"Did anyone actually believe three no-bodies in ACW would join WCF and in a matter of two months, be tag champions and future World Champion?"
After that question, visual feed replaces the darkness. Nathan von Liebert, the fastest rising rookie in WCF, was sitting in an empty ring in the arena where Slam would be held in mere hours. He wore a Harley Davidson jacket with a hole in the sleeve, along with jean shorts and knee high boots. He is leaning his back against the turnbuckle, hands on his knees.
"That was what we were, to everyone who did not know. I was a rookie with only one Main Event appearance and zero title shots. Purse often opened the show against no named opponents. Nightrider had to put his own money on the line to earn a hyped match. We were all talented in the ring, I more than the other two, but we were held back because there were others there who were better. But come to WCF where the superstars make uncommon appearences before fading back into darkness, we were some of the best. Jeff contested for the lowest belt in ACW, and Nightrider no belts for him at all. But now they are tag team champions. I have never fought in a match where winner would be called champion, but at the end of the month, I shall compete for the biggest title in this company.
But that is later on in the future. This week at Slam I shall team up with Purse and Rider to take on three champions in this company. Oblivion, Mr. FPV, and Corey Black. Three stars in this company, two of which who returned at One. So they just emphasized my point that the stars here are briefly seen. But instead of reearning opportunities at success, success is thrusted upon them. They only have to take hold of it and roll with it.
Mr. FPV has only fought in two matches since returning, and Oblivion with be competiting in his return match this week. But did FPV fight in a mid-card match to reprove to everyone why he should be tag team champions? Or did he 'lose' his titles to Purse and Rider after losing to them this past week? Did Oblivion fight a singles match to open the show with an aspiring rookie? Or was he given the Main Event slot to fight in? Neither of you deserve to be in the ring against me.
But you do understand why you're in this match. They could've easily put you two against Purse and Rider in a tag match, leaving Corey and I to duke it out in the Main Event. But why ruin Payback in a few weeks by hosting the Main Event on a slam. So my two partners, and you two returners didn't earn the Main Event. You were merely given it because it would make more money. How can the three ACW boys work together when they don't like each other? Can three men who never worked together before co-exsist to win over dominant rookies? Will the winner of this match be the winner of Payback?
Jeff and Rider are not my targets this week. They want to win just as much as I do, and win is what we will do. But I am tired of talking about of all of you as if you three are equals. So I'll first address the weak link in this match, Mr. FPV."
Nathan blinks once, considering what to say next.
"Frankie you really are the weak link. Oblivion will produce this week because he wants to prove he deserves a match against Gravedigger. Corey will produce this week because he does every week. Even injured from XIII, Corey will do more in the match this week than you. But you show no effort. You felt beating Vic up make you seem powerful. You felt since you never lost your tag titles that you were good enough to win them again. But as we can tell, I'm teaming with the champs this week.
And you showed no effort by that pitiful excuse of an interview. I did feel honored that I was the only three people of my team that was actually addressed. But you said I was not scary. That it? Was that all you really you had to say? I'm not as scary as the things you see in Roy's closet? As an effort to make your promo seem a little more entertaining, might I ask what you see in his closet? What do you see while you wait for your while you wait for your friend Roy to join you for your fun? I feel bad that I burst your bubble but Roy is not homosexual like you are. He has not one but two women and all you have the time to talk about is about what you see in some guy's closet.
And then you had to go train. . ." Nathan lifts his right hand, and moves it up and down, performing the move that people do when they jerk off. ". . .so I'll move onto Oblivion."
Nathan chuckles as he usually doesn't joke on people's sexuality in his promos. But he moves on without much time wasting.
"It arrives! Not he arrives, but it. Oblivion, you truly are Oblivious. You don't understand that change has come and what you are have been brushed aside. I reinnovated the meaning of the horror heel. And I'm not acting when I drop people on their heads or tie you up into the ropes just so I can use your arms as trampolines.
Maybe you're right about Rider and Purse, but I doubt it. You weren't right when you said I was disposable. I'm still here even after so many people have tried to dispose of me. You were wrong when you said when didn't know what was in store for us this week. I knew from the very beginning that I would have another win under my belt after Slam. And you were wrong when you said we were sitting ducks. I don't just sit around and wait to be taken out. I adapt, I move, and I change constantly in the ring to win. But even if I was a sitting duck, after Slam you will be able to boast that you lost to a duck. Because that is much better than saying you lost to the best rookie in the company. You can just say you lost to a damn good duck if it makes IT feel better.
Oblivion doesn't play games becuase he would lose every time. Oblivion doesn't hunt because he would shoot himself in the face every time. And Oblivion won't fight Nathan von Liebert after this week because he will lose every week."
Nathan shakes his head, watching the camera.
"But then you had to post another of your messages not too long after the first. And I was disappointed. Only two hearts will be bounding. Only two sets of teeth will be clattering. Only four knees will be shaking. Jeff, Rider, and I won't be nervous to step into the ring with you. Corey is used to the main event, and he won't be nervous about losing; he has done that atleast four times in his career already. Oblivion, you and Mr. FPV will be the ones nervous. Nervous that your stardom will be snuffed out by three newbies in WCF. Nervous that after this week, your names will never be listed in the Main Event. Nervous that you only have a few hours before your career is derailed, never to be put back on track.
Oblivion, please take your beating with a smile this week. If you don't, I promise I won't destroy you. Not that you are worth destroying in the first place."
Nathan smirks, and he stands up. Walking to the center of the ring, he points to the seats around him.
"In mere hours these seats will be filled to watch Slam. Some will be here to see Chester fight in a handicap. A few might be tuning in for the beating GLS will get from Reb and Doc. None will be here to see Yukon get his first win. But I can honestly say the majority will be here to see what happens when you and I meet in the ring for the first time. You stated I'll land on your radar and that is great. But I want to be on more than just your radar. I want to be on everyone's radar. And I feel I have pretty much accomplished that after last week's announcement from Seth. But if people still don't know me, they will after I beat you at Slam.
And really, Corey, you might even have a little respect from me. Unlike many others, they understand I didn't demand a shot at you. Instead I earned it. I didn't think I would be contesting for the title so early in my career. Truth be told if Gage Gannon hadn't answered so early, I would've taken Jonny's challenge for his Television title. But I'm glad I didn't because now when I win at Payback, I'll be able to say my first ever title in my career was the World title in Wrestling Championship Federation.
But I will keep my tongue in check for a few hours atleast. Maybe I'll have something to say when Slam airs, but I don't want your wrath to fall upon me. Damn I might piss my pants as Adam Young would say if I said anything that would tick you off. But you seem to forget you have said something to me that hasn't be avenged. You too called me mouthy, which led to Yukon being beat by the first Demon Bounce seen in WCF. I made him eat his words, but you have yet to chow down. So if anyone deserves to have their face kicked in, it is you."
Nathan points to the WCF banner hanging above the ring.
"I praise you for keeping WCF alive for so long, Corey. But like in the Olympics, one person doesn't bear the torch the entire journey. I just happen to be the next person that that torch will be passed along to. Be proud you kept WCF alive so long. Because after Payback, you'll bear witness to your child naming Nathan von Liebert their world champion. In my book we have not quite made it to Revelations, but consider this upcoming match at Slam the end of Jude."
The scene fades out.
