The scene opens with Captain Pantheon sitting at a sushi bar, about to enjoy a large plate of his favorite sushi rolls. The Captain unfolds his napkin and tucks the corner of it into his costume top, making a nice bib to protect his black and white getup. Cap stares at the delicious mini tires in front of him, rubbing his hands together in anticipation of his scrumptious lunch. Just as Captain Pantheon is about to pick up his chopsticks to dig into his food, someone sits down in the seat next to the costumed warrior, making him put his mealtime on hold.
Captain Pantheon: “Master Chen! I not see you since that day at The Pagoda! How you been?!”
The older Asian gentleman with the white fu manchu beard smiles and nods ever so slightly to the champion wrestler.
Master Chen: “Captain, it’s very nice to see you again, young man. I have been well, how have you been? I know the last time I saw you, you were dealing with some personal issues.”
Cap beams back at his old Asian friend and leans back in his chair. The Captain pats the shiny silver belt around his waist with both hands.
Captain Pantheon: “I doing very well now! The advice you give me that day help me out very much with the problems I was having! With your words, I see what is important and I make sure ever since to be best tag partner to my friend, Stefan Sing, that I can be!”
Master Chen nods while staring at the menu in front of him.
Master Chen: “That’s very good to hear. It sounds like you’ve figured out what’s really important in your life. Make sure you regularly take time to evaluate your actions, staying true to who you are will help lead you to continued self-improvement.”
Hearing Master Chen’s words reminds the Captain of his other recent accomplishment.
Captain Pantheon: “Speaking of self-improvement, I earn my orange belt from my martial arts school last week too!”
The older Asian man chuckles.
Master Chen: “Wow young man, it sounds like you’ve had quite a good run lately. Keep working hard like that and you’re going to be the best version of yourself that you can be.”
Captain Pantheon nods, as he picks up his chopsticks and pops the first roll from his plate into his mouth.
Captain Pantheon: “I know people in United States sad about everyone dying and recent erection results, but this been best year of my life! I can’t wait to see what 2017 have in store for the Captain!”
Master Chen looks away from the menu to look at Cap and sees that the masked wrestler is busy scarfing down his food.
Master Chen: “I think you mean ‘election’ results, Captain… but yes, keep that optimism going. Are you done wrestling for the year then?”
Captain Pantheon takes a sip of his tea before answering.
Captain Pantheon: “Yup, my next match is on January 1st…”
The Captain has a concerned look form on his face.
Captain Pantheon: “But to be honest, I not looking forward to this match.”
The old Asian man frowns.
Master Chen: “As long as I’ve known you, I’ve never seen you not excited to be in a wrestling match. What makes this one different?”
Cap picks up another roll and tosses it into his mouth.
Captain Pantheon: “Well it a four way match, which I have no problem with the match type. And if I win match, I get to enter special match at the end of the night that ruling overlord master of WCF, Sef Lich, call a “New Year Bish’ Match.”
Master Chen strokes his white beard.
Master Chen: “Hmm, well that sounds like it should be an interesting opportunity. What exactly is the problem you have with the match then?”
Captain Pantheon remains silent for a moment before answering.
Captain Pantheon: “…I have no problem facing two of the opponents in the match. I’ve wrestled Satan Leopard and Jameson Money many time before. I know what it take to beat them, since I’ve done it, so I going to give them the usual best fight that my super hero power will allow. But then there the third opponent in match…”
The Captain pauses once again, finding it difficult to say the name.
Captain Pantheon: “I don’t know how they expect me to fight my tag partner, Stefan Sing!”
The martial arts master nods, finally understanding Cap’s problem with his match.
Master Chen: “Ah, I see why you may have a problem with this particular matchup. Are you afraid that you won’t be able to beat your partner?”
Cap looks down at the floor, thinking of how to answer the question presented.
Captain Pantheon: “I don’t think it’s that I CAN’T beat him, I think it’s that I don’t WANT to beat him.”
Master Chen now wears a confused look on his face.
Master Chen: “You don’t want to win the match?”
Captain Pantheon scratches the back of his head.
Captain Pantheon: “I mean I do want to win match, but…”
The Captain looks down at the title belt around his waist.
Captain Pantheon: “I feel like I owe Stefan a lot for helping us hold on to our championship, and to be honest, I think he deserve to win this match more than me.”
Chen takes a sip of his freshly brought over tea.
Master Chen: “I think I may have a quote that can help you in this situation. ‘A champion needs motivation above and beyond winning.’ I think that your friendship with Mr. Singh is the motivation you may need to continue performing at your best in and out of the wrestling ring.”
Cap’s mouth hangs open as he soaks in the wisdom from the old man next to him.
Captain Pantheon: “Wow, that quite the quote there! Was that said by great martial arts master of years past?!”
Master Chen smirks.
Master Chen: “No, that was said by professional basketball coach, Pat Riley…but it’s a good quote nonetheless.”
Captain Pantheon laughs.
Captain Pantheon: “It is good quote, but what can I do in this match if I don’t want to fight Stefan?”
Chen pushes his long, white beard to the side so that it doesn’t end up in his tea.
Master Chen: “Well instead of trying your best to win, why don’t you try your best to make sure that Steven wins? Every time you see him in trouble or see an opportunity for him to take advantage of a situation, you help him out.”
The Captain puts his finger up in the air.
Captain Pantheon: “So basically, it will be like tag team match with both of us in ring at the same time, and I just need to make sure he get win? … that’s perfect! I still get to put on best show I can AND I get to watch Stefan win match that he deserve to win!
Thank you, Master Chen, you help me yet again!”
Master Chen takes another sip of his tea.
Master Chen: “You’re welcome, Captain. I hope that you are able to come up with a plan to best accomplish your goal. And judging by the last time I gave you advice, I think you’ll do just fine.”
Cap finishes eating his last sushi roll and stands up. He bows to the old Asian master and places some money on the bar counter.
Captain Pantheon: “Thank you again, Master Chen! You are true friend to the Captain, and I going to do my best to make you proud of me!”
Chen smiles.
Master Chen: “Don’t worry about my happiness; just keep being the good person that you are. That is reward enough for me.”
Captain Pantheon salutes Master Chen.
Captain Pantheon: “I not let you down! And now it’s time for me to get back to training, good bye Master Chen!”
The Captain turns and runs full speed out of the restaurant, never looking back in true Captain Pantheon style.

The scene opens in a dark room, dimly lit by a small ceiling light. The WCF production camera is focused on a shadowy figure sitting on a chair in the middle of the room. Even with the room dark, we can see that the figure is wearing a dark color mixed with white. The other noticeable feature of the mystery person is the shiny belt over their shoulder, with the hazy light reflecting off of its surface. The camera zooms in on the unidentified person, and we quickly find out who it is that we’re seeing.
Captain Pantheon: “Sunday January 1st 2017, live from Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the WCF Galaxy will get to witness wrestling for first time in the New Year. And they will be treated to spectacular show thanks to Sef Lich's creation of the ‘New Year Bish’ one night tournament. Five matches, four wrestlers in each match, the winners of those matches will then be in match at end of the show to determine who the real ‘New Year Bish’ is!”
The Captain adjusts his title belt on his shoulder, sending a glare temporarily across the camera lens.
Captain Pantheon: “But these not regular matches, oh no! Weapons will be dropped from balls above ring. That’s right folks; balls full of all sorts of nastiness are going to be dropped all over us, possibly even hitting us right in our faces!”
Cap awkwardly pauses while thinking of what to say next.
Captain Pantheon: “Now I sure you’re wondering, who will your friendly neighborhood Captain have to face in this first special match?! Well two of my opponents I’ve faced and beaten before, Satan Leopard and Jameson Money. Yeah I know that these One Tolerance boys will be gunning for the Captain, especially with the success I’ve had against them. I sure it still painful for them to see this title belt over my shoulder…”
Captain Pantheon rubs the shiny surface of his belt for an extended moment.
Captain Pantheon: “The truth is Leopard and Money are NEVER going to beat the Captain and Stefan Sing for our tag belts and I’ll tell you why. You see, the members of One Tolerance focus too much on winning the battle and not the war.”
The Captain moves in his seat to a more comfortable position.
Captain Pantheon: “What do I mean by that? Glad you asked, well how about we take One Tolerance’s match at One as example. They put their Trios Titles on the line, while Lazy G’s Hardcore Title was also up for grabs against PANTHEON. Now they could have plotted and schemed as team to do their best to protect their team titles, the ones that ALL OF THEM shared. But did they do that?!”
Cap vigorously shakes his head side to side.
Captain Pantheon: “No, they did not; instead they do their best to protect Lazy G’s precious SINGLES title. Now I get it, it nice to have prestigious title. But what they going to do, rip the hardcore belt into three pieces so that they can share it?!”
Captain Pantheon glances over at this title strap.
Captain Pantheon: “This is what I mean when I say that they lose the war. Sure Lazy G is still a champion, but now Satan Leopard and Jameson Money are but a distant memory from any title picture. My partner, Thiefin’ Stefan Sing, he understand the winning the war philosophy, this was best evidenced back when I fight Teo del Nerdo for Internet title.”
The Captain shakes his arm out.
Captain Pantheon: “Nerdo had me in perfect arm bar, but I want title so badly that I not about to tap out. Stefan, who was the special guest referee, saw that I was not going to give up. So instead of letting my arm break and us losing our tag belts because I not able to compete, he said I give up and lose match.”
Cap looks up at the ceiling for a second as he reminisces about his past match.
Captain Pantheon: “Now at the time, I was very mad calling Stefan a ‘dumb dumb’ and saying that he cost me winning another title. But the truth is that while I was all about the personal glory and living in the now, he was thinking of long term achievements for both of us. I realize this now; I realize that Stefan Sing is a master strategist… and the greatest tag team partner I could ever ask for!”
Captain Pantheon rubs at his eyes as the emotion from talking about his partner overcomes him.
Captain Pantheon: “I owe Stefan for showing me how to make better decisions for this career that I love so much, so this match, I going to pay him back! While you, Satan and Jameson, are fighting as individuals, which you just proved is what you do, I going to use my super hero power and make sure that I do everything I can to make sure Thiefin’ Stefan Sing win this match! If either one of you try to attack Sing from behind or use some kind of tactics to try to get advantage against him, I going to be right there to stop you.”
The Captain stands up from his chair and gets his face as close to the camera as he can get while still being in focus.
Captain Pantheon: “I going to be the ultimate partner to Stefan and make sure that he win this match. What are you two going to do, fight over which one of you was the reason for losing your trios titles?! HA! You see, my partner and I don’t have to do that because we are STILL the champs, we going to be the champs for long time to come!”
Cap looks down at his title and then back towards the camera, nodding to the audience as he sits back down.
Captain Pantheon: “The fact of the matter is that after this New Year Bish deal is done with, Stefan and I still going to be tag team champions and Satan Leopard and Jameson Money are going to be sitting around thinking of ways they can be relevant again. I sure they going to try to spin our match at Slam into getting a title shot, but after Stefan wins this match, they will have officially shown me NOTHING that says they deserve ANYTHING! I not get to where I am today by losing big matches and begging Sef Lich for another opportunity. I win big matches, like Stefan and I’s match at One, and I earn everything I ever have here! You two want to show me that you deserve opportunity against the best team in WCF? Fine, wow me. But you better swing whatever you have as hard as you can, because it going to take the highest power level you have ever reached to hit this Super Saiyan God!”
Captain Pantheon’s eyes look fierce in the faint glow of the room.
Captain Pantheon: “January 1st, first wrestling matches of a new year, yet another opportunity for the Captain to show the Galaxy why he their super hero. I may lose the battle, but when I see Stefan Sing’s hand raised at the end of my match, I will know I have won the war. This will be another year where Team Cap’N Crook are going to continue to be the world’s best tag team, while everyone else One Tolerance included, try to figure out how to stop the unstoppable. See everyone at the party in Philadelphia… BANZAI!!!”
