Post-Match, Backstage at Slam.
After a long, and hard fight in the triple threat match, Andre succeeded in defeating both Roland Von Erich, and Rage Maxx after landing his finishing move on Rage for the one, two, three. During the remaining hours of the show, Andre was treated by the medical staff for the few bruises he received after being completely ragdolled back, and forth by Roland. He's sat down on the table with his back faced to the medical assistant, and he's currently treating the bruises with an ointment that should help to clear it within a week. Andre's sweaty, and he starts to remove the straps off his MMA gloves, and also the tape. During his own medical session, the camera crew are allowed in for a WCF Exclusive post match interview, and he wasn't in the mood for it. His eyes narrows, and he snarls at the sight of the crew coming in when he wants to be treated as quickly as possible. The production manager informs him of how important the post-match interview is, and Andre gives in. The cameras start streaming, and they see Andre sweaty, bruised up, taking deep breathes, and having pauses in between his sentences.

I said it before, and I'll say it again. The experience, technique, and agility I possess all came together into the perfect game plan to win the match. I'll give full credit to Rage, and partial to Roland. Why you ask partial to Roland? He didn't even make it to the finish so why should he get full credit? The story of the night was simple, and obvious. Andre Holmes versus Rage Maxx to prove who can back it up, and when all the cards were laid down, I came out with the jackpot. Rage, he's a very tough competitor, and a very technical one too. However, he thought his strength, and power could be the only reliable option to beat me. He was wrong, and so was everyone else who doubted me. I've proven that that match was already in my favor, the odds were in my Hunger Games. It doesn't end there, it's just getting started. As you can see, I've suffered a few minor bruises to my back but I'll be fine for next week. So whoever they put against me next week, I'll be ready to do the very same to you again. Now if you would kindly leave the medical room for the doctor to continue.
The doctor continued to inspect Andre's body to ensure that aren't any concerning injuries. Half an hour later, he is cleared for training, and for next week's Slam. Without anything to do, he leaves the medical room, and makes way to the locker room. Gathering all the things he needs such as clothing, personal items, he zipped them up in the suitcase, and walked to the inside parking lot with dressed in a black hoodie, silver shorts, and slippers on. He wanted to get back to the hotel so he could take a long shower, and also pack for the next flight to Indianapolis, Indiana. Was he happy to get a great victory on his debut? Ecstatic was more like it., Deep down inside, his confidence was augmented to be bigger than before, and he felt as if he could take on the entire world. That was not the case, one step at a time as he perceived in his mind.
The Inspiration, Interstate.
A black SUV showed up again, and it was an old friend who drove him to the Hilton Garden Inn on Rio Rancho Blvd. Darren pulled up the SUV, and parked the vehicle in front of Andre who smiled as he recognized his old friend. The passenger window was rolled down, and Darren got out of the driver's seat to help him with his luggage into the back. Dressed for the job as usual, a black Tuxedo with his shiny black shoes of course.
Darren
How was it?
Andre Holmes
I won.
Darren
Congratulations! How was the match?
Andre Holmes
Hmm...overall I think it was a match of the night candidate. I took a few harsh bumps like getting thrown into the barricade, and even Choke slammed. Other than that, Roland got taken out, and was sent to the hospital because of some broken rib. Not really sure but Rage was crazy. In the end, I came out on top.
Darren slammed the trunk of the SUV, locking it. Afterwards, both men sat in the front, and shut their doors for Darren to take off, and escort Andre back to the Hilton Inn. Due to traffic jam on the interstate, the journey was delayed but not for long. Andre took time leaning back into the seat, still feeling the pain from the bruises. Darren noticed, and cleared his voice.
Darren
You really enjoy what you do huh?
Andre Holmes
Who wouldn't?
Darren
A lot of people. Why did you get into wrestling anyways?
Andre Holmes
It's a long story.
Darren
Well we have a traffic jam so...
Andre chuckled, and looked outside his window to see a small accident that the authorities are clearing up. He sighed, and cleared his voice.
Andre Holmes
I was four years old, and I lived back in Houston with my parents. My mother was pregnant with my little brother, and my dad was busy working all the time. My mother would always say that you're going to find that one thing you'll love so much, and do anything possible to achieve it. I didn't understand anything she said, and was probably focused on Hey Arnold. Loved that show, you have no idea how much I love 'Hey Arnold'. Umm, I guess until my uncle who was a huge wrestling fan brought home this tape, and my parents wouldn't let me watch it because it portrays violence. So one morning, I woke up extra early, and played the tape to see my favourite wrestler of all time performing in his very prime. Kenta Kobashi.
Darren
Penta Bolashi?
Andre Holmes
Kenta Kobashi.
Darren
Oh...so what about him made you go into wrestling?
Andre Holmes
Everything! His character, his personality, the way he moves, the way he walk, the way he even fights against everything. This man created five moves in Professional wrestling, five! The Black Crush, Diamond Head, Double Arm DDT, Orange Crush, and the legendary Burning Hammer!
Darren
Oh right, the Burning Hammer....yeah.
Darren played along with the excitement Andre was showing, and rolled his blue eyes while trying not to laugh at the kid-like behavior.
Andre Holmes
Exactly! Ever since then, I've watched all his matches, his interviews, and his documentaries. He's a living legend that is respected among the entire world. One day I hope to achieve just as much as he has, and influence people as he's done to me. If I didn't see him, I wouldn't even be here right now.
Andre kicked up his feet a little, and leaned even more against the seat. Moments passed as the authorities continued to clear up the wreckage, and debris. It was getting close to 11:00 in the night, and Darren was intrigued to know that only one man could light up the fire that Andre had for passion of professional wrestling.
Darren
Damn these people taking long.
Andre Holmes
You telling me. I could be at the Hilton right now.
Darren
Okay, here's another question. How did your family react when you told them you wanted to be a professional wrestler?
Andre Holmes
They weren't happy.
Darren
Why?
He sat up in the seat, and coughed a few times. Andre leaned his head to the window, and stared at the traffic moving under the bridge. Darren remained silent, and tried not to impose.
Darren
I understand if you don't want to tell me.
Andre Holmes
It's fine. Umm...they uhh' threatened to kick me out. At first, they weren't happy about their son wasting their time with a fake sport, and a profession that doesn't really need a degree. So years I was bombarded with constant lectures, and you're not gonna make it blah blah blah! Look where I am now.
Darren
You still talk to them?
Andre Holmes
Of course, their my parents.
Darren
Good. That means something.
Andre Holmes
Means what?
Darren
You cherish your family, and your loved ones. I bet it's the same to you, right?
Andre Holmes
Yeah...same to me.
A crooked smile formed on Andre's face when he looked at Darren until he leaned the right side of his face against the window, and that smile vanished. All he thought about was Samantha, and the amazing times they had in their marriage. He rubbed his left eye, and was just soaking reality in. Eventually, they made it back to the Hilton Inn Hotel, and Darren got out of the car with Andre to hand him back his luggage after opening the trunk. Handing Andre the luggage, he slammed the trunk down again, and shook his hand.
Darren
Until next time, right?
Andre Holmes
Hell yeah.
Andre entered back into the lounge of the hotel, and Darren took off. He got back into his booked room, and quickly got into the bathroom for a long shower. Rushing through his mind was mostly the drama, divorce, Samantha, and the kids. That's all he could think about after the conversation he had with Darren. Turning off the water, the bathroom was still steamy, and he rubbed the mirror to get a good reflection. Staring into his own hazel eyes, his fists was shaking from even remembering the terrible moments. He slammed his hands on the sink, and just walked out of the bathroom half-naked with a towel wrapped around his waist. After a few minutes, he had on red boxers, and a white shirt as his usual pajamas. Suddenly, a vibrating noise was heard. His phone was ringing, and it was Samantha who was calling him. He just let it rang for a few seconds, and a message was done instead. Andre collasped into his bed, and had a full week ahead of him.
Driving clears the mind, Indiana, Indianapolis.
Thursday, December 10th. Andre had everything he needed for the next week card of Slam. The officials already took care of his travel plans, and booked him at the Hampton Inn located on 105 S Meridian. It was yesterday that he arrived, and took a taxi to have a rental car of his choosing for the time being. As usual, he always goes for the 2014 Lexus RX 350. Yesterday was just another day in his schedule. Wake up, train, take a flight, rent a car, train again, and receive word of his opponent. Who is it? None other than Dexter Radcliffe. Andre took time out of this morning to do a little research as he usually does to form a game plan, and study his opponent. There was little information of him personally but mostly the word 'Pantheon' kept coming up.
It was one in the afternoon, and Andre set up his canon camera to record in his car, facing him across from the passengers angle. He took his time on the road, cruising to relax, and ease his mind. Dressed in a black button shirt, blue jeans, and black converses, he fixed his shades, and started speaking in a firm tone.
Andre Holmes
If there's one thing I know in this world, every opponent you meet will always bring something new to the table. No matter how much of the same style they use, how similar their actions are, it's always something new. Last week, I went in against two other new signed talents, and came out victorious as I said I would do. However, this talent can be regarded as a rising superstar already in the works. At least that what the others say. However, I just see him as someone who took a year, and a half in the same tier without any signs of breaking up. It's pretty much he's been on the same level, and couldn't beat Shang Tsung no matter how hard he tries. He's pretty much at the glass ceiling of his career for now. You might be wondering who I am talking about? It's simple. Dexter Radcliffe. It's obvious we have never met each other, scratch that, heard of each other until now. He's impressive but I don't think he's ready for an upstart like me. I'm not being cocky, I'm speaking how I see it. I did the same thing to Rage, and Roland, and I ended up the victor.
Dexter is a stalemate. Nothing to give, nothing to take. He's just average, and uhh very consistent. You know how you will go to your favourite restaurant, order the same thing over, and over? Yeah, the food will taste great because you know what to expect but after a while, you tend to crave something else. Weird analogy but its true. He doesn't stand out, he's pretty much a skilled wrestler with a good face. The only thing that ever stands out in his career is Pantheon in WCF. That's what I keep seeing every time I even search his name. Pantheon, Pantheon, Pantheon.
He shook his head, and scoffed.
So you mean to tell me that in order to have your career even be considered relevant is to join a group? That's such a weak, and easy way out. I'm not one to be in groups, and I'm not one to need people. I have myself, and myself alone when it comes down to it. That's what I do. You can't trust anyone in this business but yourself. You want to establish a group to have each others back, fine but when you rely on each other to get a job done, and they can't, all hell breaks loose. A good example was #BreachKrew, and their leader pissed off because their second in command couldn't handle the job. It has its ups, and downs but if you want something done right, you do it yourself. The most factual proverb in the history of mankind. So Dexter, I'll be doing you a favor. You have the chance to rekindle your singles career, and break through that glass ceiling. You have a chance to go higher than Shang Tsung, and finally to Shao Kahn because if you don't, you're nothing more than a man whose reached his peak at an all time low. I pray to God right now that he gives you the power to beat me because the truth is, I have everything to lose, and you have everything to gain.
He took the camera from the little tripod, and held it close to his face while keeping his eyes on the road. He was smirking.
And here's a little message to Pantheon. Judge this match, and evaluate him. Please do.
The footage was fully recorded, and later uploaded to the WCF exclusive videos webpage.
