This is just a thought that I've been juggling lately, but yeah. I was wondering if there's any possibility of finding a way to allow people to expand their character profiles to portray any additional information they may want known.
I wasn't sure if the best way to do this would be simply replying to our own sign-up threads, or if there was some kind of way to do this without bumping our own threads in the process.
Obviously I'm aware of the big-ass 'edit' button on the right of the posts, but I know if somebody's bare bones bio is like 6k long and I'm writing their match then I'm going to skim the fuck out of that, select a few signature moves and write the match completely on a whim.
My thought; was that people who want to, could break their bio up into a number of seperate posts from within the same thread. Using the following as an example.
1st Post in Topic - WCF Bio as normal. (mandatory)
2nd Post in Topic - Expanded moves, in-ring behaviours etc. (optional, more of a gift to match-writers)
3rd Post in Topic - Match History (optional, a list of matches and their results which have involved your character.)
4th Post in Topic - Bibliography (an index of sorts; showcasing past-promos)
5th Post in Topic - Any additional information: eye colour, fav phrases, sexual orientation... whatever.
Stay with me here, because I know that's a fuck lot of unnessecary shit.
I'm not saying everybody should do this or that the above is the best way to go about it. I'm simply spitballing here as I've been keen to update David's bio but wanted to do so in a way that makes him easier to write for others as well. The bibliography and match history part would obviously need updated a lot; so I'm aware it's not going to be for everyone. Just wanted to gauge people's thoughts and see if there's a way to do this that's escaped me.
I used to have a Wikia for Sanchez... but yeah, I had kids, got engaged and took up adulting. So I kinda need all my make-believe in one managable location.
Thoughts?
