For the second week in a row, WCF Superstar Jay Price has invaded IWF turf:
Red lights begin swirling around the arena as the lights slowly fade and “Blood and a Siren” by Index Case kicks in. The crowd begins head banging along, and when the lyrics come in, Corey Black emerges from the backstage area.
Mitch Law: “After last week on Warzone, Corey Black has to be fuming that Jay Price would invade his federation.”
Ryan Johnson: “What about the Downfall? That was a brutal way to introduce yourself.”
He walks down to the ring wearing a black hoodie with the hood up. Corey slides in under the bottom rope, and pops up to his feet. He asks for a microphone from Ron Hayes and gets one, turning to the center of the ring.
“Last week, an old friend of mine decided that coming to my house and kicking my ass was a good idea. For those of you who don’t remember Jay Price from his twenty minute stay here well over eight months ago, we came here as a Tag Team,” Corey says, soaking up the mixed reaction from the crowd. “I know I wasn’t the man I am today back then but we wanted to dominate that division, elevate it, take it to new heights. The problem was what the problem always is, and that’s Jay Price.”
Corey begins to pace the ring.
“Jay couldn’t handle it, he couldn’t stay and decided to tuck his tail between his legs and run back to the WCF. Now all of a sudden we’re in Japan and he wants a piece of me?” Corey smiles, “Do you know what? Why don’t you come in here Jay, I know you’re here somewhere, don’t be shy.”
The crowd are looking around themselves wondering if he really is there tonight. All of a sudden a cheer goes up from the right side of the arena and the camera zooms in to see Jay Price holding a ticket in the air and walking through them. He gets to the barricade and is about to hop over when security stop him.
“No, let him in,” Corey shouts at the security, forcing them to step back and let Price jump the barricade. “I want him to look me in the eye, man to man.”
Jay walks up the ring steps and enters the ring, stepping to Corey Black. The fans cheer quite loudly as both men stand opposite each other, jawing, talking, telling each other what they really think off microphone. Corey hands Jay his and asks Ron Hayes for another, stepping across the ring with his eyes focused on Price the entire time to receive it.
Corey is about to speak when Jay interrupts.
“You’ve had your say, now it’s my turn,” Price steps towards Black and reminds him that it’s his time to speak. “You want to know why I came here and decided to take you down a peg or two? It’s simple. Look at you now, you think you’re better than me, you think you’re better than us. The WCF isn’t your home anymore and we get that but you can’t act as if you’re above me. I was here with you for a short while and you know what, you left me behind.”
The fans don’t seem to understand it, neither does Corey.
“That’s right, you can sugar coat it, you can blame me but the truth is, you walked away from me and made something of yourself here. You took it upon yourself to leave everything that made you who you are behind, including me. I’ve had enough of sitting in the shadows waiting for you to return back to where I used to kick your ass. I decided that I’d come and find you myself.”
“Are you trying to say it’s my fault you couldn’t handle it here?” Corey asks, walking around Jay. “You couldn’t hack it, it was the other way around. Despite our history, you shouldn’t be here and I don’t want you here. So leave, or I’ll make you leave.”
Jay smiles as Corey starts to get angry, getting in his face. Price interrupts him, just to make sure he’s aware of the parametres of this conversation.
“Make me leave? You can’t touch a hair on my head. Tonight I’m just a fan, Corey, just a fan you’ve invited to the ring,” Jay says with a arrogant smile that forces Black to think about it and back off. “So you just remember that before you make threats you can’t complete. But at Japanese Rising, I want to beat you on your own turf.”
Corey smiles himself this time, his anger having subsided at the offer of a match.
“You’re on!” he shouts to a screaming reaction from the crowd.
Black drops the microphone and is about to leave when Jay Price spins him around and DOWNFALL!! DOWNFALL!!! He crunches Corey Black’s face into the canvas with the second Downfall in two weeks! Security rush down the entrance ramp and slide into the ring, grabbing Price and restraining him before escorting him to the outside and back up the entrance ramp.
Mitch Law: “That son of a bitch!”
Ryan Johnson: “Thank God they are escorting this idiot from the arena. At Japanese Rising, Corey Black is going to get his hands on Jay Price and there is nothing anyone can do about it.”
