"Am I that Mouthy?"
Those are the only words spoken in the darkess before the viewers of the video are provided with visual feed. Viewers find themselves in a white room. Nothing is on the wall, nothing on the floor. The room is bare of both color and furniture. Well, except for what Nathan von Liebert has on him today. With so much white, it is hard to determine where the wall is, but Nathan appears to be leaning against something. For once, Nathan is wearing a new shirt, which sports the words "One Invitational 2012 Winner." But besides that, the rest of his clothing is torn and stained.
"When people had given their thoughts on me, I heard a lot of things. I've heard I was crazy. I've heard I was a good wrestler. Skilled in the ring, sadistic, and dirty have also been passed around. I'm a walking test because you can almost attach any adjective in front of me. I fall under almost any category. But looking back, I have never been told I was mouthy.
Granted when I first busted into this business, I told people I wasn going to win my matches. Maybe they thought I was getting ahead of myself but they never called me out for it. And when I won my first four matches, they assumed I could back myself up. A few bumps in my career, and it hasn't hindered me. Especially in WCF, where I am undefeated and backing everything up that I say. I wasn't some Adam Young who said I was going to make you piss your pants. I went out to that ring, and I kicked Adam's ass. I said if we met in the ring, that would be the outcome, and it was. So up to this point, I would've thought I had proven myself a man of action along with a talker. And then Yukon Jack called me mouthy.
And let me tell you, it didn't bother me at all. It was backstage at a house show, not in front of thousands at Slam. I pushed it aside because I really didn't know who he was. No matter how ugly he looks, I took him for a fan and went on my way. His statement merely tells me I've been making impressions. But come to find out this man was in fact a recent signing and he'll be debuting against me this week. And you know what I did? I shrugged. . .
No joke, I shrugged. People tend to shrug when something that doesn't really matters happen. And a match against a rookie was nothing important. Who cares if he called me mouthy? At first all I could think of was I was just going to get a squash win over a rookie, and continue my career here in WCF undefeated. Yukon did not and does not matter because he isn't good enough to beat me. But then something happened and it changed my look at this match. . ."
Nathan points at the camera with his right hand, the red hand.
"My feelings towards this match when you, Corey Black, said I was mouthy. It really wasn't like I was a rookie with no experience. More like I was a rookie that won the first ever One Invitational. But even then that didn't matter. Eventually I was going to get my shot at you and the decision will be made if I was mouthy or you were just stupid. I was going to leave it at that, but Yukon had to stick his fat head into it and really pissed me off.
We all have our opinions. Many people may feel Corey had the best performance at One since he won a Heavyweight championship for the fifth time in his career. He readded his name to a list of dozens other. But a few people, if a few, may feel I had the best performance because I won three matches in one night. And not only that, but I created a list of One Invitational winners. Corey may hold the gold, but I did what no one else has done up to this point. Others will win the tournament in the future, but I was the first to win it.
But really, I got mad over one thing. Corey can back himself when he calls he mouthy. He can thrust his gold in my face, and I'll know he's done more than me. But you, Yukon, have done nothing in WCF. You don't deserve to say anything to me because you are NOTHING! You have not even fought in a single match, and you have the nerve to tell me I'm mouthy. You could've started at the bottom of the list with someone like Tek, but you had to start it with me. And that will be your problem when I kick your ass in that ring.
In fact, I might just cut a promo before our match. I might prolong the beatdown you're going to get. Although it would be better if I cut my promo after I beat you. But what would I say? It isn't like I say I'm surprised I even beat you, because I won't be surprised. How about I bury you in an interview? Or I can join commentary for the matches before and after our match telling how I beat you. I could do so much to prove I'm mouthy, but I don't have to. After I beat you in that ring, they won't remember the mouthy Nathan von Liebert. They'll only be introduced to the untalented Yukon Jack."
Nathan pauses, his eyes going suddenly wide. His left hand reaches for the camera slowly, but Nathan shakes his head, and retracts his moving arm back to his side.
"I really am bored. Not because I have to address a boring person, although that is a good part of it. I'm bored because I don't have any action figures to play with. I went out to go buy a Yukon Jack action figure just for this day, but I unsurprised when I discovered something. There is no action figure for Yukon Jack. It seems I'm not the only one who respects what Yukon did in 2002.
Yukon, I don't care if you don't respect me. Because you are one person. I have others in this federation that hate me to the bone, but they respect what I do in the ring. But no one respects you, Jack. You have done nothing worth earning respect. Granted this is your debut in WCF, but even then I won't respect you. You can go the very next week after our match and beat Corey for the title and you won't have my respect. Because even after all of that, you'll never live down this. I beat you.
And you really haven't done a good job earning any respect. First you called me mouthy, which was a move that required balls, I must admit. Many people in this company will respect you for challenging one of the top rising stars in this company. But when you lose at Slam, and there is no doubt you will lose, all that respect will be gone. Because you made a big move and failed in captializing on it. And your second mistake was saying I claim multi-personality order.
Maybe you won't believe it when I say it. But do you doubt Jeff Purse? He said he has seen it with his own eyes, but you play the "faker" card. And you continue by saying that multi-personality disorder doesn't exist. And maybe your argument would've made more sense if I had thought I was a sailor or something stupid. But even if you're right, which you aren't, then you're just stepping into the ring with a very violent person. Either way, I'm still kicking your ass and injuring you.
But do you know what can be proven a real disorder? It is calling no talent in the ring. And you can look at a few of the matches the last few weeks. My match against Dalton Henry. My match against Adam Young. My upcoming match against Yukon Jack. Wait, you didn't expect me to bring this up without connecting it to you? Until you win a match in WCF, you have no talent. And you won't be winning this week, so no proving to me anything other than what I've already said."
Nathan chuckles, shaking his head.
"But you expected everything I had to say, didn't you. Hank asked your reaction on my reactions, and you listed exactly what I had planned. I called you names. I said I will kick your ass. And it doesn't impress you. But I don't care one bit, because nothing about you impresses me. Not that you wrestled with big names ten years ago. Not that you are getting a bigger match in your debut than I did. Basically you aren't impressive at all."
Nathan leans in closer to the camera, a smirk on his face.
"But out of all of your fluff, you made one remark that sounded right in my mind. Booked for this week, we have a tag team match for the titles. For the Main Event, we'll see The television title put on the line. We have debuts and grudge matches to contend with, but after all of that, our match will come out top. You will come into this match with the crowd behind you because they want to see me lose. I will come in with boos being literally thrown at me, and then we will fight. I will take control early, and leave it open so the fans think you'll make a comeback. I make a mistake, and just when the fans think you're about to captialize, I prove to everyone how untalented you are. We won't have a seesaw match. It'll begin and end with me on top, and I will leave Slam still undefeated. And there is nothing you can do about it."
Nathan stands up, watching the camera.
"Don't think you're just going to be a win for me, Yukon, because you're more than just that. You see from the statement on my shirt, I won at One. I won three matches and show everyone that I was legit. But am I fighting for the Television title? Did staff find me a partner for the Tag Team title shot? Or did I end up fighting a rookie with no chance? You're damn smart if you answered yes to that last question.
When I started out in my career, I told everyone I was going to take opportunites as they came, expecting them to come soon. But even after winning in the Main Event, I earned no shot at gold. And I won't make that mistake in WCF. I won't ask for a title shot, but I won't sit around for them to come either. You, Yukon are merely my statement to staff. When I beat you, I'll be a step closer towards my gold.
At Slam, it will be a fight of two men who aren't perfect. I am a mouthy individual, as several people have stated, and you are an untalented wrestler. Do tell me which imperfection will be the deciding factor. The mouth that won't be used as I let my wrestling ability speak for me. Or the lack of talent that will be evident from bell to bell."
The scene fades out.
