Red lights begin swirling around the arena as the lights slowly fade and “Blood and a Siren” by Index Case kicks in. The crowd begins head banging along, and when the lyrics come in, Corey Black emerges from the backstage area. He walks down to the ring wearing a black hoodie with the hood up. Corey slides in under the bottom rope, and pops up to his feet. He takes the hoodie off, drops it on the floor, and sits on the far turnbuckle, waiting for the match to begin
Ron Hayes: “The following match is scheduled for one fall, introducing first from Tokyo, Japan by way of Minneapolis, Minnesota, weighing in at 220lbs.. he is the Warzone Champion, COREEEEY BLAACCKK!”
With the absence of music to accompany his arrival, Jay Price walks out onto the stage and pauses as he listens to the mixture of hate filled boos and smarky cheers. He then walks down the ramp and rolls into the ring under the bottom rope. Then he walks over to the nearest corner, climbs up to the second turnbuckle and delivers his trademarked smirk as he flips off the crowd. Finally he hops out of the corner and begins to loosen up for his match.
Ron Hayes: “And his opponent, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and weighing in at 240lbs.. JAAAYYYY PRRRICCEEE!!”
Both men circle each other as the bell sounds and this epic encounter gets underway. Neither man wants to strike out first but the rage inside Corey over takes him, forcing him to lunge at Price who ducks the attempt and swings in from behind with some right hands. Jay beats him to the ropes, fist after fist, whipping him acorss the ring and into a Standing Dropkick. The fans boo as Black hits the canvas hard, Jay getting him straight back to his feet by a pull of the hair and into an Overhead Belly to Belly Suplex. The Nightmare has rattled his former friends cage early and is quick into the lateral press… One… Two.. Kick Out! The Japanese Crowd let out a little roar but it soon subsides, Price rolling Black to a seated position and applying the Sleeper. He’s trying to make sure this one stays at a slow and methodical pace, the referee checking on Black, asking him if he wants to tap. Corey shakes the head no, he’s not going to give up and starts attempting to break free. He’s up to one knee and then back to his feet with the crowd behind him, an elbow, another, another, he breaks the hold and storms into the ropes, Drop Toe Hold into the bottom rope! Jay plants him hard as he gains some momentum, swinging himself back to one knee with a sick and sadistic smirk. Corey is dazed and rolls away from the bottom rope, The Nightmare lifting him back up and down quickly with a Snap Suplex. He quickly floats into the cover… One… Two.. Kick Out! The Avenger just won’t stay down but I don’t think Price expected him to.
Once again he rolls Black to a seated position and locks in the Sleeper, holding him there on the canvas as the fans show their displeasure. They wanted a fast paced match, a back and fourth contest but Jay Price has been slowing this whole thing down. Corey tries reaching out, tries getting the ropes from where he is but he can’t, he’s hurting and this hold is slowly cutting of the oxygen to his brain. Once more he tries to get back up, rolling side ways to one knee, then to standing.. BACK DROP DRIVER!! BEAUTIFUL!! In a desperate attempt to turn the sway of this match, Corey Black plants him! The fans cheer him on, urging him to cover or get back to his feet but the Sleepers have taken effect. Slowly but surely Black is back up, Price too and here comes the chops, kicks and punches! The Avenger rattles him with a knee to the head, chest, stomach and head again that sends Price sprawlling to the canvas. Corey shouts at the fans to rally them up, running to the ropes and returning with a monstrous Buisaku Knee to the face of a getting up Nightmare! That’s it! Corey Black is finally getting in the offense he wants. Black pulls Jay back to his feet, a forearm to the face for good measure, then another and into the Falcon Arrow! Planted! It’s about that time he covers and he does, hooking the leg… One… Two.. Kick Out!
The Avenger doesn’t waste any time complaining about the pinfall and pulls Price up once more, scooping him into the Death Valley Driver position and rushing across the ring, connecting with it beautifully. He should cover but doesn’t, he’s rallying the fans once more with a shout in their direction before climbing the top rope. This is dangerous territory but here he comes with a 360 CORKSCREW SPLASH! NO!! PRICE MOVES!! That’s the danger of hitting the top rope in a match like this! Black came sailing beautifully down, splatting face first into the canvas and this one is back to being anyone’s match. Jay uses the ropes to get himself back up and cockilly swaggers over to Black, grabbing him by the hair. He’s talking trash and the camera can pick it up, “You think you’re better than me, huh?” He asks as he connects with a knee to the mid-section, dropping him down with the Busted Grill! Single Knee Facebuster! That should do it, that should be all and heres the cover… One….. Two…. Thre-KICK OUT! THE AVENGER KICKS OUT!! Price can’t believe it, he thought he had it! He slams his hand down on the canvas in frustration and gets back up, calling for the end of this match. You know what’s coming don’t you? It’s The Downfall. Corey slowly gets back to his feet, stumbling, hurt, turning around and DOWNF-NO!! HE PUSHES OUT!! Price swivels quickly and is scooped up fast.. EMERALD FLOWSION!! THAT’S IT!! THIS IS DONE!! This move has beaten many of people and Black just has to cover. He gets himself into position and hooks the leg… One….. Two… Thre-KICK OUT!! KICK OUT!! Jesus Christ he kicks out! The Avenger has to be wondering what he’s going to have to do after that.
This rivalry is coming to it’s bitter end and both men are searching for the win. Black gets back to his feet slowly, rolling Price over and looking For Victory Or Death. He tries to lock in the Abdominal Stretch but DOWNFALL!! DOWNFALL!! WHAT THE HELL!? The Nightmare is just too athletic, standing straight up under the jaw of the Avenger and planting him out of literally nothing! Corey Black is done, he just has to be. Jay Price has walked into the IWF and beaten his former friend, he covers, this is it… One… surely… Two…. Three!! Kick Out! Kick THE FUCK out!! The fans can’t believe it, they’re up on their feet in shock as Corey Black uses every ounce of energy he has to kick out. Price rolls off him, tired, feeling the pain of a fantastic match and gets back to his feet. He walks over to the corner, pulls himself in one amazing fluid motion to the top rope, flips off the Japanese crowd to a roar of boo’s and leaps backwards with an insane Moonsault! WTF Maneuver!! MISSED!! Black shrudely rolls out of the way and sends The Nightmare crashing and burning into the canvas. He was playing possum! The Avenger gets back up, grabbing an in pain Jay Price and pulling him into position! Here it comes! FOR VICTORY… OR… DEATH!! He locks in the modified abdominal stretch and ELBOWS! Rapid Elbows to the side of the head and neck! Price can’t stop it, he’s powerless to each and every blow, shot after shot, agonizing pain. The referee asks him time time again, “Do you submit Jay? Do you submit?” but The Nightmare just takes every shot until the referee calls for the bell! That’s it, this one is over! The referee comes back over to Jay Price and demands that Corey let go of the hold, to which he does, the referee checking on the clearly unconcious Nightmare. This has been one hell of an encounter, one hell of a match! Jay Price may not have walked away with Corey Black’s head on a platter like he hoped but didn’t submit, he didn’t quit.
Winner: Corey Black
