One might think that with two matches ahead of her at ONE Kaylyn would be working her ass off... so that's why it was a complete surprise when the call came for a camera to meet up with her in Vegas. What the hell? That was no where near Philadelphia. Hell, not like Philly was somewhere Kay had not been before... born and raised, she had plenty of time there, and the Wells Fargo Center could just wait for her.
Walking through the halls of the casino, Kaylyn moved past a crowd, getting through rather easily.. outside of those that tried to hit on her of course, and sadly for them.. it was not their lucky night. They should take the hint and leave Vegas before they wasted their money.
“You know... it's been a while since I found myself in these casinos here in Vegas.”
As Kaylyn approached the back of the building to cash in some chips she smiled seeing the manager there.
“Ah! Kaylyn! The last time I seen you was back when you were going by the alias Kelsia Vector!”
“Ah... I remember that as if it was yesterday.”
Kaylyn smirked and laughed softly. Those were the days.
“I guess you have no titles to hand over this time around for collateral?”
“No, not just yet. Anyway, I can piss Seth off without pulling the title gag on him.”
The manager didn't need to ask who Seth was. Knowing what she did the last time she was here was enough.
“Good luck to you Miss Evans, hopefully this time around you will leave just as wealthy as you had the last.”
Kaylyn smiled before getting the cash from her chips from him and heading off with a wave to him. Little did he know she was heading out already for the day, and had already made plenty.
“Ah. So nice when people remember you. More so when it's been two years. Back when I won the ACW World Womens Championship I found myself wanting to piss off Sarah for not letting me vacate the title. She was shocked when she seen me hand the title over to get some money to gamble with. She was even more upset when she seen on camera how bad I was doing. If only she would have known I was planning to count cards once I was off camera so that I would be walking out with the title still in my hands.
Needless to say.. the fine was so worth it. Just to see the look on her face.
What does that have to do with ONE you might ask... simple.
Seth, that's a warning to you. Don't fuck with me... because you have no idea what I am capable of. I have no problem going head to head with you to get what I want. Hell... I guess I should thank Torture for conning you into booking this match at ONE between Fly and myself. I definitely owe him one. So Torture, if you happen to see this... keep that in mind.
Kaylyn winked before turning her back to the camera as she headed through the halls once more heading towards the casinos lobby. Passing through the lobby she headed outside before looking across the road at the Guiliano hotel and Casino where she was still staying. Why did she not use the Casino there to gamble? Simple, she had connections elsewhere obviously.
“They always say what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas. I guess whoever is a believer of that saying has never been to Vegas, because that is far from the truth. One thing that is true however... is what happens in the City of Brotherly Love... is going to be amazing. If I have things my way... I will walk out of my hometown with the Television Title wrapped around my slender waist once more.”
Kaylyn laughed softly before crossing the road, the camera man having to keep up or get hit in the process. Whoops, looks like she didn't care about anyone else's safety. She was silent as she entered the Guiliano Hotel lobby and made her way to the elevator. Entering it and waiting patiently as the doors closed and she was lifted to her floor. Exiting the elevator she headed down the hall once more speaking, this time turning towards the camera as she headed down the hall. Hey, walking backwards wasn't rocket science now.
“So, I find myself going up against Johnny Fly, in a match I was gunning for. Thanks to Torture once again.. I got it. Like they say, if you want something bad enough... go for it, and hell... I want that title around my waist. It was bad enough that I lost to Miles, but to see him walk out of the company vacating the title... Oh hell no was I going to let someone else jump into the match. I made sure to get to Seth about it. While he didn't want to accommodate me, there was another who was more than willing to stand up and help me get what I wanted. Mm, it's good being able to get it all. Now, the only one standing in my way... is you.”
Kaylyn stopped before a door and swiped her card into it before opening it up and stepping into the luxurious room she was currently staying in.
“Come on in and get comfortable. You might be here for a while.”
As she stated such she was taking her shoes off and after doing such went to sit on the edge of the bed before speaking once more.
“Ya see, not only am I in a match for the Television Title.. but I am in this match with someone who doesn't even want to be holding the title. After all, it's a low card title right? Wrong. It's only what you let it become. If you can't hang in the ring, and go against the bigger names.. than of course you will be a low carder, and therefore the title shall be too. When I was holding the Television Title.. I was at the top of this company, and in Main Events as well.
Why is that?
Because I have talent. I have the skill that is needed to make the Television Title more than just a low card title. At one point I had men like Phillip Baines wrestling before my title matches. Now, how does that fit when it comes to the Television Title being a low card title?
Like I said Kid. The title is whatever the one holding it makes of it. I had a long title run, and I beat one of the best at the time to get it. I have no problem going down that road again.. beating whoever I have to, in order to get what I want. If you do any research on me... you will come to notice that. I find ways if need be. I am not above stooping low to get things done. I never have been, and I never will be.
The only thing I am above is sucking the corporate cock in order to get what I want... unless you count my being with Creeping Death while he was the head honcho sucking corporate cock. I tend to not think of it that way. After all, I was with him before he came into that position.”
She laughed softly and winked before continuing.
“So FLY. Tell me something. You seen how I got into this match. If you're so against holding a title that is so call “so low” for you, why the hell didn't you do something about it? Truth be told... because you want some kind of gold around your waist. If you didn't want the shot.. you would have gotten out of this match. With that being said... how's about you keep your mouth shut regarding the Television Title and what it means. Because what is means.. is more than you will ever know. More than you will ever be.
I have heard about things from your past Fly, and honestly.. no matter how much of a bad ass you were then.. it makes no difference now. Everyone can be something, and come to be nothing later down the line. Am I saying you're nothing? No. I didn't say that. What I am saying however is that bad ass that you once were... might possibly still be... it has no affect on me. I have been around, and beaten far too many people who thought, or were, so much more than I was at the time, and I got through the obstacles just fine.
That's what I see you as Jonny. You're just an obstacle in my way to something I want. Something you claim to have no interest in what so ever. So if that really is the case... why don't you just do us all a favor. Don't show up.”
Kaylyn laughed softly before falling back on the bed, and rolling over onto her stomach.
“Not really. Hell, the fans are paying to see us in action, and they will see action. Hey, maybe you might finally have gotten your wish... after all, were you not saying you have not had any real competition?”
Kaylyn smirked before pushing up off the bed and moving to the dresser across the room. Opening the top drawer she pulled out a matching bra and thong set in a light purple color with black lace along the outer edge. Bending over she went into the bottom drawer pulling out a pair of black jeans, and the drawer above it held a light purple tank top that was retrieved before she pushed the drawers closed with her right foot.
“Don't mind me here... I am sure the audience has gotten used to seeing every part of me by now, so ignore my changing while I speak.”
She stated keeping her back to the camera while she pulled off her shirt and tossed it on top of the dresser. Her black skirt came off next, pooling around her feet before she stepped out of it and bent over to pick it up, adding it to the pile on the top of the dresser. Of course the undergarments followed.
“So, while I might be a female, I can assure you that when it comes to getting into the ring with me, I will definitely be competition for you. I don't hold back, and in a federation full of men... you can only expect for me to know how to handle myself. After all.. if I didn't, I wouldn't still be here.”
Her hands reached behind her, doing the strap to keep her bra in place, before she grabbed the thong and bent over, putting her legs through it and pulling it up to cover... well, not her bottom, that was for sure. Before standing upright again, she adjusted herself in the bra, making sure to be perked up just right before grabbing the jeans and pulling them over her long toned legs.
“I have stepped into the ring with the best in the business. Phillip Baines, even though he is no longer here.. he held the Hardcore title for quite some time, and he was definitely not someone to take lightly. Odin Balfore, the current World Heavyweight Champion. Donald Deruty, a former World Heavyweight Champion. Roy Speede... don't even get me started on him right now. Creeping Death. Jay Price. Oblivion. Doc Henry. The list goes on. Sure, I did not win all of the matches, but I walked away from each of them all the same.
There is nothing anyone can do to stop me when I set my mind to something. Whether it be a title I want, or anything else in the world. I get it, even if not the moment I want it. While I might not win against you at ONE, I will be back for the title if that becomes the case.”
The shirt was pulled over her head as she turned around, and pulled it over her assets before straightening it around her waist... or rather, the middle of her abdomen. Always one to show off the toned body she had, she made sure to keep it that way. Never changing for anyone, or thing.
“Now, before I go on... let me make something clear before you go and try to say I don't know what I am talking about. I heard you when you went and “changed your mind” regarding the Television Title. You claimed you would make a difference with it. Sadly... arrogance doesn't help to make a title grow. Arrogance just helps one get their ass kicked all over the place. I guess that's what you want though isn't it? For someone to step up and give you the ass whooping that you deserve?
Trust.
I would be more than happy to be that person. Not sure how you would feel about it. After all, most men don't like being handled by a woman... at least not in the ring. Sure in other ways they wouldn't mind, but what matters now.. is the ring. And when I get into the ring at ONE... I will have already been through a match with Roy Speede, and ya know what.. I will still be coming just as hard when it comes to you.
Well, how can you do that when you won't even be given a break in between?”
Kaylyn laughed softly.
“Easy. I don't need a break. I have no problem fighting one person after the other back to back. I can hold my own and then some in the ring, and out of it. Everyone is going to come to see that soon enough, if they haven't already.
Ya see, most are thinking that I have no shot. At times, I wonder that myself... but I never give up hope. I get in the ring and do what I can to try to win. If I do.. great. If not... I can learn from it and figure out where I went wrong and what I can do to improve. Not being hung up on always winning has its advantages. Hell, most of the time I don't try, and I win. Sometimes when one tries to hard.. that's when they fail the hardest. What's it going to be for you Fly?
I have to wonder what's going on in your head. After all... you were so set to go against Arron Miles... and then.. POOF. He's gone, and someone else jumps in his place... I jumped into his place. I am probably the last person you thought you might wind up going up against, am I right?
You don't have to answer that.. I already know it's the truth.”
Kay stretched her arms up over her head before stiffing a yawn.
“Damn, who knew it would be so tiring talking to you.”
A giggle came from her before she wiped the smile off her face and headed through the room to the bathroom. Her hands ran through her long locks pulling them back, before taking the black elastic band from around her wrist and using it to tie her hair back. Approaching the sink, she turned the faucet on before cupping her hands with water, leaning down, and splashing it over her face. Grabbing a hand towel, she patted her face dry, before using the towel to turn the faucet off with. A small bag lay in the corner left unopened, and while she spoke, she removed some items from within it.
“Don't worry, that wasn't to wake me up. I have plans and need to finish getting ready. I am sure by now you have remembered what it's like to have a life again. Am I right?”
Grabbing the cover up, she put a little in her hands and rubbed them together before running her hands over her face and rubbing the makeup onto her skin, making sure it was a nice thin even coat.
“I guess you should be happy to have at least gotten the information on who you were facing at ONE before the match came along. It gives you a little chance to get to know something about me, and try to prepare yourself... but I must ask you..
How do you prepare for the unexpected?
Are you the type that just makes sure you're well rounded enough to get past anything? I am guessing that is the case, but than again.. I am not you, so who knows.
I can only speak for myself.. and how I prepare for a match. Most have figured out already how that is... and well, since you might not know.. I will fill you in.”
Kaylyn wiped her hands off on the towel before grabbing a liquid eyeliner and opening it up, closing one eye while she spoke, and used the make up over it to make a nice thin line on her lid.
“I don't do anything special at all. I just continue to live my life.”
Opening her eye, she looked at the line she made making sure she was happy with it before moving to do the same to the other.
“I already know how to handle myself in the ring. There is no need to sit around working out day in and night out when I have something figured out well enough. Sure...”
She opened her eyes while closing the eyeliner and tossing it into the bag.
“I might go to the gym here and there and work out, but I don't do it excessively. There is no need to. After all, its not like I have weight to lose or have to get fit to be able to do what I do each and every week. I am in perfect condition, therefore, I am good to go.”
Eye shadow was in her hands next, and she applied it whilst speaking. A light purple to go with her attire of course.
“I am thinking... that from the little I know about you.. well.. I might have just offended you by saying that I was not hitting the gym to prep for you. Then again, you might be thinking that is my biggest mistake.. after all, you're such a great athlete and all.”
Kaylyn rolled her eyes.
“Please. You know how many people have said that? It's really tiresome hearing so many say it aloud. Hell, think whatever you want.. but keep the egotistical opinions to yourself. After all, no one gives a damn about them. I sure as hell don't. Just like I didn't give a damn about anything that any of the others had to say either. I'm sure all you're going to do is mouth off like the rest of them.
Call me a few names.
Tell me how you're so much better than I am.
Am I right? Have I pegged you to a T? I think I have. After all... you all think exactly the same way. More so when it comes to facing me because of me being a female. I think I have only gone against one or two who have not used that against me...
because they were smart enough to know the truth. It doesn't matter what gender one might be.. if they know what they're doing.. they can still come out on top. I have proven that before.. and I am ready to prove it again.”
Tossing the eyeshadow to the counter she grabbed a lip gloss and spread it over her lips. A mauve color. Closing the cap once more she tossed it into the bag and cleaned up the rest of the things before adding a little mascara to her lashes. Once satisfied that too joined the other cosmetics in the bag before she left the bathroom and moved to grab a pair of socks from the top drawer of the dresser, and grabbed her black Reebok's to put on her feet. Sitting once more on the edge of the bed, she got to work while speaking.
“So Jonny, without the h, I guess all I can really say is I hope you don't underestimate me. After all, if you do.. it would be really bad on your part. While I might look sweet and innocent, I am anything but. Ask my manager, she knows it best of all. Why else do you think she is trying to change who I am. Sadly for her... I was always meant to be a bad girl. Nice girls always finish last, and well... that's not how I want to be.”
Smiling she stood up and pulled the hair tie from her hair, putting it back around her wrist and ran her fingers through her straight locks that were surprisingly without the small knot right now. Moving to the door of the hotel she opened it up and closed it behind the camera before heading down the hallway. The second she passed by one of the doors closer to the elevator the door opened and she was pulled inside quickly with the door closing behind her, before the camera could even see who was within the room.
Would Kaylyn even make it to ONE? I guess we would all have to wait and see.
Later that night a message was posted on Kaylyn's website.
BLOG:
It's crazy how things happen... but what's even more crazy is how the mind works. One second you think everything is okay, and the next... well, let's not worry about that right now. There comes a time in everyone’s life where they have to make hard choices, not knowing if the outcome will be truly what they think, or if they are playing into another persons hand and are set to fail. I have a few days to figure out what that might be in my case.. and that's going to require a lot of thinking. Can I just turn around and trust someone because they're telling me to? Should I listen to that voice in the back of my head... the one that's telling me not to believe what I heard? I really have a lot of thinking to do. As if things were not bad enough... I think my concentration was just taken from me again. Could it be that was the plan all along?
Fuck it. Either way... I will figure things out. I'll be damned if I let someone get over on me.
When the camera joined with Kaylyn once more, it was in her home town of Philadelphia Pennsylvania. Where at exactly? The home she had given to her lifetime friends, and practically family members, Tony and Adrean Black. While the house had been comfortable to her when she had lived her, the furniture at current time was not what she had been used to when coming into this home of all places. The first home she purchased on her own. A black couch was centered with a big screen television, and a black love seat was off in the corner. That is where Kaylyn found herself curling up at. Tony and Adrean were not in the room, as far as could be seen, and that was exactly what she had wanted.
A pair of white stretch pants covered those long tan legs that everyone loved to see, and a cream colored sweater rested off one shoulder, but covered her torso that was also usually on display.
"I thought I had everything figured out. Thought I knew exactly what I wanted... but now, I am not so sure any more. I mean... after hearing what Fly had to say.. I should feel this way right?" Kaylyn laugh softly before that smirk came across her face. "Too bad for you Fly, because it didn't work. I am actually absolutely sure that this match is what I wanted.
You were right.. Seth said I was not going to be in this match at all. Why? It wasn't because I don't deserve the chance.. no, not at all. It was because I was in a match already.. not only that, but one that is booked right before the match I will be having with you. Go figure. It's no wonder Seth said no. He was looking out for me, and hell... who could blame him? He needs me here... hell, without me... this place is nothing but a sausage fest.
Then again, for those still in the closet... that would be a good thing." Kay laughed once more before tucking her cotton covered feet under her perfect bottom.
"You know, after listening to your little spiel, I had to stop and think a bit... because half of what you said was completely off the mark. Did you stop for even a small second and check your information? No, you didn't. Instead, you just ran your mouth with the little you knew about me... which was nothing at all. All you knew was I was the Television Champ of the year. That doesn't tell you shit, more so seeing as you thought I couldn't get off the lower card. It's not hard for anyone to do research, although.. one does need to be able to read in order to do such. Maybe that's your problem right there.. after all, you don't need to be able to read to step into the ring. Let me help you out a little in case what I have said days before has not sunk in just yet..
I was not just a mid carder. I was Main Event material even while holding the Television Title. The sooner you realize that.. the sooner you will come to see that this week will not be an easy one for you. Just like going against Miles was not easy for me. I underestimated Miles. I can admit that. I didn't do my homework on him, and that failed me... but I will not make that same mistake with you. I can promise you that one."
Kaylyn grabbed the blanket that was tossed over the back of the couch. A green and black Eagles throw. Of course that's what the two would be sporting. Shake my head. Pulling it over her, she enjoyed the warmth that started to engulf her.
"That head of yours is so fucked up, that you can't even focus on the task at hand. You either think about the past, or the future. What you need to do is worry about the NOW. You want to think about the past? How about that match where you tagged with Roy Speede? Sure, it was you who picked up the pin, but you also stood out on the apron for most of the match. It was Speede who wore your opponents down. So much for what you can do in the ring.
Sure, One on One matches you have walked out of fine. But that too is the past. I am not any of your other opponents. Just because you got through all of them, does not mean you will get through me. You need to stop putting everyone into the same category. It is not you, and then everyone else. You are not a fucking god, and you never will be. You seem to be just another arrogant asshole who thinks their shit don't stink. I think OutKast said it the best. Ya might learn something.. and hell, you don't have to read, you can listen." Kaylyn winked as that smile crossed her face.
"Now, according to the clock, its almost time to get my ass on the road so I get to the arena in enough time to step into the ring not once.. but twice. That there shows I am just as good, if not better than others in the business. If I wasn't good, they would have never booked me more than once. After all, they would be losing out if they did. Before I go however... I have a few more things to say.
First, what history there is between Roy Speede and I has nothing to do with the match ahead of you. My past has nothing to do with the match ahead of you. Nor does the fact that you think I have been on a downward spiral. You might think I have been struggling, but that is not the case. I am far from struggling.
As far as my time as a Television Champion goes... I won the title on May 30th, and I lost it on July 25th. I won it back again August 15th, only to have WCF go on a hiatus just the following week. So tell me.... how the hell does two fucking months define my time here? It doesn't. To be the Television Champion of the fucking Year, while only holding the title for two months... that there tells you that I was a damn good Champion, but not that I was stuck on the midcard. Hell, the last match I was in... was a Main Event match before the business shut down for a short time. So don't think for one second you have me figured out... because you will be sorely mistaken.
The last thing I want to touch base on... is you bringing Torture into this. You can hate the fact that he made sure this match was made... but your best bet would be to keep his name out of your mouth. You really have no idea what you are bringing your way when you run your gums the way you have been. One of these days... someone is going to do something about it, and Tort... is so the type to do just that. You say he knows nothing about what "your" fans want to see... Jonny... he ran this business for a bit there.. he knows what the WCF fans want to see... and they always want to see me. Sounds cocky, I know... but anyone can vouch for that.
With that being said.. Watch yourself Jonny... even a fly on the wall can not tell you what your in store for now. Instead of worrying about Torture... right now, you should be focused on me. I have beat scum like yourself before.. arrogant pricks who think they are gods greatest gift. Hell, you remind me of the same one I beat to win the Television Title in the first place. Kash too thought I had no chance.. it just goes to show, you don't always know everything.
See you in a few hours at ONE."
Walking through the halls of the casino, Kaylyn moved past a crowd, getting through rather easily.. outside of those that tried to hit on her of course, and sadly for them.. it was not their lucky night. They should take the hint and leave Vegas before they wasted their money.
