I rarely ask for feedback concerning myself or whatever I write here in WCF. However, this time I probably should.
A few months ago I turned Logan into believing he was Chris Avery and personally I thrived on a new creative level that I hadn’t seen myself reach in recent memory. I’d like to say it was because it was something fresh, and I never planned on having Logan return… not for a while at least, had no reason to pull him back out.
I was going to do Chris Avery for a while longer and then eventually morph Logan from a black man and into a woman (Kaylyn Evan James at the time, though now he may’ve went to Sarah Twilight) – one extreme to the next.
Then Super FPV approached me with an awesome idea of reforming the ToT. It sounded crazy, risky, dumb, exciting, fun, all of that in a package. It also made me flattered that he even knew what the ToT was… however it wouldn’t seem fair if it was Chris Avery doing ToT and not Logan so the Face of Treachery character had to quickly drop the whole black man shtick.
SO.. I brought Logan back and have already run out of gas very quickly. I have thought of maybe changing him up somehow, making him a total kiss ass to Seth Lerch kind of like how Austin was to Vince during his comedy heel days BUUT.. I don’t know, at the end of the day I’m more or less bored with writing as the ‘Face of Treachery’ character.
Simply put; I enjoyed writing much MORE when Logan was pretending to be black. I WANTED to write, and if we’re here in WCF we should at least… want.. to be here.
SO, I just want to know maybe what you guys would do if you were in my position? Also – how does it appear? There is no shame in Logan’s game, he wouldn’t care what people said if he started cross dressing and calling himself Logan Twilight. ALSO, would you be offended if Logan did that, Sarah?
More or less.. here are the choices..
1) Maintain current character and try to fresh him up. However, personally, I don’t believe this would work. I’d feel like I was forcing out RP’s and they’d basically be generic ramblings.
2) Immediately begin the conversion from Logan into Sarah Twilight. It wouldn’t be any way at all of poking fun at her; he’d just simply honestly believe he was Sarah Twilight. It’s almost a tribute to her talent if anything. I’d feel more than excited to go this route and I probably will.
Also to note; ToT would remain active no matter what choice I want to go. I just wanted personal feedback really and Sarah’s permission more or less before I started writing Logan as a redhead. I have only reached out to ask for your thoughts because AT THE MOMENT – I want to be in WCF, hopefully until my hair turns gray, but with Logan (Face of Treachery character) it’s just becoming more and more not interesting from a writing perspective. It’s time for a change. What do you think? And more importantly, Sarah, would you be okay with this?
