The sound of silence hit the air as nothing is heard not even a mouse. The picture is black but calmly and neutrally comes into picture with Donald sitting at his Lazy-Boy chair in front of his fifty two inch television. He sits there silently with a Samuel Adams beer in his right hand which is just laying on the right arm rest of the chair. The couch of the same color is sitting there empty with nobody sitting on it. The television changes the particles of television every semi second so show Sports Center on the television screen. The sound comes in for a second, the television can be heard for a semi second until one single sound abruptly interrupts the television. Donald, with the television remote in his left hand, reaches for the television as he hits the mute button on the television. He gets up from the chair as it makes the sound of moving leather. He walks over to the door wearing his unusual attire of jeans and a t-shirt. Donald reaches for the door knob and turns it with one fluid motion of his right wrist. As the door squeaks open, the sight of a formally dressed man standing on the other of the wooden door. The two men seem to know each other as they greet each other in the door way.
Donald Deruty: Marcus...what the hell are you doing here? Shouldn't you be back in the UK?
Marcus Moneybanks: What are you talking about, can I not visit my best friend every once and a while with out being interrogated? Come on Donald, I get enough of that from my wife back home. I don't need it from you...so can I come in?
Donald Deruty: Absolutely, make yourself at home.
Marcus Moneybanks: Thanks, or I would have frozen my ass off out there. Damn man how do manage to live here with it so cold in the winter?
Donald Deruty: Ohh, you get use to it. So Marcus, want a beer? I have plenty!
Marcus Moneybanks: Sure, I will take one. What all you got?
Donald starts to walk towards the open hallway into the kitchen. He reaches the fridge around the corner, and he talks in a vague voice because of the distance.
Donald Deruty: Ohh, all I have left is Samuel Adams. Does that work?
Marcus Moneybanks: Sure.
Donald Deruty: What kind you want? I have shit tones of it left. I was feeling in the drinking mood awhile ago and now I seem to have a change of heart for some reason. So help yourself to anything in the fridge, but don't get too drunk. You have to drive back home remember.
The sound of the beer bottle clanking as he picks it up echoes throughout the entire home of Mr. Deruty's.
Marcus Moneybanks: Yeah, yeah, I know all about it. You don't have to remind me. So, how has life been to you?
The sight of Donald turning the corner with the beer in his hand is seen. He walks to Marcus, which is sitting on the couch, and hands him the beer.
Donald Deruty: Ohh, you know same old shit. Paying bills, living life, the normal stuff nothing extravagant. Just been trying to stay alive, there have been some people around here mugged and I am trying to stay on the better end of that. Other than my neighbors fearing every move they make, I am pretty damn good. What about yourself? I know you have probably been busy with the wife and the kid, how has being the big and bad dad been?
Marcus Moneybanks: Well, you know it is defiantly different for sure. Max is about one and a half now. He is growing too damn fast, he is getting pretty interested into the family business. It seems like every time he sees one of my cigars laying around the place, he has to go and try to retrieve it. Of course the wife isn't to thrilled about his new love, but I think he will defiantly be running the factories long after I am gone. So that is always a good thing to think about, I will be able to pass on my company to someone that I can show and train them the ropes to success and how I want it to be ran after my time comes. He seems to be falling for wrestling a lot too. He is just like myself when I was younger, only this time the father is happy and supportive of his interests. My father would always tell me that the wrestling would rot my brain. It is just a bunch of men in tights grabbing each others asses. Well, I guess it wasn't so much that I liked watching and learning about wrestling. I think I was the rebellious feeling when I did it. Did you notice that every time we went to the wrestling school together it was always my mother picked me up? Well that was the reason, my father didn't approve of it, but my dear old mother would do anything to make me the happiest little boy in the world. I want that for my son, that is why I am going to let him choose his own decisions and what he wants to do and what he loves.
Donald Deruty: Wow, your father talk bores me...
Marcus Moneybanks: Shut the hell up!
Marcus and Donald laugh as they take a drink of their beers before continuing with the reunion of friends.
Marcus Moneybanks: Speaking of wrestling, how has your career been lately in the WCF? I haven't been watching too much. I have been working a lot lately and I just haven't got time. So how has WCF been?
Donald Deruty: Ohh you know the usual. Just been doing my job and trying to stay out of trouble. Doing what I can to get the win and such.
Marcus smiles before replying to Donald.
Marcus Moneybanks: Come on Donald, I know you better than that what have you actually been doing in the WCF? I know you haven't been staying out of trouble.
Donald Deruty: Well, I am in a three round Invitational this week. I am against a bunch of newcomers, but I am not underestimating them at all. I have seen what they have done in their past from research, but then again not much has impressed me. I am still thinking about how I am going to make it to the top once again. I know I am thinking a little ahead of myself right now, but I am just tired at being pushed to the side when I shouldn't be. I should be at the top, a main eventer, yet they just over look me. I am hoping this Invitational will help me get back to the top soon enough. Although, before that I need to get through my first round of the Invitational before I can worry about that.
The first man that I will be facing is Adrian, a old friend of mine when I was in that WCF Tag Team Tournament. He was part of the group called MS-13. Do you remember them? I don't remember if they were past your time there in the WCF.
Marcus Moneybanks: Well actually that was about a little before me and you were a tag team for that short time. Then I moved back to my old federation in the singles division. I believe I do remember them so some extent. Not fully but I do remember them a little. Wasn't the sort of leader was Hector Rodriguez? The guy that was your partner during the tournament?
Donald Deruty: Indeed. Hector was the man that lead the MS-13, but he was then again Gravedigger after he revealed who he really was when he won the World Championship. His friend Adrian attacked me last week, but I don't know if he has anything to do about it. The MS-13 seems to have their own mind right now. If he did set that attack up then I don't know why the hell he would of told him to attack me. No matter who told Adrian to attack me, or where he got the idea to attack me. I am going to make him pay for his actions last week when I beat him and move on to the next round or the WCF One Invitational. Then I would move on to the next round and face the...
The sound of the door bell echoes throughout the room once again. Donald takes a sip of his beer before setting it down on the coffee table next to the chair. He then gets up from the chair to walk up to the door to answer it.
On the other side of the door was none other than Ashley Davis! The blonde was dressed in a pair of black jeans and a yellow shirt, covered mostly by a black jacket that fell around her thighs.
Donald Deruty: Ashley, what are you doing here? I didn't know you were coming over.
Ashley smiled softly before biting on the inside of her lip.
Ashley Davis: "I know, I should have called. I thought I would surprise you..."
Donald Deruty: Well you definitly did that. Would you like to come inside? I have company, but i am sure he wouldn't mind at all
Ashley looked hesitant for a moment since he stated there was company there.
Ashley Davis: "I really don't want to intrude.. only a short moment."
Donald Deruty: Ok well, you want me to walk you to your car and we can talk about it?
Ashley nodded stating that would be fine before turning and walking back towards the car in silence for a moment. After getting to the car she leaned against the drivers door before speaking.
Ashley Davis: "I really didn't mean to intrude while you were entertaining someone."
Donald smiled before replying back to her.
Donald Deruty: Please, you aren't intruding at all. It is just a old friend, I have all the time in the world. Don't worry about intruding, so whats up?
Ashley felt a little less bad for arriving unexpectedly after he stated that.
Ashley Davis: "Well, I was just thinking.. about starting the New Year off right. Are you up for doing just that?"
Donald smiles again.
Donald Deruty: Absolutely, what did you have in mind?
Ashley laughed softly and pushed off the car door.
Ashley Davis: "I guess you will have to join me this evening to find out, now, wont you Mr. Deruty?"
A small wink came from Ashley as she opened her car door slightly, holding her hand onto the frame while watching him.
Donald Deruty: Ohh, ok if your going to be secerative like that, i don't know if i will be able to make it. How do i know it wont be a torturous time? I am a little hazy.
Donald winks at her showing the following statement was a joking matter as a small smile pops on his face
A soft laugh came from Ashley before she spoke once more.
Ashley Davis: "I'll meet you here around ten then. Is that enough time for you?"
Donald Deruty: Absolutely! Sounds like fun.
Ashley Davis: "Great, see you tonight then."
Leaving that smile on her face, she opened the door slightly more on the yellow Convertible before seating herself within in. Closing the door she started the engine after putting the key within the ignition. Rolling the window down she looked up at him.
Ashley Davis: "Dress however you wish. I can guarantee however, it's going to be a night you'll never forget."
Donald then leans up to the driver's side window with his arms cross over the bottom of the opened window.
Donald Deruty: Same to you, and i don't even get a sneak peak?
Donald smiles and winks after making the question to Ashley.
Hearing his words Ashley shook her head softly.
Ashley Davis: "Now, what would be the fun in that?"
She asked softly before leaning up and capturing his lips with her own, her left hand moving around to the back of his head, while her fingers ran through his hair. After a short moment she pulled back before gathering her wits once more.
Ashley Davis: "See you this evening, Mr. Deruty."
Donald then steps back away from the car, giving her room to drive down the road.
No sooner did he step back, Ashley turned her attention to the road ahead of her and took off down it leaving Donald to attend to his company once more.
He heads back to the door and opens it to find Marcus sitting there with the biggest smirk on his face. He looks at Donald as he sits and takes another sip of his beer. The two men look at each other for a while before Marcus finally seems to break the ice by interrogating Donald about what just happened.
Marcus Moneybanks: Umm, Donald. May I ask you a question?
Donald gets an odd look on his face, a look that suggests that he is rather confused by Marcus asking permission to ask a question.
Donald Deruty: Sure, why not. Whats up?
Marcus Moneybanks: Who in the hell was that?
Donald Deruty: Ohh, it is just a friend of mine from the WCF. She is a manager there for a fellow competitor and we hang out since she doesn't know anyone else in the WCF right now. So I am just giving her a warm welcome.
Marcus Moneybanks: Come on Donald, cut the horse shit! I have never seen you look at a woman like that before. She must be special to you or something.
Silence goes throughout both of them before Marcus talks once again.
Marcus Moneybanks: Dude, don't leave a brother hanging. Don't give me this we are just friends shit. I know how you act around friends, and that was defiantly not how you act around friends like that. What is up with the hot blonde?
Donald Deruty: I really don't know man, it is just...it started out like a friendly thing, but the more time I spend with her the more I just get this feeling in my gut. I don't know what it is about her, I just feel like a totally different person around her. Everything seemed to be a living hell for me until she came along. I started winning more matches, I was focused more. I don't know what the hell it is man. I just don't get it at all, wouldn't I be more distracted than focused when I am around her?
Marcus Moneybanks: Well Donald, I know how hard you train. You are training too hard and having some fun helps you focus and not worry so much like you usually do. You need to relax some times and you definitely haven't done that until then. Donald I think her being with you is really going to help you get better, you will be more relaxed in that ring and it will help you perform better. Although relaxing is a good thing, don't do too much relaxing.
Donald Deruty: Why do you sound like you know so much? I do believe I have done something in my wrestling career that you never did. Win the World Championship.
Marcus Moneybanks: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know. Just don't go over board with that cockiness Donald. You know what happens then, you have been the one to beat the ones who think they can walk into the ring and beat anyone with an arm tied behind their back. Don't forget how you got here and what you did to get here.
Donald Deruty: Ok Dr. Phil. Are you done?
Marcus Moneybanks: Umm...yeah I think I am.
Donald reaches for the coffee table besides him. He seems to be looking for something specific. His hand finally grabs a silver watch that is sitting on the table. He picks it up and looks at the time on the clock. It is about the time that the sun drops. Donald places the watch back on the table before speaking back to Marcus.
Donald Deruty: Well, I better be training for my matches at One.
Marcus looks at his wrist watch to check the time as well.
Marcus Moneybanks: Ohh man, I better be going as well. I don't want to be too late to get home.
The two men get up leaving the beers on the respected coffee tables. They make it to the door when they shake their hands before saying their goodbyes.
Donald Deruty: See yeah Marcus, I hope you can make it back some time soon. Also have a happy New Year.
Marcus Moneybanks: Well thanks Donald, you have a good one yourself, also don't worry. I will get away from the old ball and chain once again.
Marcus then turns and walks out the door to his car that is sitting in the drive way. Donald shuts the door behind him and begins to speak to the camera as he goes to his coffee table to retrieve his beer.
Donald Deruty: Adrian, you are a man that has everything to prove in this match at One. You have showed nothing but fear in your entire career here in the WCF, You have also been the one that has had everything given to yourself. The MS-13 has given you every single thing you have accomplished here in the WCF. Adrian, at One there will be no MS-13 by your side. It will only be me and you in that ring at One big boy. I am not a big fan of others getting anything that they don't deserve in this company and that is what you are built around. Your a man sucking on the success tit of the MS-13, and that is all you will be able to do your entire career, just keep on sucking away. You will never be able to have any success without the MS-13, and better yet, you haven't had any accomplishments with the MS-13 as well. You are just a disgrace to the human race. Adrian, I will out you in your rightful place at One. I was fine with you until you went personal with that failed attempt of taking me out last week at the Of the Year awards show. Adrian, you have made a very bad mistake about attacking me, and I will make sure that you will pay for it.
After I defeat Adrian, I will be moving on to the next round of the competition and I will face one man in the group of Adam Young, Night Rider, Nathan von Liebert, Joel Hall, Blade LaVigne, Jeff Purse, and Buzzsaw Bundy. First I would like to talk about the man that I have the most respect for in the series of those men, Buzzsaw Bundy. Buzzsaw, like I just said I have the worlds of respect for you here in this company. You are one of the only men left that still has the same thoughts of winning with pride and winning because you are simply better, not allowing anyone to help you win the match for you. Bundy, I wish you the best of luck in the Invitational.
Next we have the man that is on the other side of the ring during the first round of the One Invitational. Joel Hall, a man that has been in the WCF for a while before he returned as Joel Hall. He was an extreme luchador known as El Mideo Extremo. It seems that he is back and as a new personality as well. Joel we have never met in the ring before. Even though you have not commented on anything match related as of late. Joel, I will tell you what I told Adam Young a couple of days ago. You must prove yourself to be known as the extremist that you call yourself. You can't just have people believe that you are the person you say you are by just vocally saying it and not proving it to anyone. Joel, you tried this once before, what do you think going into the ring without a mask will make different? You will be the same man, and the same style as before. Joel, you really need to show yourself as the man that you claim yourself to be. If you think you are going to be the extreme man that you claim you are. You must show that you are willing to make the risks like you claim you will. Joel, you have not shown anything yet. Joel, I wish you the best of luck in the One Invitational, but you better not be on the other side of the ring with me. If you are, I will definitely make you an extremist, but it wont be the kind of extremist that you want to be.
Speaking of Adam Young, I only have one thing to say to you Adam. You better be on your A game come the time at One when you have to walk into that ring. You will have a hell of a challenge ahead of yourself. I mean sure you have been able to pull out a tag team win every once and a while, but this is singles division. This is a whole different thing besides tag teaming. Adam you must remember this, you are going up against many different men that are use to the singles division. If we are in the ring together then I can guarantee you that it will not be you coming out on top of our match.
Donald puts down his beer on the kitchen counter before speaking to the camera once again.
Donald Deruty: Next is the group of Nathan von Liebert, Night Rider, and Blade LaVigne. You, guys I just have the same thing to say to you all. I know that you all have come from the company ACW after it was shut down. I just want to give everyone of you a little bit of advice. Don't underestimate your opponents what so ever. I have heard words from Nathan and Night Rider about stomping over the competition. How can you guys make that assumption when you guys are just a gothic man that looks like a dropped Twilight character and a man who fell for a certain someone in the ACW. Yes, Night Rider, I do my homework. I know about your little love connection with yourself and Kaylyn. I heard that she just threw you into the trash, how do we know that you aren't just following her over here? Anyways I wish you the both of luck in your matches and the luck that you will not be on the receiving end of what I can do in that ring come Sunday.
Finally is a man that claims that I am nothing more than a fictional cartoon character named Donald Duck. This man is called Jeff Purse, one of the men that I actually did some searching on considering his record here in the WCF already. Jeff, I know that you were in the ACW before you came here. If my searching is true then you were never the one to win any of the championships in the ACW before it closed down. Jeff, you claim that I am filled with hot air and nothing else. Well I am sorry to disappoint you Mr. Purse, but I worked my way up to the top. I worked my ass off to get where I am, and I am not going to let you stop me. I have faced Hall of Famers and I have beat many of them, what have you done? Won about 7 matches your entire wrestling career? I believe that you are the one with hot air in your head. What makes you think you can walk all over me at One? That is the thought that I am getting from you. I mean, a man that plays with dolls? Jeff, I have faced many men like you before. I don't think that this time will be any different. If you can even make it far enough to face in the ring at One. If anything you should be honored to be mentioned in the same card as some as myself, let alone fighting for the same prize for the Invitational.
Jeff, another thing that you claim is that my fans will be disappointed on me losing to you at One, well that is true Jeff. Indeed they will be disappointed. They would be disappointed that I would be lose to a loser like yourself. I can make sure that they will not be disappointed at all come One, especially because of yourself. The reality is that you will never be good enough to beat me, you never will be able to beat me. You see I was like you once, a newcomer of the WCF and looking towards my successful future here in the WCF. There was people that kept telling me that I was never going to make it to the big leagues. I would always be at the bottom of the food chain, they would almost taunt me about it. There was no stopping it, I have beaten everyman that has said I don't deserve this and I don't deserve that. I know a man that is a little too cocky and I am talking about him right now. Jeff, everyone that said I would result into nothing but a big pile of failure made one giant mistake. They over looked my potential. They went into a match against me thinking it would be a walk in the park. I will not make the mistake that my victims have made. Jeff, I can promise you that you will not be the one winning the prize at the end of One, because I will be the one to win the entire thing. I will win the prize, and nothing, or no one will be able to stop me...Happy New Years to all of you.
The scene fades out pitch black.
