Reading, Pennsylvania - On December 18th, 2011, WCF Television Champion 'The Epitome of Cool' Aaron Miles was set to take place in a six-man tag match on that Sunday's edition of Slam. On his way down to ringside Miles was viciously attacked by now WCF World Champion Jonny Fly. Miles suffered extensive injuries in the attack and was life-flighted to the Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
The Wrestling Championship Federation has repeatedly denied comment on Miles' condition, until now. A source within the company spoke with us earlier today and confirmed that the self-proclaimed 'Epitome of Cool' suffered a traumatic brain injury during the attack, and has lost several of his physical and mental motor functions.
"Aaron is in great spirits," said the source. "We're happy to say that his injuries haven't affected his personality much. He's still loved by the ladies! Unfortunately, he's suffered partial paralysis, so he doesn't have any movement on the left side of his body. Therefore, he's likely resigned to a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Furthermore, the damage to his brain has made speech extremely difficult. He's been outfitted with a speech generating device so that he can still communicate with the world. Similar to what you see with Stephen Hawking, the device has been attached onto his wheelchair for ease of use."
"I'm also proud to say that Aaron Miles hasn't lost his love for wrestling, or the Wrestling Championship Federation," the source went on to say. "During a recent visit from WCF Owner Seth Lerch, Miles informed him that he wanted to come back to the company as a manager for a 'talented' tag-team that he had discovered. It's an amazing story and I know WCF fans will be happy to see Aaron back on television."
WCF.com can confirm the signing of 'The 8th Wonder' to the WCF tag-team roster, and that the team will be managed by Aaron Miles. A company spokesman couldn't track down much information on the team's background but did tell us that they seem to be "a pair of dumbasses, if you ask me." There is no word yet on when the team will make their debut.
