:::The night before Ten:::
The video cuts on in the middle of a bar. It's not one of those sports bars where crowds gather around for big sports games or on the weekends for the big wrestling, boxing, and MMA pay-per-views. It's also not one of those bars that the college kids and young people come into all the time. This bar has that kind of feeling and look about it, both inside and outside where it's one of those bars that you just have to know it's there. It's not easy to find and it's a little out of the way. Because of this, every time the door is opened and the little bell on the door is triggered, everyone in the bar looks up.
The bar isn't even that full despite being a Saturday night. Three or four guys sit at the big bar, and then a couple of tables are taken up, a couple are sitting down at one of them. The bartender is drying out glasses with a towel and stacking them back up where they belong. He looks up as the door opens and the bell rings. In walks Don Bradley. Don takes off his hat and jacket and hangs them on the coat hanger by the door.
Bartender
Hey, Don. How you doing?
Don walks over to the bar with a shit-eating grin and says the next thing in a phony Italian accent.
Don Bradley
Heyyyyy Tony, how you doin?
The bartender looks at him pissed off.
Bartender
Don, I told you to stop doing that you asshole. I'm not Italian.
Don laughs as he sits down at the bar and pats the space in front of him. The bartender immediately pours a drink, apparently Don is a regular here as he doesn't even ask what he wants. Don glances around and waves at a couple of people who smile and return his wave. He finally turns back to the bartender.
Bartender
So, where's Hector?
Don Bradley
He's been with his new manager all day today. She took him on a photo shoot for the pay-per-view, then they went to the gym so Hector could work out some, and then they're getting some food right about now.
The bartender takes his towel and starts wiping down the bar with it as he talks to Don.
Bartender
Is he ready?
Don gives the bartender a surprised look.
Don Bradley
Is Hector ready? Pfft, the better question to be asked would be if Conviction and Ace Slaughter are ready. Hector is definitely ready. He was ready all along. He's been ready for this match since he stood in the ring waiting for JJ Biggs all those months ago who ended up no-showing his first match.
Don takes a few sips from his drink.
Bartender
The thing I'm wondering is how exactly does MS-13 figure into all of this?
A few people in the bar get uneasy at the mention of that name.
Don Bradley
Well, it's funny how everyone is looking at this. Hector's new manager is a member of the gang. Once everyone found out that MS-13 was back Hector, what's the first thing people start running their mouths about?
Don Bradley puffs up his chest for the next part.
Don Bradley
You bring your whole gang down there, I'll take them all on.
Don unpuffs his chest.
Don Bradley
It was never said that the whole gang was coming down there like those schmucks said. Yeah, it's true that there will be members out in the crowd, but it's not like there's going to be a giant sign that says MS-13 here and points down at them. They're not going to be hidden either. They're just going to be there because they are wrestling fans, too. Will MS-13 ever get involved? If they have to. This is all part of a plan. This whole plan was set into motion when we realized that Carlos was holding Hector back. I'm not talking about when Hector realized that he no longer needed Carlos. See, the thing is, Hector didn't want to believe that Carlos was holding him back.
Both myself and Hector's new manager showed him all this from a fresh perspective. Even then, he didn't believe it, until he was in that match with Machine. That's when Hector realized we were right and took matters into his own hands. The moment Roger went to the agency to find someone, I knew it would be a joke. I don't go to the agency. I have my own list of other managers for situations like this. When Hector first joined WCF, Roger didn't go to the agency and find me. We had known each other for a long time. Just like I've known this new manager for a long time. We're not flying by the seat of our pants here. It's all planned out. MS-13 will arrive in WCF this Sunday at Ten. MS-13 will put a chokehold on WCF. We know how things work around here. We know how people will react. The reactions of Conviction and Ace Slaughter are no surprise. A guy like Conviction, he's scared. He knows he's not sitting up in his mansion with all that security and his guns up in his house. No, he's going to be in a wrestling ring with no one to protect him except for himself. The only thing is, both Hector and Ace are going to be constantly beating his ass.
Bartender
That Ace Slaughter is some piece of work. He spent all week trying to fool you guys.
Don Bradley takes another sip of his drink.
Don Bradley
See, that whole thing is funny. Having him on TV going HAHA I fooled you both HAHA. It's hilarious. Really? He spends half the week before the match putting on this act. Trying as hard as possible to fool everyone into thinking he's crazy and then he finally stops and laugh at us for believing it. What exactly does that accomplish? See, that makes me think one of two things about Ace. It makes me think that either he is demented and crazy, but not in the way he wants to be thought of. OR it makes me think the guy is just a drama queen. He wants the attention of everyone so he gets the police, some ambulance drivers, and some midgets and pays them to go on this adventure of his and try and help everyone think he's crazy. It was pointless. And like I said right before he reaveled it, that it could be a joke that everyone was in on. It looks like I was wrong about Melissa but the rest knew.
I've gone back and watched recent footage from WCF since Ace entered the federation. Between then and now, he's gone from borderline crazy to perfectly normal, to crazy again and then normal again but this time it was a joke. Just like I'm starting to think Ace himself is a joke. No one really cares that the guy put on a joke. They just think that Ace himself is a joke and isn't focused on Sunday's match.
Bartender
You catch the part where he said that how he acts is his own business and no one else's?
Don Bradley nods and laughs.
Don Bradley
See, that right there actually is funny, because you can tell that Ace actually meant that. Ace proved right there that he's slowly sliding down the pole of intelligence, the only thing stopping him will be Conviction's big head. You can't go on TV and act nuts and crazy and then expect people to not say anything about it. Ace was an idiot to say that. When you do something in front of a camera and it airs on TV or on the Internet, whatever you did BECOMES public property and gives everyone the right to say whatever they want. Ace needs to realize that if it's no one's business how he acts, then next time he might not want to act that way in front of a camera. Someone needs to learn how the media works.
Don stops and takes a couple of more sips of his drink.
Don Bradley
I think it's also funny how the guy goes into this whole tirade near the end of his segment on TV talking about how Conviction and Hector did nothing but whine and bitch the whole time about what Ace was doing on TV. The thing is while the guys is yelling at the TV all he's doing is whining and bitching himself. I mean, he sits there all week pretending to be crazy and then pops out this time and goes haha I was joking then gets an angry face and starts fussing at his opponents for supposedly bitching about what he did.
Yeah, they had a problem with Ace's actions because they wanted a real opponent. They wanted to face someone who was taking the match seriously, not running around on TV making a mockery of it all. He also wants to sit there talking about how his wrestling skills will do his talking, but the numbnuts forgets that the whole point in the wrestlers appearing on the microphone is to get the fans ready, give them a taste of what's going to happen at Ten. What are fans thinking now when they look at the match? They look at Hector Rodriguez and Conviction jawing at each other all week and think that they'll be brawling in the ring while Ace Slaughter will be running around to the cameras going FOOLED YOU all match long and then finally he'll hear the bell and look into the ring to see either Hector or Conviction laying on the mat while the other stands above him holding the US title belt over his head.
Bartender
Yeah, then Ace will jump into the ring with a microphone and take it and yell something about how he tricked everyone into thinking he was ready for the match. FOOLED YA and tell the referee to restart the match.
Don Bradley and the bartender both start cracking up.
Don Bradley
That's fine though. Let him not take this seriously. He'll start taking it seriously when Hector takes his head off with a clothesline from hell. That will knock some sense into him. I said the other week that the tag team match would be a preview of this Sunday and it will. Hector is going into this match on the heels of victory. Conviction and Ace will fall to the Mexican Machine. With Hector's new manager, WCF will get a small taste, the amount of an appetizer, of MS-13. MS-13 is on its way to WCF. They can talk all the trash they want about them, make fun of them all they want, but when they get wrecked and are left bloody by them, don't come crying to anyone about it. Oh and just so no one thinks this, I'm not going to walk out to the ring with Hector tonight and get on the mic saying HAHA FOOLED YA like some of the other idiots around here. Hector WILL have a new manager.
Hector will have a new manager, new mask, and new music. 2010 is the year of Hector Rodriguez. He will continue his path of dominance tonight when he pins one of them in the center of the ring.
The video slowly cuts out as Don finishes his drink.
