much about the gang, but somehow or another...Craven wound up as their leader...go figure...
Chuck Watson: That's it? That's how he got his gang? Geez...what a rip-off....I thought this story was going to be good...instead, it really s--
"Sweet" Willy Carter: (Interrupting Watson) Before you go any further Chuck...let me finish the story. From what I've gathered from Craven himself....he really doesn't know how he got his gang. The way he tells it....he would search bars at night too...in hopes of finding those who mugged him. Of course, if you're Johnny Craven, you don't go into a bar without getting into a brawl of some kind. Often times, Craven would find himself outnumbered....sometimes as many as 10 to 1. Well, any time Craven would get into these jams....these so called self employed bounty hunters would show up to watch his back. No matter where he was...they were there. Craven explained it as if the riders just appeared like apparitions. He never could explain it. He said they wore dark colors...mostly black. Whenever he would ask about who they were....no one would seem to know. People thought he was psycho...of course he is...But anyways...this kind of thing happened more and more frequently....and so Craven accepted his role as their leader and now rides with the Shadow Riders. From what I've heard....they are one of the most feared gangs in the world. People have described them as being almost in a deep trance....their minds are set on one thing....revenge.
The visual aid video ends and the cameras pan back on Watson and Carter. Chuck Watson just looks on in awe, as somewhere in America, Johnny Craven is seen looking on into a daze, and a sick smile coming across his face. This is the scene as it fades out.
