You know what? We are both wrong. Brad Kane didn't bring you back for nostalgia purposes. Neither did he bring you here for the reasons that you're going to "push me to the limits". It's neither, kid. The very reason he brought you here was because of me. Kevin Hardaway. In the flesh as we know it. He brought you here because he's laughing his ass off right now. Tonight is going to be the greatest night of his life, if you can beat me up to the point where I can't even face Brad next month, and if he can become the new champion.
He's tired of facing me, and simply because he thought I looked like a lost puppy out there, he felt bad. So guess what he did...he added injury to insult. He called you up and told you to take care of the little engine that could.
And maybe I do make a big deal over nothing sometimes, but hey...that's just the way I am. I have no idea how many times I went somewhere, made my mark in, and then walked out while the place crumbled behind me, whether or not it was a good or bad decision.
Your statistics, I don't care about. You want to talk about your style, the craft that you've been honing for, for about a couple years? Go ahead. It's all words, kid. This isn't the place. This is a different place, man. You're back in the WCF. It's like riding that first bike of yours. Or that first car of yours. And I know that you're now in this bigger place, with smarter people, with smarter styles. But when you go back to the place where it all started...are you going to be able to pick up your first bike or car and ride it like the top class?
So that's it. I'm done talking. And it's official...
