Holy shit, that's awesome!
...
...
Is what I would say if it were 1997. Don't get me wrong, I'd probably go too, if given the opportunity, but I doubt I'd pay for the experience. Metallica's gone downhill since Saint Anger. I'm not gonna jump on the typical bandwagon about how they "sold out" - because musicians aren't legit unless they're poor? - but the quality of their music has steadily declined since I started listening to them back in the previous century. Death Magnetic, for instance, is the sonic equivalent of a wet Taco Bell fart.
However, depending on their setlist, and coupled with A7X, there's potential for a really good show. So all in all, thumbs up, and enjoy!

I actually enjoyed St. Anger. First Metallica CD I picked up matter of fact. Own them all now, well everything prior to St. Anger. Ride The Lightening is their best IMO.
ANYWAY. Have fun at the show!

Metallica/Guns N Roses Stadium Tour back in 1992 was the last time I saw them live. They co -headlined. Ice-T opened.

Looks like it will be a good show (with exception of Volbeat). I personally loved Death Magnetic (once the mastering problem was dealt with). Though with that said, I have to respond with the obligatory VIKINGS SUCK! Nothing personal...
VIKINGS SUCK!

I didn't like the album but fuck it if the frantic song doesn't stick in my head. Frantic tic tic tic tic tic tock!

But you guys don't understand.. CD loves Metallica. This is like getting tickets to like 15 of your favorite things rolled into one.
Awesome, bro! Enjoy the show!
(P.S. Enjoy the sweet fantastic generic sounds of Volbeat! LOL)

But you guys don't understand.. CD loves Metallica. Bullshit. I love them more. My fucking catchphrase was "Seek the wolf in thyself!" My hometown was "wherever he may roam!" My avatar was James Hetfield '95! Who cares if Corey's alter ego is Creeping Death? Big deal! I could've done the same thing! "Oh, hey guys, my new name is Phantom Lord." Fuck this shit! I'm pissed now! I'm picking a new band to use as inspiration! Cue Coldplay!

I actually enjoyed St. Anger. Me too, but I sure wouldn't be dumb enough to admit it! Jesus. Kinda kidding - I really did defend it for a long time but relistening later on, it... really isn't good. It's Metallica, so I can enjoy it in the context of being my very first favorite band of all time, but "Let's make super long songs without guitar solos and drum on garbage cans!" was not a wise choice. Frantic is the shit, at least.

Anyway though last time I saw Metallica live was Orion which holds a special place in my heart for a ton of reasons, they're still excellent, so I'm a bit jealous. They were also the first concert I ever went to, and thanks to some drunk women, I saw some of my first real life boobs there. Thanks, Metallica.

Metallica/Guns N Roses Stadium Tour back in 1992 was the last time I saw them live. They co -headlined. Ice-T opened. I had tix for that and 3 weeks before the concert the one riot happened and then they postponed the tour and since they didn't know if it was going to finish TM actually gave refunds..............then I find out they did do the concert 3 months later .................
