*Sorry in advance guys but I've been sick and overwhelmed with work this week but didn't want to no show*
Again?
What's up WCF nation? It's Adam Burnett here once again and I'm happy to be in front of you. As you all know I was a little unhinged last week about the whole Alpha Title contendership process and I believe rightfully so but don't worry, everything has been squared away. I showed up last week and Seth took the time to talk to me and let me know what the plan is going forward. He was respectful and showed me that he truly cares about me working for him. Oh wait....that didn't happen. In fact the exact opposite happened! Seth ignored my phone calls, dodged me at the arena and to top it all off, we know that Jace Wilds is getting the Alpha Title match at Rise Up. To say that I'm still a little angry is an understatement.
To top it all off I lost my first match here last week to Ethan King and that also sucked. It was a bad week for Adam Burnett and while some would use this as the moment to fade into the background and become a guy that just gets thrown into the occasional battle royal, I plan on using all of these things to fuel my drive even more. I am not a guy that will give up. I didn't give up in the indy's when it looked like I was going to be stuck there forever. I didn't give up when my first trainer left me and screwed me out of my money. I didn't give up when my family ditched me. I persevered through all of that to become a member of this roster and the number one contender to the Alpha Title. I don't care what Seth or the announcers or anyone else wants to say on TV or Twitter or Facebook or Snapchat or any other media. I am the true number one contender to that Alpha Title and if I don't get my shot at Rise Up, I will continue to do what I do in the ring until I get it.
I know that most people expect me to call out Jace Wilds for maneuvering his way into the title match at Rise Up but I don't plan on doing that. I've seen Jace Wilds. He has been real impressive since I got here and to be honest, he deserves a shot at the Alpha Title. He has pushed his way through matches like I have in the past and I have been impressed with him to say the least. So as I stand here today I want to say this to you Wilds, congratulations on the win at Slam. You beat three other people to earn this shot and I'm happy for you. If it's not me facing O'Neal at Rise Up than I am happy that it's you. I believe you can beat him and prevent him from cashing in that title for a shot at Joey Flash or Steven Singh. I know that's his plan and I just hope you can stop him.
As far as this week Wilds, we are in a weird tag team match with you being Ethan King's partner and myself being with Jason O'Neal. I honestly wish I was teaming with you instead of with O'Neal. I think we could take it too him and King but unfortunately that is not the hand that we have been dealt. I hope that you look at this as an opportunity just like myself and that when that bell rings, we can walk into the ring and shake hands like men before competing. We both know that are partners would never do that but I hope that you have enough respect for the situation we are in to do that with me.
I do have some advice though Wilds. Watch your back. Ethan King will walk out on you and leave you in a bind if he has too. It's the way that he thinks. He is all about himself and preserving his own well being rather than winning a match. He isn't like me. Last week King took it to me and it took a lot to keep me down. He knows that I have a lot of heart and I fully believe that he is now scared to get back in the ring with me. I could see it in his eyes after the match. He went in thinking that I was a nobody and when I kept fighting back, he realized that we were one move away from me winning the match. He doesn't want to get back in the ring with me because he knows the next time will be different.
I would love to sit here and call you out King but you beat me. Straight up. I have respect for that and I would hope you have respect for me to after the last few things that I said but we both know that you'll never admit it. So with that said, good luck to you at Slam. I look forward to getting a shot at you even though it's not a fair shot. Why isn't it a fair shot? Because of my partner.
If there is one person that has been the luckiest this past couple weeks it is you Jason O'Neal. You and I both know that if we were to fight for that Alpha Title at Rise Up in a one on one match, you wouldn't get a chance to cash in that belt. I know everything about you and I've been scouting you for weeks. I can see the different moves that you were taught by Johnson and that is because I was taught the same moves. It would be an even fight that would come down to heart and we both know that I have more of that than you. That is why I will not be surprised if you decide to hit me in the back of the head on Sunday or as I go for a tag you hop off the ring apron and desert me. Go ahead and do it. I dare you because I plan on fighting to the end, win or lose.
This Sunday will be a chance for me to show why I deserve to be in that Alpha Title match and I plan on proving why I am the true number one contender.
