An Announcement From The World Champion

WCF sources can now confirm that the WCF World Champion, Jay Price, has decided to procure the services of a team of professionals to manage his assets and day to day activities. When asked why, Price had the following to say:

"Look, I've been busy before, but now that I'm the World Champion I've realized that a lot of work comes with being the "guy" at the top of the ladder. Public appearances, press interviews, kissing hands and shaking babies...all on top of maintaining my status as the best wrestler in this company...sometimes you just need a team of people to handle all of the secondary bullshit so you can focus on what's important. For some, that would mean milking the fame for all it's worth and putting wrestling second. That ain't me. I'll always be a wrestler first and foremost. I can't see a day coming when a TV spot means more than kicking some dumb bastards teeth down his throat."

More information to come on the names and backgrounds of the "team of professionals" when it becomes available.

WCF.com recently caught up with the new WCF World Champion, Jay Price, and asked him about his thoughts on the Aftermath PPV, and what should happen with the previously scheduled main event of Jonny Fly versus Sarah Twilight. Here was his response:

"I say keep the match between the two of them. Twilight might be pissed about not getting her way, but she earned the right to face Fly, who at the time was merely a paper champion. She's yet to earn the right to face a real Champion. At Aftermath, I say we have Fly versus Twilight with the winner earning the right to step into the ring against myself, the one and only Jay Fucking Price for the WCF World Heavyweight Title."

When asked what he thought he should be doing at Aftermath, Price had the following to say:

"You know, I've always wanted to add the United States Title to my resume. Adding the US Title would mean I've won every major singles title in the WCF and would put me in the elitest of elite company."

It's highly unlikely Price would be given a shot at the United States Title, but in regards to the Twilight versus Fly match, it should be noted that the idea has at least been thrown around. As it stands, WCF.com has reached out to Seth Lerch for comment regarding Price's statements, but he has yet to respond.
