Hours before WCF Slam begins
The WCF Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania
(The crisp night air blows around the parking lot of the WCF Arena in Reading, Pennsylvania. Dust, soda cups and old popcorn bags roll across the ground. Cars make strange shadowy figures across the yellow stripped parking lot. The outside lights are pouring down on the screaming fans standing in the snake like line. They shout and wave their homemade signs, waiting to get in to see their favorite wrestlers. Backstage are a verity of WCF wrestlers. Some are talking and laughing with each other. A few are having push up contests. Some are staring at each other toe to toe. Down the hall staring at a coca- cola machine is Yukon Jack. He is in full wrestling gear. As he is making his choice of what to drink. WCF senior referee, Stanley Moser walks up to Jack and pats him on the back.)
Stanley: “Good evening there Jack. How are you doing?”
(Yukon Jack, just stands in front of the soda machine. His teeth grinding. He pushes on the machine and a cherry coke drops. Jack grabs his refreshment, pops the top and takes a large chug.)
Stanley: “So tonight you go up against three other wrestlers. Are you ready for the four way match?”
(Yukon Jack stands solid at the soda machine. He doesn't make eye contact with Stanley.)
Yukon Jack: “Am I ready? You ask me am I ready?"
(Jack turns to Stanley and grabs a fist full of shirt.)
Yukon Jack: "Stan, can I call you Stan? (Stan shakes his head yes.) I had a great debut against a lucky Nathan von Liebert. The only reason Nathan is undefeated is because he has had a few tag team matches. I showed him how talented I was in the ring. The only reason he won was because I got caught up in the ropes. Tonight that mouthy little Sid Vicious wannabe has a main event match. Here I am stuck in a match with a mutha fucking clown."
Stan: "Well, Jack, you ARE a rookie? You lost your debut match. Do you expect to get a title shot working here less then a month?"
Yukon Jack: "I am wrestling Stitches, the mutha fucking clown."
Stan: "It's Switches."
Yukon Jack: "It's a fucking clown."
Stan: "You seam to be on edge. What's the problem?"
(Yukon Jack lets go of Stan and straightens out his shirt.)
Yukon Jack: "I hate clowns Stan. They are creepy, freaky... things!"
(Stan kinda puts a smirk on his face.)
Stan: "What? Come on. A huge guy like you scared of a clown?"
Yukon Jack: "I have Coulrophobia. It's real! I have a phobia of clowns."
Stan: (Trying to hide in his giggles) "When did this happen?"
Yukon Jack: "I was 9 years old. My dad rented a clown for my birthday. He was drunk. I think he was drunk. He only could make noddles, snakes and worms with those animal balloons. He tried to juggle and dropped the balls. His magic was terrible. He tired to do this one thing with a..."
Stan: "He wasn't a good clown. I get it. Get to the point"
Yukon Jack: "Anyway, I walked up to bonko, and said, You aren't a very good clown. He looked down at me. Got to one knee grabbed my shoulder and said, Are you afraid of clowns? I said, No. He then said, You should be. He patted my head and walked away."
Stan: (Biting his lip holding in a laugh.) "That sounds awful. Anyway, have a good match. Talk to you later.”
(Stan walks away from Yukon Jack. You hear laughter as Stan turns the corner to another hallway. Yukon Jack takes a big swig of his soda. He walks away from the soda machine. His head is tilted to the ceiling his face filled with perplexing thoughts. He accidentally pumps into WCF ring announcer Kyle Steel. Yukon Jack spills his drink to the cold concrete floor. The cherry coke pools into a brown puddle that looks like Florida.)
Yukon Jack: “Oh, damn it! Son of a bitch.!"
Kyle Steel: "Hey, I am sorry there big guy.”
Yukon Jack: "It's ok! I wasn't yelling at you. I am sorry. I have a lot on my mind and I wasn't paying attention."
Kyle: “Hey, it’s alright. I am sure you have your four way match on your mind. ”
Yukon Jack: "Yes, I have that on my mind."
Kyle: "Your match against NvL was a great debut. You’ll get another shot at him someday.”
Yukon Jack: “I hope I get a shot at him sooner then later. For now I have to deal with this damn clown.
Kyle: "There are two other wrestlers in the ring with you and Switches tonight."
Yukon Jack: "Do you have to say his name?"
Kyle: "Sounds like someone is in your head and you haven't even met him. Plus you should never over look another wrestler. Let alone two in your four way match."
Yukon Jack: "You're right!" (His face looks like he has had a moment of clarity.) "I have to nip this in the bud. I am going up against three wrestlers. Wrestlers! He is a wrestler. Not a fucking clown."
Kyle: "Well, he is both."
Yukon Jack: "Shut up! I have a match to get ready for."
(Yukon Jack steps in the pool of soda as he walks away from Kyle. He continues down the hallway and walks into a dressing room full of other wrestlers. Yukon Jack walks over to his own locker area. He opens his locker door and an object falls from the top shelf onto his foot. He bends over and picks up a burned DVD. On the DVD is a note that reads. “Watch me.”)
Yukon Jack: “What the hell is this guys, some prank on the new guy? This isn’t Alice in Wonderland.”
(The other wrestles ignore him. He walks out of the locker room. He finds a empty room with a TV. and a DVD player. Jack puts the disk in and pushes play. There is a blank screen and shortly we hear a voice. The voice is unrecognizable.)
Voice: “Hello Yukon, I want you to know what and who you are going up against at Slam tonight. Switches is not your everyday wrestler. There is a lot more to him then you know. I have compiled the best matches of Switches. I want you to watch this and study him. You will need all the help you can get when going against a brutal evil villain like him.”
Yukon Jack: “Oh, come on now. He is just a wrestler. This isn't a James Bond film.”
Voice: “Listen to me Yukon, he is more then just a wrestler he is a super villain.”
Yukon Jack: “Give me break. He is just a little crazy and a lot creepy. Plus there are two other wrestlers I have to deal with tonight."
Voice: “Yes, the other two wrestlers are good and capable in the ring, but Switches is the one you need to watch."
(Yukon looks around, kinda freaked he is having a two way conversation with a TV.)
Yukon Jack: “You might be a few cards short of a deck yourself.”
Voice: “I am not crazy Yukon.”
(Jack looks at the TV very confused and nervous about talking with a TV.)
Voice: “I am just trying to help. Watch this tape and learn all you can about Switches. I also put Amanda and Tek at the end of this disk. You should watch out for them as well.
(The video comes to life with Switches entrance theme. Yukon Jack watches as scenes of Switches best matches are on display. He sits in the dark empty room watching in ring action of switches, Tek and Amanda. The light of the TV shines bright on Yukon Jack's face.)
