Flashback
The sound of trash cans being knocked over and the sound of howling rabid dogs can be heard for miles and miles to come. Nothing is seen besides the darkness of night. The moon in the dark night sky just lights up the view. The camera is pointed towards the night sky, but it slowly descends down towards a humans view at ground level. The sight of a dark alley between two buildings is seen. Nothing in the alley can be seen besides the complete and utter darkness. The camera then dares itself to move towards the unsuspecting events that are in the darkened alley. The sudden sound of screams can be heard, then reacting immediately, the camera starts to run into the alley to see what is the source of the screams. A circle of boys is seen almost like dancing. They are moving their feet in a very odd and different manner than normally. The sight of them is very foggy and un-detailed. As the camera gets closer, the view gets sharper and more detailed. A very awkward moment goes on as the question of why the kids are all gathered around in a circle occurs.
As the camera gets closer it seems to be over one of the boys shoulders. It lifts over the boy to find the view of another boy laying on the ground being kicked with such force that he is bleeding from the mouth and is bruised around the arms and legs. They boys continue to forcefully and unhumainly kick the downed child. The disgusting sight and view of the boy being pummeled to a pulp just makes you look away for a short moment. The sound of the screams is then interrupted by the sound of a police siren as all of the boys that formed the oblique shape runs off into the darkness, but one boy stays behind with the boy on the ground.
The boy is left there spiting blood and has bruises all over his body. The boy seems to be just beaten viciously by the manner he is rolling around. The boy that stayed looks at the other laying there on the hard and cold ground. He then speaks with a very different and demonic tone to it.
Bruiser: That is what you get for betraying us Donald. If you tell a single soul about this, trust me there will be much more to pay for then a few little bruises and bumps. I thought, out of everyone in the crew that you would be the last person to betray us. We use to be friends, but because of your actions that is a false statement. You are now my enemy, anyone that isn't one of us is against us. I don't know what got into yourself, but you better watch your back from now on. If not there will be consequences to pay.
The boy then runs off in the same direction as the rest of the young men. Young Donald, about twelve years old while the bruisers were sixteen or older, just lays there holding his arms and head. He then slowly gets up. Step after step he makes his way out of the alley and into the streets towards the sirens from the cops. He seems to be favoring his left leg as he is limping away from the vicious and brutal attack that just happened moments ago. Donald reaches the street where the street light shines on his bruised face and body. He turns to his left and begins to walk down the street.
Street light after street light, block after block, he walks towards a destination that only he knows. Finally the sirens reach him and a cop car pulls out besides him in a no parking zone near the sidewalk that Donald is walking on. Young Donald just happens to be standing under a bright street light and all of his bruises and scars is revealed to the tired and droggy eyes of the policeman. The police man steps out of the car and rushes over to the limping Donald. He puts his arm on Donald's shoulder and helps him to a nearby wall that he can lean on before asking him where all the attack wounds came from.
Policeman: Young man, you look like you were run over by a bus. What have you been doing out here at such a late time of the night?
Donald Deruty: Ohh just hanging out with some friends. Playing around kicking bottles, that sort of thing. Nothing too special. I am just heading home right now, so you will not have to worry about me anymore for tonight.
Policeman: Excuse me young man, but where did all of those bruises come from?
Donald looks a little startled and swiftly comes up with a lie to cover up the truth.
Donald Deruty: Ohh these? I was just running around in an alley with my friends when I didn't notice a trash can in front of myself and I fell and this is the results. It hurt like a mother...well you know. I skinned up and landed on the trash that was in the trash can. I think I twisted my ankle along with it. I guess today just isn't a good day for myself.
Policeman: Ohh I see. So, why don't you hop in and I will drive you home.
Donald Deruty: Ohh that won't be necessary. I am perfectly fine with walking. I need to exercise actually.
Policeman: I wasn't asking you. Get in and I will give you a ride. It is dangerous in the streets at this time of night, let alone someone for your size and age. Get in and I will drive you home.
The two walk towards the cop car. Donald seems a little hesitant, but gets in the passenger side none the less. The cop gets in on the driver's side of the vehicle and begins driving down the road to the next destination of choice.
The policeman, driving the vehicle, looks over towards Donald and speaks to him by asking him some simple questions.
Policeman: So. It is Donald...Donald Deruty?
Donald gets surprised look on his face. He is looking into the window, keeping his face out of sight from the policeman in fear of confrontation about the fresh bruises. After hearing the policeman speak his name he immediately turns his head and looking directly at the policeman before responding to his question.
Donald Deruty: Yes, that is my name. How did you know that?
Policeman: Well kid, I know about everyone that lives in this city. I am a very important man in the force and part of my job is to know almost everyone that lives in the area. So where do you live?
Donald Deruty: Ohh just two blocks ahead and take a right. I live in the second house of the left. Once again I thank you for driving me home. You really didn't have to at all.
Policeman: I know, but I know what goes on in the city at this time and I didn't want to see anything happen to someone at your age. Don't worry about it.
The car comes to a stop, then Donald looks out the window before opening the door and walking towards the front of his home. He then goes back before shutting the door and speaks to the policeman before continuing towards the door.
Donald Deruty: Thanks for the ride.
Policeman: Anytime, I am just doing my job!
Donald the nods before shutting the door and walking towards the front door. Donald reaches for the door nob and turns it with a twist of the wrist. He then opens the door and walks inside of the building. He is then met with the sight of a woman in her mid forties. She is standing there with nothing but a night gown on and a robe. She stands there with her hands crossed and looks right into Donald's eyes. She has a serious look on her face before asking Donald why it is so late for him to get home.
Mrs. Deruty: So...what is your excuse for being late this time?
Donald Deruty: Mom...i am sorry, but I was out and I lost track of time and the next thing I new this nice policeman was giving me a ride home.
Mrs. Deruty: ...wait. What is going on with you Donald? Why did a policeman give you a ride home. Also why are you so...beat up!
Mrs. Deruty runs over to Donald. She grabs him and takes him to the kitchen across the house. She turns on the water and places Donald's face over the sink. She tosses water on his face washing away the blood from his mouth. She then goes to the fridge and grabs a bag of peas. She places it on his face as complete silence is heard through out the house. The picture completely goes black until nothing can be seen or heard. The view of Mrs. Deruty splashing water on Donald's face is the last thing seen in the scene.
Present
The sound of complete silence continues on until the picture of Donald Deruty standing in front of his own fireplace. On the fireplace there is several pictures. Pictures from his childhood and pictures of his past moments in the WCF. He then stops paying attention to the pictures that sit on the shelf above the flame in the fireplace. He turns and looks at the camera before speaking about memories from his childhood.
Donald Deruty: When I was about the age of ten or so I got in the wrong crowd with the wrong people. I was in a crew or gang, which ever you prefer to call it. I have moved on from that time and when I was about the age of twelve or so. I was attacked by the majority of the members because I left the crew and was ready to move on. I paid dearly for that decision, but in the long run it really helped me form my career in the WCF. The constant attack and insults from the member of my former crew was a very difficult thing to endure, but it made be more alert of my surroundings. Even though that may have been the case. I was truly injured because of the many attacks. The different injuries varied from black eyes to being in the hospital for weeks and even months at a time. Finally after living up in the shit of a neighborhood that I grew up in, I decided to move on and move away from the place where I endured a life time of torture. At the age of 18 I moved on from the neighborhood, and I joined a company called the WCF. The WCF is a place that has grew me into the humble man that I am today.
I have had much successful times here in the WCF. I have won the WCF United States Championship not once...not twice...not three...but four times in my career! I have done things that people have dreamed of doing. My story about joining the WCF is proof that someone that has grown up in the biggest of shit hole cities can become successful still. I have proved to many and many of people that there is always something out there for you to do in the world. I have been winning matches, been in championship matches, as well as been adored by millions and millions of fans around the world. So many people have told me that I would amount to nothing, well I am here to tell everyone out there that they should no listen to anyone that says that to them. Keep on dreaming and don't forget to chase your dreams until you fulfill them.
Speaking of dreams this week I am up against a group of men that dream they could just walk in and take complete control over the WCF. Well I am here to become their personal nightmare. Of course the group I am talking about is the MS-13. They have been here before and didn't successfully accomplish what their goal was before, so they are back. You see they may have grown up in the same kind of neighborhood that I grew up in, but we will never be the same. The MS-13 is a group that has always used their skills in the ring for bad reasons. They have never really tried to win a match by themselves, and with no advantage what so ever. Well this week I am going to prove to them how it feels to be successfully beaten fair and square. This week we will get the pinfall, nothing fancy or cheep about it.
Gravedigger, you are the leader of the MS-13. The man that I have had history with when we teamed up in the WCF Tag Team Tournament a couple of years ago. Gravedigger, I have been in the ring with you so many times during that period that I practically know all of your moves and I can guess all of your actions that will occur in that ring. Your identity may have been Hector Rodriguez during that time period but it was still Gravedigger behind that mask. To be honest Gravedigger, you are the one person that I most disrespect here in this line of work. You are a WCF Hall of Famer, you have won multiple championships here including the World and Hardcore Championship. You are a man that has been respected throughout the many years that you have been here, yet you have never taken the high road. You have never won a match without a cheap shot, or an unfair advantage is another thing that you might call it. Gravedigger, you are a man that almost ended Oblivion's career months ago. I am really looking forward to getting the win over yourself and the MS-13, and I am pretty sure that Oblivion is looking for some sweet payback as well.
Donald wipes his mouth off before continuing.
Donald Deruty: Speaking of the MS-13. The other members...Adrian, and Chester is men that aren't any different from their leader Gravedigger. Adrian, I faced you at One during the One Invitational. I beat you, but then you called in you little friend Chester who landed a Dust Biter on me and cost me the chance of a life time. You two weakened me even more than I was after the match, you two lowered my chances of winning the One Invitational. Indeed your little stunt worked and I was beaten by Nathan. Adrian, don't you see? You have been one of the reasons that I have not accomplished more than I have already have in my career here in the WCF. You always cost me matches and opportunities in the WCF, and it is time for me to get payback on the MS-13. You haven't changed since the MS-13 first came to the WCF to help me with my broken arm. An act that turned back for me when I was attacked from the MS-13 and was left out to dry. You see Adrian, my entire career has been effected by your stupidity. Adrian, I am going to have fun kicking your ass in that ring tonight at Slam.
Speaking of Nathan...this little event that Seth has made has amazed me. He has never shown this much respect for any newcomer for a long time...hell even before Jay Price joined the WCF. Nathan all I can say is that you must have kissed a lot of ass to get to that spot that you are now. You may claim that you beat me at One, but you would be completely lying. Nathan, if it wasn't for your little actions with hitting me across the face with my own championship belt, the results would have changed. You are another man that doesn't have the balls to win a match fair and fair, mono-e-mono. I don't know who you picked or who Creeping Death picked, but this is another event that will just be a waste of time in the world of the WCF. This is just another event that will be wasted and once again the United States Championship is over looked once again. Seth, why don't you pay attention to what the people really want. They don't want some psycho gothic man in latex in the ring. You see Seth, they want entertainment, and they want the current United States Champion. They want the current World Champion, they don't want these little cocky ass newcomers. I hope that you will come to your senses sooner of later because if you don't, there is a big chance that it will result in another mistake...and you know who I am talking about.
Speaking of mistakes. Chester, you have been a thorn in my side. You have cost me matches and I have cost you matches. If you think that the torture and consequences for costing me my win at One is over with...then you will be mistaken. Chester, this week I am out to make sure that you will not be able to compete one hundred percent at the PPV like you did to me at One. Chester it is time for you to get a dose of your own medicine. The entire MS-13 will wish that they didn't cross Donald Deruty. They are going to wish that they would have stayed in their warm homes than come out to the ring and get their asses kicked. MS-13, this week isn't just a match that I am going into looking for a win. I am going into this match looking for revenge, redemption, and payback. I will make you suffer like I did as a young child. I will make you feel the pain of thousands of kicks to the human body. I will make you feel the pain of disappointment and sorrow. This week MS-13, it gets personal! I just can't wait to get into the ring with you three, because I will love every second of it!
The scene ends.
